    Amazing!

by peterazen on 4/9/10Terminal 5 - New York

the best performance I've seen of Caetano live. Started with an amazing version of A Voz do Morto and played classics as Leãozinho as well as a great cover of Kasiin's song "Água". With Calado on the drums and the amazing Pedro Sá on the guitars you can't go wrong.

The concert was great! It's the rock n' Roll Caetano version, but he still sings some of the old and amazing songs.

    An Unforgettable Night

by NeverMindSense on 4/9/10Terminal 5 - New York

Caetano began at 8:15pm on the dot with no introduction. He began to sing as if he was an old friend of yours that you barely had time to miss. He then decided to take you on a journey from Bahia to London and then over to New York circa 1971. By the end he gave three encores and still the crowd was left wanting more.

Too many people recording the performance on their cameras and not paying attention to the magic that is Caetano!

    Legendary

I wish the show was 2 more hours. I wish he played a few more songs on the acoustic.

Caetano really took a risk by playing songs the audience was not familiar with. There was a lot of talking go on which isnot usually a good sign at a concert.

    Caetano Veloso en NYC.

by Fulanodetal on 4/9/10Terminal 5 - New York

It was a great show. Caetano deals with the pass of time in an amazing way, still with a perfect but natural voice and plenty of energy. His show was intimate and expressive, showing all his tricks, deploying the simple beauty of his poetry. Nevertheless, the sound of the site was under my expectations.

    sublime

by bnewyork on 4/9/10Terminal 5 - New York

it was simply sublime. Caetano is a gem. I liked him before, I love him now. You can really describe the magic, you have to be there and be part of that beautiful energy. Happy, loving, giving and above all funny! He's so funny. Dancing with his red polo and his jeans. I have very seen a 67 year old so youthful before. He did not do a show, he was not performing really, he was "being", and what a beaufiful creature. The sound was excellent. He gave all songs a very strong rock edge with the electric guitar: it was really cool and modern.

    Masterful at 67

    by Tomn123 on 4/9/10Terminal 5 - New York

What a performance, and what a generous artist. He performed many songs from the new album and many old songs. The crowd was mostly Brazilian, and we all sang the lyrics. His band was young, talented and the rock samba bossa music that Caetano has innovated over his long career is alive and well. He continues to push the musical envelope and grow as artist and master. The only disappointment was that he only performed one song with the classical guitar...I wished for MORE. As much as he has been an innovator on the Brazilian music scene, he is really the next master after Joao Gilberto of the Bossa-Nova. Muito Obrigado Caetano!
