Bridgit Mendler is one of the latest in a long string of young actresses to parlay her success as a Disney Channel star into a pop music career. She's best known for playing the character Teddy on the hit Disney series Good Luck Charlie, a role she landed in 2010 after appearing as a recurring character on Wizards of Wavery Place. Some of her first pop music recordings appeared on the soundtrack to the 2011 Disney Channel Original Movie Lemonade Mouth, the soundtrack to which peaked at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 chart. Her first album, Hello My Name Is..., was released in 2012, and she backed it with a tour that included concerts in venues ranging from malls to radio station-sponsored, multi-act Christmas shows in arenas. In 2013, fans snagged tickets to her second major tour, a 20-plus date outing that focused on the fair circuit. As 2013 came to a close, her sophomore album was in the works, and a 2014 release date was planned.
