We sat on the lawn and it seemed as though the speakers for the lawn were off. The sound was really weak and energy vibe was low because of it. I was really looking forward to seeing Chevelle for the first time and this was a huge let down. Never again will I sit on the lawn. The speakers actually started working for a few seconds and the volume intensified but then shut right back off so I know there was an issue.
Had a great time! alcoholic drinks are wayyyyy to expensive. $62 plus tip for 4 drinks.....
The Buzzfest is and will be always in my yearly must list! Great organization, great bands!
I don’t care who you are, this was the best concert ever.
Was 5 star lineup- but sucks that you can't see each band. If they are going to have the side stage completely away from the main stage, should be 10 minutes between acts so you can get from one to the other. I like the Edgefest in Frisco setup better where the stages are at either end of the field, and you can see/hear all acts. Problem there is the sound system is not near as good as at the Pavilion. This lineup was great. Rated from best to worst: 1. Offspring - of course 2. The Struts- these guys are going to be big. I got the same feeling as when I saw the Police on their first US tour (1977) 3. AWOL- problem here was had to leave the Offspring set and run around to side stage and wedge way thru to get close 4. Nothing But Thieves- wish they had been on side stage so could have been close to stage. And to you people that only pay attention to the song you've heard on the radio, if you come to the show, get into it or get out the way. 5. Cage the Elephant 6. Blue October 7. Fitz & Tantrums 8. Toadies, the rest of them I was kinda disappointed in Big Data
The concert was fantastic so was the Woodland's Pavilion. The staff at the Woodlands were excellent. I felt safe at all times. The only thing I would recommend is that the 2nd stage be higher or have screens. I had a hard time seeing the bands on the stage.
I went with my daughter and it was a blast. But so far Buzzfest never disappoints.
We had an awesome time! Ages 14 - 49 in our family. Band selection was great and we had a lot of fun.
Buzz Fest has become a tradition but this time was the best ever! Only difficult thing was getting from main stage to second stage in time to enjoy each performer. Quite a trek I must say!
Not sure if it was just the audio settings for this event or all of the time, the acoustics were not great from where I was sitting. Singers were muffled. Concessions: Burgers were just awful and for such a high price they could at least been 'good' Beer prices have gone through the roof. 30 minute long lines at beverage concessions and couldn't get the flavor I wanted which was only 2 cashier stations away. Absolutely a huge letdown..
Let me start by saying I always attend buzzfest, every year. This year there were many different things that happened. From purchasing tickets online, there was no print option any more, per the venue to extremely long lines that did not move when purchasing food and drinks. I missed 40 minutes of a band playing up until Blue October and I decided to walk out the line. That has never happened to me before. It was disappointing because you are there for an all day event and this happened every time you got up to buy something. Restrooms were fine. It moved quickly. Overall, the bands were great.
The Struts were the act to beat! They could put on a clinic for how to win over an audience. They deserve to have a later billing, so they can look and sound fabulous in front of a bigger crowd. Our Lady Peace was a nice break in between POD and Papa Roach. This was Papa Roach's first time to headline, and they did not disappoint. Jacoby wandered into the crowd several times and made the show as intimate as he could. Interviews and autograph signings were a bonus! Can't recommend The Struts enough.
I loved it as usual!!! Rod Ryan, Theresa, and the whole crew know how to put on a show!!!!!
paparoach, pod, bring me the horizon were definitely crowd favorites. pod set should of been just before paparoach. our lady peace and candlebox are pretty good, but not relevant lately - maybe a reach.
After attending other concerts at this venue and Rockstar Mayhem Festival, this was huge let down. Although I knew the talent, the performers were very disappointing. The sound was not great. It is a horrible design with NO rest time between bands, that is ridiculous. It would be better if they could broadcast the second stage in the main area so that people could see and hear. Will NOT be attending this horrible event again.
Papa roach was awesome the show was great as always.
I have loved this event since my friend introduced me. I always look forward for Buzzfest, I was a bit disappointed when the announcement was not made in the Spring, but I guess it made up for it in the fall! Im already excited for the next one. Its always so awesome!
Not many games and prizes at this Buzzfest. Evans Blue is one of my favorites, they just did not put on a great show this time.
Well well well, kinda disappointing. I have to say that this wasn't the best Buzzfest ever and we have been to a lot. Chevelle did rock the house, their setlist was awesome. Papa Roach was good too, Jacoby put on one of the best shows I have seen him do. But, that was it. The rest of the bands were ho hum. Crowd to the side stage was packed and couldn't see anything. I am glad we had reserved seats so we could come and go as we wanted, plus their were no lawn chairs sold for the lawn! So glad I wasn't on the lawn for this reason. This will probably be the last buzzfest I attend unless there is a fantastic headliner. I have preferred previous Buzzfests when they have four really really good main stage bands!! That's when it rocks.
