Excellent venues and wonderful mix of upcoming bands and well known artists. Loved the constellation, the submarines, and of course, Bob Dylan! Forever a day to remember.

    bumbershoot!!! :)

by clgale on 9/9/09Seattle Center - Seattle

Bumbershoot was a lot of fun. It was well organized and easy to get around. There was also a lot to do, and it was a safe environment to enjoy music in. There was sufficient seating and standing room for those who wished to do either. The stage was high up making it easy to see from a standing or sitting point for many people. I really enjoyed it.

    Franti and Mraz were unbelievable!!!

    by SilentQ30 on 9/9/09Seattle Center - Seattle

Despite the fact that the weather brought out seattles true colors this sunday, the bands totally made the wait worth being in the rain all day. The cold war kids, the honey brothers, michael franti and spearhead, and jason mraz were all unforgettable performances! I would recommend bumbershoot to anyone and everyone!

"Bumbershoot" called that for a reason

    by meggie12 on 9/8/09Seattle Center - Seattle

Even though it rained all weekend, Bumbershoot was a worthwhile experience. Great variety in music and comedic tastes, wonderful local color, well-laid out and facilitated! My only annoyance besides the wet weather, was the festival program's organization by venue. Difficult to see who was playing when.

Best fans are the ones not afraid of rain! Headliners were o.k. but local bands were great!

Michael Franti put on an AMAZING show

by MandiW on 9/7/09Seattle Center - Seattle

Bumbershoot was really fun and had a really good setup. There was so much going on all day long. It was definitely a great deal for the tickets especially if you buy tickets in advance. The weather was not very good during the day, but it didnt ruin the day and I was still able to have a great time! The main stage was a good setup with a nice floor area and stadium seating for peope who did not want to to stand. BUMBERSHOOT WAS AWESOME!

    Michael Franti & Spearhead!!!!!

by chicarara on 9/7/09Seattle Center - Seattle

All the performances were great on Sunday. I especially loved Michael Franti & Spearhead. I had not even expected them to be so good but they were by far the best of the night. Jason Mraz was also amazing with his great voice and crowd pleasers.

    Cold War Kids!

    by CWKfan2009 on 9/7/09Seattle Center - Seattle

The Cold War Kids were absolutely sensational! Nathan Willett's voice is even more extraordinary live. I went to Bumbershoot just to see them and I was not disappointed!

    Yeah Yeah Yeahs were brilliant!

by noeyeq on 9/7/09Seattle Center - Seattle

After living in the area for almost 6 years now yesturday was the first time I've been to Bumbershoot. It did not disapoint. It took me this long mostly because of work, but I've always wanted to go. I've heard it to have been historically a place where good live bands come to play. There was rain, there was sun, there were interesting people. I intend to make it an annual ritual from here on out!

    MATT AND KIM WAS AMAZING

by JackTransue on 9/7/09Seattle Center - Seattle

I only went to the first day of bumbershoot, but it was amazing. When I got there Katy Perry was playing, and even though she's not my type of music it was still amazing even if I was the only one in the crowd that was moving. Afterwords Natalie portmans shaved head was there, and they were of course amazing. Then later Matt & Kim played. There are no words to describe their performance. It was just... wow. After the Matt & Kim show I waited in line for 30 minutes to get my gameboy sized synthesizer that I never leave home without. Once I got to the front of the line they were awesome. They were the nicest people I've ever meet and they talked to me about my synthesizer saying "they make these things this small? Why do we carry these big things around?"

    Sheryl Crow Rocked!

by bellyflopper on 9/6/09Seattle Center - Seattle

I had to work Saturday and didn't get to Bumbershoot until about 7:00 PM, but the Sheryl Crow set was well worth the price of a ticket. She played all of my favorites, including "All I Wanna Do" for the first encore number.
