  • Wonderful evening out again at Jimmy's

by Peter R. on 9/3/25Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 5 out of 5

Having dinner and seeing Brian Simpson was our 5th visit I believe at Jimmy's. Food is wonderful and the whole experience makes for a great evening. We both had not heard of Brian Simpson and loved his performance so we hope Jimmy's invites him back because we'll be there!

  • It was ok

by EJ on 3/25/25Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 3 out of 5

This is the second time we've seen Brian Simpson, Joyner and Oliver at the Ludlow Garage. The venue is always great, nice crowd comfortable seating. The show itself though may have been the same selections from last year besides a couple news songs from their new music. Buy Brian Simpson told the same joke he told the year before! So I know I'm not crazy. Just wish they'd have given us something new. Even if it was something previously released.

  • Exceeded expectations

by Windsurfg on 3/25/25Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The Brian Simpson show exceeded our expectations. The addition of Jackiem Joyner (sax) and Steve Oliver (guitar) really provided a lot of variety in the show. It allowed these 3 artists to share the stage and highlight their music with the support of the other members. The energy and range of songs played were very entertaining.

  • Best concert & venue!

by Steve on 12/18/24Humphreys Backstage Live - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

This venue was so cozy, warm, small, and close with some tables & a bar. We were near the back but only about 40/50 feet from Brian. Him & his band were awesome musicians....he & his sax player were really interactive. Brian was really friendly and his music is absolutely awesome!!

Absolutely AWESOME show. All performers were magnificent, especially Brian Simpson. Would pay to see any of them again.

  • Brian Simpson, Pebo, & Kim Waters

by R2013 on 7/14/15Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great, and happy we were able to attend. All the artist were worth the price! Nice soothing music - simply relaxing music. . . Disappointed that I could not secure a table - yet there were empty tables on the night of the performance. (I tried to purchase a table very, very, early and there were none available)????? Just curious, does someone buy ALL the tables and re-sell them?????

  • Awesome Gift for Father's Day!

by SRHyson on 7/14/15Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

We gave tickets to my Father as a gift. They had an awesome time and are ready to go again! Thank you Norman Brown, Peabo Bryson, et al! I look forward to going to the next show with them.

  • Awesome Concert and Venue

by HoneyforLife on 6/11/14Ritz Theatre - JacksonvilleRating: 5 out of 5

What a treat to be front row for Brian Simpson. Watching him play the key board so close and personal. As a bonus he brought with him Elan Trotman. That man can blow a horn. I was very surprised with the venue. I found it to be a great place for these concerts and look forward to going back to the rest of the series. The museum attached has some very powerful art and some exhibits that surely provide solemn reminders of history.
