About

BTS in Concert

BTS, an acronym of Bangtan Sonyeondan or "Beyond the Scene", is a South Korean boy band that has been capturing the hearts of millions of fans globally since their debut in June 2013. The members of BTS are RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. Gaining recognition from their authentic, self-produced music and top-notch performances to the way they interact with their fans, the band has established themselves as global superstars breaking countless world records. While imparting a positive influence through activities such as the Love Myself campaign and the UN ‘Speak Yourself' speech, BTS has mobilized millions of fans across the world (named ARMY), topped prominent music charts, sold out worldwide tours including stadiums and has been named as one of TIME 100: The Most Influential People of 2019. The band has also been recognized with numerous prestigious awards like the Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards.

BTS are serious performers with a sense of humor. They're also K-pop chart-toppers who've shattered boundaries across the world. A BTS show includes fantastic costume changes, over-the-top visuals (which often include the crowd), and a mix of rap club bangers, EDM pop, and R&B. The band first toured Japan in 2015 on the Summer Sonic Festival and Wake Up: Open Your Eyes tours. Later that year, they took their brilliance global with The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: On Stage tour. They followed that in 2017 with the Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings tour and 2018's BTS World Tour: Love Yourself. If you're not a member of the BTS Army yet, don't worry — it's just a matter of time.

BTS were formed by Korea's Big Hit Entertainment in 2010, though the lineup wasn't finalized until 2013. They align themselves with teens who are targets of criticism, stereotyping, and expectations, and they established their name with the "school trilogy" EPs in 2013 and 2014. Their first single was "No More Dream." In the fall of 2014, they released their first full album, ‘Dark & Wild,' and by 2015, the group began to make waves internationally: ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2' topped six international charts for four weeks. BTS were the first K-pop act ever to achieve such a feat, and the firsts didn't end there. In 2017, their EP ‘Love Yourself: Her' debuted in the Billboard 200's Top 10, the first K-pop album to do so. They won Top Social Artist at the Billboard Awards in both 2017 and 2018, thanks in part to a record-breaking volume of video views. In 2018, ‘Love Yourself: Tear' was the first foreign-language album to top the Billboard 200 in over 10 years. Then ‘Love Yourself: Answer' did it again, just months later. The K-pop juggernaut is unstoppable: The band has appeared on the cover of ‘Time Magazine,' and won a truckful of awards: Melon Music Awards, Seoul Music Awards, Gaon Chart Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Korean Music Awards, and more.

Wonderfully exciting as only BTS shows can provide

by Alice on 4/12/22Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas

Allegiant Stadium gets major credit for running the process smoothly. There were no clusters nor people rushing trying to get inside. BTS always puts on an energetic show that entertains Army and makes them feel like family.

    AMAZING!!!

by Aidde on 4/12/22Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas

One of the best experience of ny life. The only bad thing I can say is please do not allow anyone to enter with bouquet of flowers. A lot of the BTS member where getting hurt but also your staff. One flower is okay but not a whole bouquet. Please take into consideration the safety of your team and most of all the band members.

