Awesome show but the vibe was hampered a bit because either the booking agent or the venue held the show too early. Show ended at 9:30pm! The Royale is a great venue but they clearly were "double dipping" here so they could hold their regularly scheduled Saturday night party later.

The band is one of the coolest I've seen. Awesome music, awesome attitude. They let us jump onto the stage and dance with them :O. Oh man, it was the best show ever. The music, the ambiance, it was all perfect. I will never forget this.

    Brazilian Girls were awesome

We treated my friend to this show for his birthday. We thought it was going to sell out, but when we got there, the place was empty. The show was awesome though! Everyone got on stage at one point in the show, which was hilarious. The band was great. Definitely a good time!

The band was great. They're really special, the singer is unforgettable. They were inspired by the cheers for an encore and really got the crowd going. They invited everyone on stage to dance, then danced with the audience on the floor. Very cool and engaging. My only complaints were the visible tension between the band and the production staff. The singer was constantly motioning to turn the lights down. The front of house sound was pretty horrendously mixed. Massive line arrays for a small crowd was definitely overkill, but those boxes sound fine at lower volumes. It was so completely unnecessarily loud the it destroyed any dynamics and nuance to the performance. The synths should have been compressed/limited way harder, occasionally the player would switch to patches that were utterly deafening. The vocals were never clear enough. The monitor engineer did great though, I don't think the band ever asked for monitor mix changes, and he was attentive to their needs, running out to deal with things, and even helped audience members get on the stage. Overall, still a great show, the band rocks, they connected big time with the audience. I'd see them again for sure.
