About

Acclaimed folk-rock band Caamp hits the road in 2025! The band recently released their brand new EP, Somewhere, their first collection of new music since 2022. The EP captures the band's signature warmth and introspective storytelling while exploring themes of love, change, nostalgia, and letting go.

Leading the release is "Let Things Go," a track that embodies the EP's reflective core. With its gentle, rolling arrangement and lyrics urging release and renewal, the song serves as a poignant reminder of the power of moving forward.

Caamp's loyal fans have helped them amass 2.2B + streams across their entire discography, 4.3MM + Monthly Listeners across DSPs, and an active social media following. With sold-out tours, headlining festival plays, and TV appearances, including Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS This Morning, and Stephen Colbert, Caamp continues its journey with this new EP and single.

Caamp hails from Columbus, Ohio, and was founded by Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall, who grew up together. They launched the band out of Athens, OH, where Meier was attending Ohio University. Caamp has released four previous full-lengths - their self-titled 2016 debut, 2018's Boys, By and By in 2019 and Lavender Days in 2022.

  • big thumbs down to Covid restrictions

by unknown on 11/1/21Avondale Brewing Co. - BirminghamRating: 1 out of 5

Disappointed that the band required non-science based Covid restrictions. If you are going to require a negative Covid test for entry then you need to require for ALL, not just unvaxxed since we KNOW the vaccinated can get it and spread it. So tired of antibodies and natural immunity being ignored as well. Glad to see other bands not requiring it, but it was very disappointing that CAAMP played into the medical "theater"

  • Underwhelming

by StefB on 11/1/21Avondale Brewing Co. - BirminghamRating: 2 out of 5

Had been looking forward to this show for months, but we left feeling disappointed. The band’s performance seemed very immature in contrast to their thoughtful lyrics & after an hour of standing in the cold rain, we had heard very few of their hit songs. The icing on the cake was at the merch table— stood in line for over 30 minutes and bought an album before the show only to get it home, open it & find out that it was not the colored vinyl they’d had on display, it was just black vinyl. Overall just a disappointing experience.

  • Needed a Seat!

by HipsterB on 10/31/21Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Great band, but I really wish there were seats. We were standing on concrete for HOURS!!! Haha, I’m 34, not that old, but kind of wished there wasn’t an encore at the end of the night!

  • Good venue and concert.

by Rico on 10/31/21Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the venue, the concert and opener’s were both good. The old fashioned they were serving left a lot to be desired, seemed the bartender didn’t truly know how to make one.

  • Fantastic concert and venue

    by J. C. on 10/30/21Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Caamp is a fantastic band to see live. They played great songs and interacted with the crowd, also. Checking in at Old Forester's was really easy. It was packed but wasn't cramped. I like smaller venues better than large arenas anyway.

  • Good venue and great band!

by Zach on 10/30/21Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the show was great. The sound production was very good but the acoustics of the place aren’t great, and in combination with the concrete floors it kind of feels feels like you’re in a high school gym. Wear comfortable shoes. The place is spacious. But the bar lines moved slowly and were long. Good thing is their location means you are waiting in the crowd so you don’t feel like you are missing the concert. This venue is like mercury ballroom but larger and with less vibe.

  • Great music! Started super late.

by Me on 10/30/21Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 3 out of 5

I LOVE Caamp! It was my first concert seeing them. The music was great! I love their vibe! Venue was clean and nice. Lines for drinks were super long. My major con was that the concert was moved from 8:00 to 7:30. However, the opening band didn't start until 8:15 and Caamp didn't start until almost 9:30. I thought the wait before show was extremely too long. Especially since it was General Admission, standing room only. Next time I see Caamp is if I have a seat.

  • Great Show, Venue Could Improve

by Caamp Fan on 10/30/21Old Forester's Paristown Hall - LouisvilleRating: 4 out of 5

First, the concert was phenomenal. Caamp put on an A+ show as expected and the opening acts were enjoyable. Why 4 stars? Lines, lines, lines. Lines for eveything. Lines to get in the door. Lines for the restroom. And the lines for beer/drinks - out.of.control. The venue was not at capicity and it took 20 minutes to get in (due to covid checks which fine) and 25 minutes to get beer. May i suggest bar carts for beer/seltzer cans only and leave the bar for the mixed drink and wine crowd? It was so crowded trying to get to the bar also. Lines everywhere that were not even lines. People cutting because of the chaos (not because they were trying to). So tldr: please do something about the lines in particular the drink lines.

  • Awesome band!!

  • SWEET

If I could buy stock in CAAMP, I would. I love their music. They are going to be big.

  • The lights weren't the best idea

by Cori on 10/29/21Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Standing in the crowd, around 10 rows from the front of the stage, the lights that kept repeatedly shining out into the audience were shining directly in our faces. The show itself was great, the venue was wonderful, but it was brought down a bit for us because of the man we witnessed fall over and start seizing in the crowd. I can't say the lights shining into our faces was a trigger, but obviously things like that should come with a warning or just not be done at all.

  • 1st time at Caamp

by DawntheBawmb on 10/29/21Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Waiting to see them since 3/13/20 and I was not disappointed. I love their laid back energy, everyone gets in to it and sings all the words. They sound even better live! I absolutely love these guys! Feel better soon Taylor 💕

  • Ticketmaster or Venue screws up ticket transfers?

by Chrissy on 8/31/21EXPRESS LIVE! - ColumbusRating: 1 out of 5

After waiting in line to get into the venue, when we got to the ticket scanner, they would not accept my transferred ticket. I had to go back out and stand in line again in the ticket line to prove we bought out ticket and get a paper ticket. This took an additional 45 minutes. By the time we got into the show we missed opening band and there we no lawn spots available. The ticket person said any tickets transferred the day of the show were declined because their manager didn’t go into that system and “enter the codes” for the tickets transferred that day. What antiquated system is that? Whose at fault- Express Live or Ticketmaster? Regardless this makes me not want to see shows here. What a mess.

  • The best

    by Jquick42 on 8/31/21EXPRESS LIVE! - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic from beginning to end. Felt safe at the venue. Thorough vaccine card checking was appreciated. Caamp was thinking upstanding as always and the hometown energy is something to experience!

  • First Caamp Show

    by Jenny C on 8/31/21EXPRESS LIVE! - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

My 1st live show since Covid. I live for live music. I've heard of Caamp, but knew nothing about them or their music before the show. I went with a group of friends that had an extra ticket. I had a great time. The music was very enjoyable. The venue, Express Live, is very nice. The best part: the fans. Everyone was kind and inclusive. It took some mental power to get used to having strangers so close since being socially distanced for 18 months and this was a great show for that.

  • Fabulous show

by Andy on 8/31/21EXPRESS LIVE! - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Another great Caamp show - can’t wait to see them again!

  • What an amazing concert! My husband and I had a lovely time!

by Elizabeth on 8/31/21EXPRESS LIVE! - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! My only critique/suggestion would be adding some better non alcoholic options to the concessions menu!

  • Amazing

This was a great performance! Would go see them again in a heartbeat.

  • CAAMP @expeess live! Columbus OH

by pam on 8/30/21EXPRESS LIVE! - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This venue is small, intimate, easy to access, and with clean facilities. The opening acts were well placed and great talent. CAAMP came out at 9p and showed us their hearts with each song played and every strum of banjo and guitar. Second best summer concert so far in 2021!! Thank you CAAMP!!

  • great band, fair venue because of no seating
