British metalcore outfit Bring Me the Horizon had its biggest US chart success to date in 2013 with the album Sempiternal, which reached No. 11 on the Billboard 200. The quintet -- guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Mat Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls and keyboardist Jordan Fish -- followed up the album with concerts around the world, including a stint on the Vans Warped Tour and a co-headlining jaunt though the US with Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive, giving fans plenty of chances to pick up tickets to see the rising group. Sempiternal -- produced by Terry Date (Linkin Park, Deftones) -- marked a further evolution of Bring Me the Horizon, which began as a deathcore band but now has a more nuanced, varied, and melodic sound. On stage, the group has a reputation for delivering energetic performances, and has developed into a very tight unit by playing hundreds of concerts over the last decade.
Perfect revolution live will always be my favorite venue !!!
This concert was absolutely amazing. Parkway drive was unable to be at the concert, but it was still a great show. Considering the fact that the venue was extremely small, it was actually a lot of space to have a mosh pit and a great concert. Oliver, both Matt's, Lee and Jona, put together, make the most perfect mix ever. I love this band, I wish they're come back to Canada. ):
First of all, why shouldnt i use my real name? The show was rediculous though. On Broken Wings opened, then Architechts. They were good, theyre just not what I came for. Next was Parkway Drive, which was nuts in itself. Then BMTH.... was gnarly. Just over the top.
The show was down right amazing... from the lighting show, the passion you could tell that the band had for what they did, they crowd interaction, and how the crowd responded to BMTH... Not a single bad thing to say about this concert
Amazing! Yes! Five stars!. I have never seen a band give a show like this one. I attend numerous concerts throughtout the year, but certainly so far, this year, this is the best one I have seen. LiveNation, you have something to learn here. This venue treats metal fans like human beings.
they stopped the show right before bmth to cool the whole place down and gave people water and when they came on we were all ready. they had everyone going crazy the whole time. then someone got hurt and oli decided that while they were waking this kid up he would open up the mic to some stand-up. he also took questions about any random thing and so it felt like we met him which was even cooler. i rated 5 because the show and venue were good. being my first time at the electric factory, i would definitely go back.
i have never been to a more thrilling show in my life. Oli came out into the crowd. i grabbed that man by the hips! holy shit is he sexy and they played so perfect. i cannot think of anything that would have made the show better. Crowd surfing.... check.....moshing....check......wall of death.....check......hardcore dancing.....check check =]
It was my first time seeing Bring me the horizon and they killed it. Parkway drive was incredible too. The music sounded great, the crowd was amped up and fun. It was one of the greatest shows I've been to!
The opening bands sucked and had no melody just random noise parkway drive and bring me the horizon amazingggg
In between endless crow surfs, circle pits, mosh pits and walls of deaths, Bring Me The Horizon really made the crowd go insane at the new Fillmore in Silver Spring! Even i being a girl and not much of a mosher just HAD to throw myself in there, I even fell on my butt, but it was well worth it. The set lit is always amazing, although there are lots of new songs some people might not know, but this is BMTH, they change overtime and honestly to me I think their latest work is their finest. I had never seen a crowd like this is such a small intimate venue. Oli Sykes is amazing and always gets the crowd so pumped up! There were also pyrotechnics going on which made it even better. This was my 4th time seeing the band and the best time of all. I can't wait for the 5th, 6th, ... time ! I even got a chance to meet Oliver Sykes after the show, he is truly a great person and loves his fans. Go see BMTH, they will blow your mind!
It was nothing i could imagine, best show soo far this year!
My son and his friends went to see BMTH and they had the best time, All 5 of them thought the show was amazing. They got to shake hands with the bandmembers, they got to stay extra long after one young man was hurt at the event; the band waited for him to get help, then continued playing. That's dedication. The kids loved it. Buying the tickets was easy and we are pleased with the online ordering system.
Seen BMTH 4 times, this was the BEST show ever, we had a blast.
First two acts were horrible beyond belief. Had no energy and no crowd involvement. The architects and Parkway Drive were the saving grace for this show because they put on a damn good performance and had a solid progression in their sound. One disappointment I had was the headliner, Bring Me the Horizon. I saw them a few years ago and their performance was more natural and gritty. Now all they have is some lame three box light display on stage. The band was purely a shadow and gave the crowd little to no energy. If it wasn't;t for them playing some of their best songs, I doubt anyone would have stayed.
One of the best nights of my life, easily! All the bands were spot on and filled with intense, positive energy! And Oliver Sykes's performance was much better than the last concert I went to!
The was one of the greatest shows I've ever been to.
So good. In my opinion: BMTH>Architects>Deez Nuts>Parkway Drive>On Broken Wings
I have fun with the bands before BMTH, however the people was to high and got really crazy. Some of them were jumping, kicking and punching. I got hit on my head server time. Over all it was ok it would be better if those people could chill the hell of it !!
Very good show, awesome performance by all bands. Security played a good role as well.
Bottom Line: Sound engineers did a horrible job by overwhelming the drums and bass. Guitars and Vocals were fragmented meaning you had to walk around the venue floor to find a happy medium to hear all sounds tastefully and equally. Parkway Drive were great but didn't play their flagship song "wreckage". Bring Me the Horizon were not good live, period. I saw As I Lay Dying in Nokia Center Times Square 2 years ago. Now they made sure their sound engineers or whomever was in charge of sound their live show sounded like their albums. Bottom line, Research the venues because it could be a kick as band but not good seen live. Fillmore,BB King and Nokia are great venues, maybe because they are smaller than Roseland.....Hmmmmm
