3 great bands, lots of guest appearances as well from local bands and artists. Higher education, Joey Harkum, and Bumpin Uglies all put on a great show, lots of crowd interaction. Home town show feel.
The concert venue was so loud, I’m pretty sure everyone there got permit damage. We had to go buy ear plugs. Ridiculous. Do better 9:30
I had a great time, the bands did an amazing job. I would recommend anyone that hasn’t, to see them next time they are around
The opening acts, Higher Education and Joey Harkum brought a great energy. They both gave outstanding performances. The horn section and keys added great depth to the music of Bumpin Uglies. Their music helps put an end to ear and poverty. It will align the planets allowing meaningful contact with all forms of life from extraterrestrials to common household pets. And it’s excellent for dancing.
Both bands gave an amazing performance and a night to remember not just for us but all our friends that came out to party! !THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME NIGHT!
Show was good from a music standpoint. I was disappointed with smoking inside the venue. “No smoking” should apply to weed as well as tobacco products. The venue has a nice dedicated smoking area. Please enforce the :no smoking” for all products. Thanks
the venue was super cool, and the openers were dope too. definitely recommend buying a parking pass before you show up, finding parking was hard. other than that, great show. had some local bands open up which was cool.
If you have not yet caught Bumpin Uglies you really need to. They're a national touring band who absolutely kill it every time they take the stage. Led by Brandon Hardesty this band is on the rise. This show was the annual Ugly Sweater Party which is more like a family reunion you actually want to go to than just a show. Baltimore natives Joint Operation opened the night to a sold-out crowd at the SoundStation and they were great, next up was Tropidelic (Out of Ohio) who are always amazing to watch (If you haven't heard James spit some rhymes you're missing out) - they played a bunch of their faves and closed with a devastating cover of Rage's Killing in the Name - the crowd was singing along the whole time. Finally, Bumpin took the stage and delivered almost 2 hours of amazing performance, with Wolfie on bass, Ethan on the keys and TJ on his set PLUS the full horns section, and added percussion on the bongos. It was an amazing night that ended with Uglies' Hard Liquor with many local guests and friends getting up on stage to add their bars... Truly an amazing night to remember!!!
I've been to many shows at the Soundstage, it's always been great music, great service, and great times. The venue is relaxed and fun.
I had so much fun! It was such a blast! So glad I was able to do and enjoy myself with others who enjoy the same music! Definitely one of the best concerts I’ve been too.
All three bands put on an amazing show. Lots of love within the crowd as well as on stage.
Bumpin Uglies show was amazing. They were incredible, as well as the opening bands. Higher Education and the Bastard Suns were great and I have a couple of new favorite bands. The venue, District Live was exceptional. Clean bathrooms, plenty of space and a great bar staff. They served good drinks fast.I can’t wait to go back and see any of these bands and I hope that the venue keeps pulling in good acts to play.
A wonderful night of music. If you like reggae, ska, punk, and or rock; go see the Bumpin Uglies. They deliver. I enjoyed that they mixed the set with oldies “Hallucinations”, “Bad Decisions” , and newer tunes “Island Time”, and stuff from the last two albums. The opening band Dale and the Z-Dubs had a valid criticism of Bumpin ending on a cover. Dale and the Z-Dubs however were a little unprofessional in how they brought that up (a fake out “Ironman” riff). Brandon doesn’t need to do the digital vocal effects at the end of his lines. I prefer the music with the digital effects. Brandon is a strong enough singer. He doesn’t need to go all T-pain with the effects. As a whole a powerful concert with some amazing friends and heart-stirring music that’s good for dancing or making babies.
Great Venue great bands…. Ries Bros and Tropidelic blew me away… not sure why but Bumpin Uglies had major audio issues. The Reverb was set so strong it sounded like a constant echo of every word four times. Really took away from the show. Would have been five stars if not for that. Terrible to have your favorite songs ruined.
Never heard of the bands but they put on a heck of a show! The venue was awesome as usual.
great crowd...biggest ever with them...just good times..ISLAND TIME
The whole evening was magical from the beginning. Great night. Great venue. Fantastic music.
One of the best upcoming bands out there! You better start listening to them now!
Bumpin Uglies are the best!! Uglies Nation is strong!
