CALIBRE 50 IN CONCERT:
Regional Mexican outfit Calibre 50 may be new on the scene, but they've already made great strides towards becoming legends of the corrido with their smart songwriting and tireless touring. Featuring traditional Sinaloan instruments like the tuba and the twelve-string guitar, the quartet's live shows evoke the region's placid, sun-drenched landscapes through narrative ballads of love and struggle. A constant touring presence in their native Mexico, Calibre 50 will bring a much-anticipated slice of Sinaloa to US fans on select 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in 2010 in Sinaloa, Mexico, Calibre 50 made their album debut that same year with Renovar o Morir, a powerful collection of narrative songs depicting regional themes like local rivalries and the seedier side of rural Mexican life. After scoring their first hit with 2011's "El Tierno Se Fue," the band released several more successful albums, cementing their status in Mexico and earning them a growing fanbase in the US. 2013's Corridos de Alto Calibre marked a return to roots for the band, standing as another fine collection of regional narrative ballads and anchored by the No. 1 hit "Los Inmigrantes."
The concert was good. The band played well! The issue was the setup of the stage,it was not great. I was on the side section and the speakers on the side did not let me see the actual stage. I was pretty bummed because I paid for good seats and I wasn’t able to see from where I sat. Pictures consisted of half of the body singer because the speaker was covering.
It was great caliber 50 did a great show I always want to attend on of them concerts
Concert was great but our seats were double booked. We had etickets while the other party had paper tickets. Dealing with guest services then back and forth missed like an hour of the show by the time we got new tickets
Love how the do events at the convention center. The bands were great and brought big crowds. Fun event
My family loved it they were so happy! Music sounded very good. Everything was at my expectations would love to go again!

I was falling a sleep and I thought it would be better and I thought we would be able to dance but no roomy dance and the chairs are so uncomfortable
Loved and enjoyed the show from beginning to end, it was a great concert
The concert was great as the venue and the security. The only negative that I have is..... men were hanging outside the women's bathrooms. When we attend concerts at the Forum security DOES NOT allow any men to hang out by the women's restrooms and wait for the wife,girlfiend, or family member. Security at the Forum forces the men to move away from the entrance of the women's restrooms, which honestly I feel much safer especially when I am attending these concerts with my young teenager daughters.
All 4 bands were excellent and were full of energy. The venue was perfect. The venue staff were Nice and Peofessional. We had the best time!
I was expecting more from the even lineup even more from Calibre 50, but show was average. Would not spend money to see them again.
This concert was amazing! Calibre 59 really knows how to put a show on. My only complain is that it was shorter than I thought. I expected other artist to play before them like in other concerts I've been to. Other than that it was amazing
The event was great. The band was amazing. Getting to visit the fair is always a bonus.
This is the 3rd year I’ve attended Calibre 50 and I still enjoyed it!
They said concert would be more than two hours it was less than 1 and 30 mins the area was not so great it was disappointing

The group has a lot of great songs enough to put on more than a two hour show easy. So than why do they only play for one hour and a half? When you hear that they play in Mexico till two in the morning for 10 dollar ticket? Are these artists(all) taking advantage of us show starts at 8 they don’t show till 836 than stop right before 10. We work hard for our money too some people plan for months before to save up for a dream night, someone needs to fix this. I gave the venue 5 stars because it felt small and personal something I love, but the group has done this twice to me and would rate them at half a star.
