    Unorganized, no entertainment value

by GingTX on 4/26/16South Side Ballroom - Dallas

Very unorganized, very long lines. The "music" is played by a DJ of sort or just from a recorder. There are some teenagers who would sing once in awhile. And the "main" attraction is the meet and greet for VIPs where the line up (long line) so they can hug/take photos of the teenagers (most of them do not perform, just there for the meet/greet). Most of the boys are nice enough to sign autographs except for Cameron Dallas -- the ONLY one who will not sign anything! But the whole point and only "value" was the meet and greet but he won't sign. The security told me that it was because the line would get really long if they allowed it. But everyone else signed, and it takes additional 1 sec to sign. We already lined up too long! Girls were soooo disappointed and realized what a snub to do that! So never again for Cameron Dallas! And in one of the days, he "greeted" while talking to another boy...didn't even really greet or gave my daughter her few seconds.

    Magcon Tour Dallas 2016

by AMom72 on 4/26/16South Side Ballroom - Dallas

I took my 11 year old daughter to this event, and we left soon after the event began. At an event targetting teen and pre-teen girls, I was very disappointed by the fact that there was alcohol provided for parents (who began drinking at 3:30 in the afternoon). I was also offended by some of the music they were choosing to play for their young audience. My daughter came to me after the third song, with tears streaming down her face, because she was, in her own words, "disappointed that the songs had bad language." I used this as a teachable moment, and, although she is still a "fan", she will never attend another Magcon event.

    MagCon was a rip off!

by AnnoyedParent on 4/10/16Myth - Maplewood

My daughter attended the Magcon show in Minneapolis in April 2016. I purchased a priority ticket which should have entitled her to early entrance before general admission tickets and a MagCon poster. She received neither! In fact, the doors opened one hour past the posted time and it was freezing outside! Overall my daughter enjoyed the "show" and was so excited to be there but from a parent point of view it was a big waste of money!

    Not good

by Powerfull on 4/9/16Myth - Maplewood

Staff was rude. Staff had no idea what they were doing. The Magcon crew was also rude and unprepared. Do not overpay to attend this event. Two thumbs down.

    Magcon was unbelievable

by JenniferArgenal on 4/6/16Myth - Maplewood

I didn't get VIP, but I was lucky enough to meet the Magcon boys. I got really close to the ones I didn't meet and it was a blast!

This wasn't a concert! It was an unorganized mess

by Rodabo on 4/6/16Myth - Maplewood

Took my daughter to see this concert. Everybody was extremely disappointed. They play music on the stage like top 40s music but none of it was theirs. The celebrities are all lined up in the back and front of step and repeat for the people that paid for the meet and greet. It is literally a meet and greet with some terrible karaoke in the background most of the time the stage is empty minus the few stage parents that are roaming around on it taking pictures of the crowd it is nothing but a meet and greet. I watched many girls are paid for general admission cry as they realize they were even going to get to see their celebrities perform. We did the priority and never even received promised poster

    Awful "show"

by MrsBjon on 4/6/16Myth - Maplewood

If I could've given zero stars I would.... This so-called "show" was nothing but a meet and greet (if you had VIP) of the actual Magcon boys that my daughter came to see, we basically watched two girls lip sync other people's music and dance (horribly) on stage. My daughter didn't have a VIP ticket and if you didn't have one you didn't get to meet the Magcon boys, at one point my daughter was crying because it was not at all what she expected it to be. It was a poor set up and shouldn't be listed as a "concert" or "show" by any means! The only nice thing that happened was that the Magcon boys gave autographs on their merchandise after the show was over, otherwise total flop and huge waste of money. Parents, if you child is begging to go to this "show/concert" I highly recommend getting VIP tickets, as with the priority admission ticket we got NOTHING more than the general admission or better yet save the time, money, and heartache and stay home!! That's what I would've done had I known what this "show" was really going to be!!

    MAGCON WAS INCREDIBLE!!!

    by Cbaker559 on 4/6/16Myth - Maplewood

Most of the fans and all of the performers were really nice! I didn't have vip tickets but I still got to meet Aaron Carpenter and Taylor Caniff. The overall event was really fun and the security was laid back.

VIP IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO!!

by Shaeley on 4/5/16Myth - Maplewood

I thought that since it was MAG (meet and greet) everyone would be able to meet and greet. It's ONLY VIP!! Good to know now!! The only way to go with magcon is VIP!!!

    Magcon is a waste

    by Illinois001 on 4/5/16Myth - Maplewood

Magcon is a joke! Stranded outside an hour later than was supposed to. Was in shortly figured out that there was only seating for parents in a cramped Bar area, enough to seat maybe 20 parents. They "act" is only on the stage for about 20 mins......the rest of the time they are getting their pics taken. The other 8 hrs. you are left watching 1 no name girl dance on the stage to random music. This had the vibe of a traveling circus or a bunch of gypsies. There are only a couple of the group left that comes to the events. Talked to one of the parents if the talent and they were complaining that they don't hardly get paid enough to cover airfare and hotels and feel exploited by Bart the manager. Just not a good experience and was very similar to other parents I spoke with......F.Y.I.....the video of the parents saying great things about Magcon was made by Bart.

Didn't know what to expect; pleasantly surprised

by Momofapreteengirl on 4/5/16Myth - Maplewood

When my daughter begged me to go to MAGCON, I tried to Google it to see what kind of band they were and what kind of music they played. It's not that kind of concert. This is, in a nutshell, a big party featuring a bunch of boys ranging in age from early teen to early 20's who have gotten popular on social media sites like Vine, YouTube, Music.ly and Instagram, etc. They do different things, mostly NOT really singing. Some of them do acoustic covers of popular songs, some do a karaoke version of a song and some just wear mics and sing over a song or lip synch. The DJ plays popular crowd favorites while most of the boys stand at the back of the room hosting the meet and greet. Which is why all the girls are there anyway!! My daughter bought the VIP ticket herself and said it was worth every penny. The parent ticket was GENIUS. We pay one rate no matter what ticket she gets and the communication before the show was great! Emails as to what to expect, where to be and when. VIP is the way to go, but they do give out a handful of upgrades to general admission for things like a poster contest or a parent dance contest. All in all, it was a good experience and she got pictures and hugs from ALL her favorites. As her parent, I got to go wherever she did so I could watch.
