Excellent venue, parking was free, and they had shuttles to take you to the track. You could take in small coolers. Seats were excellent, and weather was perfect. The event was amazing, fun, and full of all the NHRA thrills. Everyone should experience Bristol!
our experience with ticketmaster was fantastic! got the tickets early and then got a reminder that the event was coming up soon. Bristol is an unbelievable event to see live. watching the NHRA on tv doesn't do it justice compared to seeing, smelling the rubber, smelling the fuel and enjoying the excitement with thousands of fans. going to the pits and meeting the drivers and crews, plus seeing the cars was fantastic.
Everything was beyond expectation. Will return for sure
From the free parking lot, a shuttle service to & from the track, so walking was to a minimum, tunnels underneath the track for easy back & forth, food, drinks & souvenirs, at the bottom & top, by far the best drag racing track I've been to!!!!!!!!
Have been to several other NHRA events, but this is the best one of them all. The Valley holds the thunder and race and events were really organized. Will be back next year.
Even though we were rained out late in the evening ,I loved it ! The best Father's Day present I've ever had.
You cant beat the night race at Thunder Valley, seeing the flames and record setting times is unforgettable!!!
Thunder Valley outdid themselves. Loudest and most fun place in the US!!! You would be a fool to miss an opportunity to attend an NHRA event here!
The feel and power of the top fuel and funny cars was awesome. The pro stock was great too.
We loved the race!! Just wish we had seats in lower row.. We ended up walking around for most of the day..
Took my dad and grandfather for the nationals. We had the great time and the memories of how much my family enjoyed it will truly never be forgotten!
This was my first National NHRA event and it was Awesome! I have been a long time bracket racer and have been a NHRA fan most of my life. I will be attanding more events in the near future. I wished you would come back to Memphis Tn with a National event.
My mom and stepdad took my daughters who are 5 and 7. They loved it. They loved being able to interact with the drivers and they got autographs and magazines and pictures!
It was very hot, lots of tire shake but the track is unforgettable!
What can I say? The NHRA is always awesome!!!!! The racing was great as always.. Very fast & very close racing. I always have a great time at Bristol. Even the food was good.
I've been going to the NHRA Drag Races on and off since the mid-1980's, but this was my first trip to Bristol. What a fabulous facility, and we were especially surprised to find there was a tram to transport us the 1/2 mile (uphill) to the track, after we parked our car. And again after the two qualifying sessions - tram back to our car! This is a first class facility, all the employees and workers were extra polite. As for the Friday evening qualifying, I've been to six or eight national events and there is nothing like seeing the nitro cars going down the track, headers shooting out flames, at night. I highly recommend Drag Racing in general (you get to go in the pits, meet some of the drivers and crew, watch them tear down and rebuild their cars) and Bristol Raceway in particular.
I felt like both rounds of nitro were a big disappointment nobody hardly made good pass,for what ever reason the pros didn't make much of a effort to get down track and put on show for the fans.I would not recommend Saturday event anymore for some one wanting to go.Friday or Sunday but not Saturday no effort.
It was my first time to an event like that and it was a great experience.
Took my eight year old and we had a blast. It was the first time either of us had gone to a NHRA race and it was incredible. The manufacturer's midway and open pits were great. If you've never seen the nitro cars run, then you don't know what you're missing. General admission seats were great and the tickets were a bargain. can't wait for next year.
My godson and I had a great time. We would definitely go back again.
