We had amazing seats and saw a great game! It felt like we were on the ice with the players!
Had never been to the arena for a hockey game before. It was a lot of fun with a good crowd as the Hartford team was the opponent. Home team won with a ton of physical action through out the game. Very family oriented organization with many kid friendly activities available.
My husband and I brought 8 7 yr old boys for my sons bday, they had a blast!! They made signs that they held up, they loved when the sound tigers scored and most of all the fights kept them the most interested!!
Run down arena but game was ok. Food was decent. Easy to get to and organized.
From the ease of parking and bright CLEAN arena to the quality of play, the Sound Tigers game was an awesome place to bring the family. I would highly recomend catching a few games.
Excellent game. Fun environment. Love hockey and this was a fun setting to watch a game.
no problems good seats good game, would recommend service to everybody
My kids became instant fans. Facility and game were great.
I have been an Arena Usher & Ticketaker in NY Arena's for approx 22 yrs and enjoy live Sports in your best seats.. And so I've evaluated Webster Arena and the Sound Tigers and (Although), NOT a big Hockey fan, enjoyed all thing, there, very much. My evaluation is obviously quite different than others, because of my vast arena experience . I'll return for other games and events, Tkyou , Tomas Cignarale, Seymour, Conn.
I decided to take my son to his first professional ice hockey game. I chose the sound tigers because they were close by and didn't want to waste a trip to see the Flyers if he wasn't going to be into it. He really didn't care too much for the game after the first period, but the arena staff and mascot made the evening unforgettable for him. He still talks about how storm kept giving him high-fives, how storm picked him out for a t-shirt, and how he and I searched for storm in the stands all evening long. Whoever is inside that costume is truly a kind soul. The arena also had a balloon artist on staff that night, and my son dragged the balloon dog he got around for the next week. Ice level seats were extremely affordable when compared to the NHL, and while the caliber of play certainly isn't the same, I still got some up close bone jarring hits out of the deal. I will definitely take him again in the future.
For a Long Islander such as myself, the arena was very convenient to get to. We took the ferry from Port Jefferson. The arena is less than a ten minute walk from the pier. The arena was nice and modern. While my daughter was disappointed they didn't have Dipping Dots, the ice cream and ices they did have (Rita's, I believe) were good. As for the hockey itself, we were probably the only people there rooting for the Binghamton Senators. The tickets were well priced and we were seated only three rows behind the Senators bench. We could even smell them! LOL! The game was very exciting. The Sens dominated the first period, but the Sound Tigers fought back and 3rd period ended with a 5-5 tie. The Sens won it with a goal in OT. Would definitely return for a game in the future. Given how few people there were in attendance, it would be nice to see a higher turnout. With NHL games so expensive, the AHL offers a chance for hockey fans to see good hockey games at a decent price.
great game , but there was no one really there kinda sad for players
What a blast. Great quality hockey, great seats, great venue. Everyone who works there is super friendly.
I had perfect seats just to the left of the goal. As an adult hockey player, it was great to see the plays develop. Webster Arena is a great place to watch a game, and most likely, a concert. Two Thumbs Up. If you're an adult, there's a wonderful Irish pub in the arena...and yes, it's an Irish pub!
I will start with what we disliked about the event which were none, we had a blast, the sound tigers played a great game and the fights were wickedly fun we both enjoyed every minute of the game, it was a great rush all and all thanks!
A very enjoyable experience. It was my kids' first sporting event. Very family friendly. Caught a tshirt and the kids had the opportunity to meet the mascot, Storm and get player autographs.
3 periods, plus and OT, can't beat that on a sunday afternoon. thank you once again.
I brought my grandson, age 4, & 3 others to the game. I paid $20 for four bags of pucks that my grandson would be throwing onto the ice after the game. I believe there were five or six pucks per bag. My grandson was able to throw just two pucks in the 30 or 60 seconds they alotted. When he threw a third puck onto the ice, after the horn had sounded, an extremely arrogant employee began screaming at my 4 year old grandson. I believe this employee was some sort of security guard. He didn't say it politely. He actually screamed to stop throwing pucks or he will take them from him. At this point many people started chanting: Let the kid throw the pucks. I took my grandson to the car & I will never return to this arena. I usually go once per year. Either they should cease Chuck-A-Puck or teach their employees how to act.
Game was good, venue was great as always. Peanut lady could come by more often.
