    The Guess Who's Greatest Hits!

by TheHiMiler on 7/15/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

Excellent Venue. Show was moved indoors, so we upgraded to reserved SEATING so we wouldn't be forced to stand all night. Good Call. Fantastic setlist, & while his voice is 40 years older, it is still better to hear the ORIGINAL than an imposter. A very enjoyable evening of classic hits that we all grew up with. I was very satisfied.

BURTON CUMMINGS IS AN ENTERTAINER !!

by MsSharlet on 7/15/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

When a singer can come out on stage, sing for at least 2 hours, take you on a musical scenic journey of his life as well as your own and can do all this effortlessly, with humor and total professional and respect of the God given opportunity that has taken him to the heights of his career--and do it all with a smile ---and you sit there spellbound, dancing and smiling along with the man-- You have not only heard a fantastic singer sing his classic songs with a fantastic backup band- And did it all without the distraction of fog machines and half naked dancing girls....YOU MY FRIEND HAVE JUST BEEN ENTERTAINED. it is a lost art. Many never have time to learn the craft. BURTON CUMMINGS could teach the class. Just straight-up music and straight-out there singing. Don't think for a minute that he can't still hit the HIGH NOTES! and he did--effortlessly.. I HAVE ALWAYS FELT CHEATED. I NEVER GOT TO SEE ELVIS PERFORM A LIVE SHOW. I AM OVER ALL OF THAT...I HAVE JUST SEEN "THE BURTON CUMMINGS" and--IF I AM LUCKY--I'LL HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE HIM AGAIN...

by TTDubya on 7/15/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

This was one of the finest shows I have seen in several years.... Burton made the audience feel like it was his privilege to perform for us. His voice was in great shape, and He covered all the bases..... Well worth the pittance charged for admission! Rock on Burt !!

    Burton Cummings still going strong.

by RitaMaeB on 7/15/11Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

He was just wonderful. He can still sing and play like he did in the old days. He hasn't lost anything over the years. His band is quite talented. They all seemed to be having so much fun playing. The venue was great- looking forward to going there again now that we know about it. We had great seats.

    Still going strong

by Timelesslove on 6/6/11River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Burton and the band do an amazing performance. I have seen him many times over the years and still love him. For 2 hours hundreds of people are young again singing along without a care. Nice to see such a wide range of ages that love Burton!!!

    Awesome!

by marymainliner on 6/6/11River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

I attended with a friend of almost 50 years and my daughter. The seats were great, the energy very good and all in all, it was an awesome experience. Burton told us late in the concert that at 6:30 that night, he was considering cancelling because he was sick. We are so grateful that he didn't. He may not have played and sang at his best from his point of view, but from ours, it was great.

Burton Cummings, the best rock and roller EVER

by Americanjim1 on 6/5/11River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Second time we've seen him. Will go EVERY time we are able. Amazing voice. Very entertaining. Great band. Great music. Burton Cummings is amazingly talented and very funny and a great entertainer. If you haven't seen him or heard him, you are missing something very special. I'd go a second night if he did two shows.

    Best concert in years!

by flatlander on 5/30/11Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Surprisingly we got our tickets near the last moment, but this show was phenomenal! Definitely one of the best shows we have seen in years. Maybe a bit biased because I am from Winnipeg as well, but just a unbeatable performance by Burton and the entire band.

Ticket was for my moms birthday she said it was 2hrs an 15 minutes of giv'r by Burton. Too bad the new artists these days don't take a few notes when you pay to see them perform the audience wants to see them not the side shows and the breaks!

My seat ended up being almost first row. I was able to "Chuck Berry" walk across the front row during Louie Louie. Great sound. Great venue.

    Burton Cummings Always phenominal

by Bobalooie on 5/17/11Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Burton as usual was nothing less than brilliant. After all these years his voice is second to none. He apologized for being sick and that his voice might be a bit "froggy". We knew he was sick, when he talked you could hear it, but not a trace when he sang. And he sang his heart out for sure. A solid 2 and a quarter hours. The band was really tight and did a great job. All very very talented musicians. Been listening to Mr. Cummings for over 40 years, and never been even close to disappointed.

    Burton Cummings still Rockin'

by RockingRabbit on 5/17/11Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

excellent show...Burton had an all new band....they were excellent....the set was heavy on Guess Who stuff...he did some of the usual solo stuff....ended with No Time before the encore....he only did one song from the latest album, "Rollaway", which is my least favorite song on the album, although the band members did the harmony and dressed in choir cassocks, so it was better then the album version...Burton kept saying how he had a bug and wasn't feeling well, but he couldn't cancel Hamilton Place, his favorite hall.....he dedicated a song to Jack Richardson, who died on Saturday....also, he recorded a live CD and DVD at Massey Hall in TO that they're finishing up with production.....his voice was pretty good, much better than I expected.....I think he's lowered the key of a few songs, and doesn't quite hit the high notes as well, but he still sounded great...my wife really liked the show too, and the crowd was pretty excited....mostly an older crowd, but Burton delivered what they wanted...Burton played about 2 hours, including encore....and he also played "Louie Louie" which was fun.....excellent show

    Just Like the Old Days

by GeoGeeps on 9/16/10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

We were travelling from Washington State to an unknown venue and were a little nervous as to what we would find. The only thing we knew was that he was playing at a casino and we were not looking forward to the smoke infestation we thought we would encounter so we didn’t leave our hotel until the last minute. We were pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the venue smoke free so was the casino! We had great seats, but I don’t think there is a bad seat in the whole place. Burton and his band played for over 2 hours and played a lot of his greats. Even though he played so many songs, we wished he would have played a few more off of the “Above the Ground” CD. The songs he did play sounded just the same as they did way back when they were first released. He seemed genuinely happy to be on stage entertaining all of us! Can’t wait until he comes down this way to Washington State.

Burton Cummings event truly was beyond amazing. He truly is a deserving superstar. The band is a fantastic backup for him. I have not enjoyed a concert as much as I enjoyed this one. Thank you Burton Cummings for such a great time. Last time I saw Burton was in Edmonton as a opening act for Dino, Desi and Billy back in 67.

Burton Cummings Voice Brings Back the Magic

by CheriGigHarbor on 9/13/10Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Burton Cummings, formerly The Guess Who, now touring as a solo artist with the Carpet Frogs, blew the audience away with his clear mastery of voice and keyboard. Time isn't kind to many of the 60's era rockers, but Cummings not only sounds amazing, he looks amazing, too. Charming and personal, he reminisced with the audience about moments and inspirations for many of his best-loved songs. The crowd loved him and the warmth and affection exuded from the audience and from Burton back, who delivered an upbeat two-hour performance of great song after great song. Taking on almost a party atmosphere, Cummings called out to friends and his "faithful" whom he recognized in the audience, at one point spotting an old Winnipeg friend who knew him in his teen garage-band days with the Deverons. It was an amazing night and an unforgettable music experience.