    Almost Perfect

by Sonya on 4/12/22Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas

I went D1 and D2 so I will be reviewing overall for both. As far as BTS's performance goes Pros: -Wonderful, energetic, incredible. -Vocals were sharp and clear, and the music audio was at a good level for the stadium. Great choice of old and new tracks. Felt amazing hearing Wings, BST, Dope, and Fire, again. -Charismatic and humble as always, I loved their ments. It felt incredible to see them again for the first time since the pandemic started. -I loved the outfits. - I thought the carts for Wings and Telepathy were a great way for them to get closer to the fans further away and appreciated this added bit. -As always the Army Bomb light show was wonderful. Cons: -Did not dance as much as usual. However, this is understandable as they are all recovering from COVID, Jin from hand surgery, and just generally it's already past human limit to dance as they do. I would rather they dance less and be healthy. -The graphics for the big screens were annoying. They covered up the actual performances. It would've have been much better to do just 4K live coverage as in the past rather than the strange graphics or filters. -I missed having the cool effects like in the Speak Yourself Tour such as JJK flying over the audience, the holographs like in Namjoon's "Trivia: Love," etc. I thought stage wise it could be more involved. They also brought out the universe balloons for Permission to Dance which I thought was a little weird. -From their end I didn't really like how much time they spent singing into the camera (like for Dope) rather than performing out to the crowd. I know this was referenced to their MV and music show performances. But, since the graphics covered much of it anyway, and they were there to perform, I would have rather the camera follow them than they follow the camera. -Soundcheck was only two songs. It started at 4:05 and was over by 4:25. I felt pretty jipped, truthfully. I thought there would be more songs or at least a little longer with them. I think if I go again I will still go for floor seat but I am not going to put myself through suffering for soundcheck. It was so frustrating. The Stadium itself Pros: -I appreciated it being air conditioned and covered. At times I needed my jacket because it was very well air conditioned. I think in the future they need to let people in earlier so they can get out of the heat without having to stand in long lines. -Men's bathrooms were almost always empty. Ladies, if you need the bathroom just go to the men's. It's what Namjoon would have wanted anyway. -Views from the elevated (not floor) sections were great. I thought the rows were adequately spaced so you didn't have to worry about seeing over the person in front of you. Cons: -Soundcheck was a MESS. They said to check in by 2:15, as early as 9:00 am, and part of soundcheck was to give us early access to merch inside the stadium (which they would open the doors to by 2:30 pm). They didn't let us into the actual stadium until 3:45pm, and told us to go right to our seats. By the time people used the bathroom (if they had time to) there was no time to get early access to the merch, which was 50% of the point of having a SC ticket. -Also, by not letting us into the stadium we had to wait outside in the sun, which was the desert sun on a 95 degree day. I personally am on a medication that makes me very sensitive to sun, and while I had a hat and sunscreen it was still extremely difficult and upsetting to have to wait in the heat and sun rather than the air conditioned covered stadium as promised. Many people were vocal about feeling this way. I had an umbrella for shade but it was far too windy to use it. -They had merch booths in the SC area outside the stadium but they were only for gold SC holders, not silver SC. They did not mention this anywhere online and only mentioned it in person. -The water they were selling was $7.50 a bottle. Yep, you read that right. To not allow water into the stadium, and to only have refill stations outside of the stadium, while making us wait in line to enter the stadium for over than an extra hour (more than that for others), and then sell bottles for $7.50, is insanity and should not be allowed. -They only dropped the confetti over the floor sections. In the past it was over the whole stadium/arena. Fans Pros: -Energetic, lovely, great outfits! I loved seeing all of them. Cons: -Not so much the fans fault but I wish the arena would include as part of the etiquette signs to make sure to remind fans to hold their signs, army bombs, and phones only in front of their chests and not above their heads during the performances, as they end up blocking the view of the people behind them. This is really disappointing when you're so excited to be there and your view is blocked 80% of the time by someone holding their bomb/phone/sign up the whole time. ARMY - don't forget to be respectful of other ARMY.

by Carmeo7 on 4/12/22Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas

We attended the first two days of the BTS concert and my experience was wonderful! The management and organization of the venue is much better than sofi. The staff knew what they were doing and able to answer questions. The concert itself is amazing! It’s so energetic and exciting! The stadium is clean and new and the lines for food and drinks and bathrooms were all manageable! Wish BTS will be coming back here again!!!

Amazing show, the buys rocked it!

by Robin on 4/12/22Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas

Lining up in 30 plus Celsius heat and wind was uncomfortable to say the least but BTS is and was worth it. We flew from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to see them so there was little we would not have done. My biggest issue was allowing non-ticket holder in the merchandiser line previous to the concert. I paid a lot of money to get tickets and should have the ability to get the merchandise I want when I am in line prior to opening but can’t because of non ticket holders? Just give holders a fast track?.

    Concert on another level

by Zia on 4/12/22Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas

My floor seats were better today but the boys’ energy never fails. I’ve been to a lot of concerts and this is my first time seeing them and my concert experience with BTS is up in my #1 on my list. So much that I want to see them again and again.
