BRANDY IN CONCERT:
Brandy made a triumphant return to the stage in 2013, reminding the R&B world exactly what pure vocal perfection sounds like. From the strength of her range to the maturity of her act, Brandy brings a renewed vigor to her dulcet tones — much to the delight of her stalwart fans. She'll continue the comeback on tour in 2014, including an appearance at the annual Tobago Jazz Experience Festival with John Legend and Earth, Wind & Fire.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
“Brandy was absolutely AMAZING! She is the best R&B singer and kills it every time! Her voice has grown so much and she sounds better and better every time I see her!”
“Brandy put on a great show! She is a consummate performer who infuses humor and nostalgia in her powerful set. The dancers were on point and her delivery was clear and delightful. It is evident that she has been at this for a long time as she is the very definition of a professional.”
“Backed up by a live band and hot dancers, Brandy sounded powerful singing some of her biggest hits as well as new songs. We stood up from the beginning and never sat down because she got the crowd moving.”
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
During the '90s and 2000s, Brandy was undoubtedly one of the biggest names in showbiz. Following apperances in Moesha, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and a Walt Disney television production of Cinderella, she released a string of hit albums which yielded such chart-topping singles as “I Wanna Be Down,” “Baby,” and the wildly successful duet“ The Boy is Mine” with fellow R&B-pop star Monica. Brandy has also served as artistic inspiration for a host of other notable singers such as Jessie J., Erykah Badu, Kelly Rowland and Rihanna, among others.
A little disappointed she didn't perform the Boy is mine with Monica
one of the best performances Ive seen in a long time. She put on an amazing show and I would definitely go see her again.
Brandy WOW'D the crowd with her vocals, dance skills, and energy. This is the first time I had a chance to see Brandy in concert and she exceeded all my expectations and more. She was definitely a Crowd favorite!
The concert was absolutely AMAZING!!! Everyone looked and sounded the same only their voices and talent has matured. Too bad Keyshia Cole and or Keke Wyatt or Shanice, or Debrah Cox couldn’t have been added to the mix... that would have definitely been my child hood!!! I only wish Brandy and Monica could have done the Boy is Mine and It All Belongs to Me... that was the biggest let down of the evening, I literally cried because the should have done it. Other than that thank you ladies for gracing us with your talents!!!
Brandy was on point, energetic and very entertaining. I really enjoyed her performance.
My group came from Texas to see this show. Incredible experience once we were able to get in the venue! But getting inside was a trek. We used a ride-share from Walnut Creek then walked from the base of the location to the entry like many others locked in traffic. To minimize frustration in the future, I recommend more communication about traffic prior to the show (especially for nearly sold-out ones) and better signage outside and around the venue to help showgoers know where and how much further they are supposed to be going. Also, maybe some staff to help guide and encourage patrons along the way. Essentially, you should give yourself about two hours between leaving the house and getting settled into your seat if you are attending a show here. Leave early! Also, we left before the show ended in an effort to dodge the post-show congestion, so I can’t speak to that. But I assume it was madness.
The venue itself is fine. Impressed that the lines for the women's restrooms were clean and the lines kept moving. As for the performance...I was there to see Brandy but was disappointed that Brandy and Monica did not perform their "The Boy is Mine" hit song.
The ladies all sound and look the same. The show was great. Not giving it five stars because Monica nad Brandy didn't perform the Boy is mine. Which disappointed everyone. I wish they would get past their beef.
Brandy was amazing, don’t get me wrong and so was the only other two artists I made it to see, Mya and Monica. But my overall experience at Concord pavilion was terrible! I missed the first 3 artists because they would not let people in when I got there around 8. The concert started at 7, what was the reason for holding people back? There was a lot, I mean a lot of people trying to get in. This is my 3rd time at this event center and probably the last.
Parking was ridiculous it took 2 hours just to park and get through SECURITY which was even more of a mess. They had barricades to block anyone from entering & would allow maybe 20 at a time? This is a concert venue and that was unacceptable. Missed 4 acts by the time we got in. I’d appreciate my money back!
Brandy was fire. Great concert, the sound worked great, seating was great, nice venue, and friendly staff. My only issue is, there needs to be improvement with getting people into the pavilion. The lines where long and unnecessarily long.
Love seeing all the ladies together. But Was disappointed in Brandy’s performance. Looks like she rolled out of bed and was lip singing. Also didn’t perform boy is mine with Monica. Could have been great but missed the mark on that one.
The concert was great! Performers were amazing. Brandy and Mya really give you an awesome show. Eveey still has beaufitufk voices, but the Concord Pavillion was veey unorganized and due to their lack of staff and ability to orchestrate traffic i was an hour late to the show.
I have been to a lot of concerts in my days but this one by far was the best. I love how you can now rent lawn chairs at the concert. The crowd was cool and I love the vibe.
Loved the show. It was great from start to finish although Brandy and Monica (again) did not come together to sing their songs. It’s a disservice to music to have two beautiful and powerful voices not put aside their differences to make some great music together. Other than that and Amerie’s outfit and set choice you could tell everyone genuinely had a great time. Lil Mo as usual opened and got us all hyped up and ready. Keri Hilson represented very well. This was my first time seeing her perform and she did her thing. Mya was also very good she’s another one that’s still got it after being in the business so long. I love going to concerts like these because I get to hear some real music that takes me back to the 90s
Overall, enjoyed some of the artist more than others. Missed opening act, though was in the line to try to park for a very long time. Seemed like parking attendants coordination was poor. Thankfully, AAA allowed for a quicker entry. Those who didn't have it, I'm sure were in a horribly long line. Once inside, the lawn chairs were all gone, though the ticket purchase said a lawn chair was included with my ticket. Not sure how you all ran out but I got word some people were getting more than one chair at a time. When addressing two reps of Live Nation, both redirected and had no solutions on how to address. One guy said he was the manager over the concession and the other said he was over security and that I could walk way to the other side of the venue to give my complaint to see what they could do. Some of my party said the restrooms were horrible and not maintained throughout the concert. They couldn't use. We made the best of the event but those logistical things lowered my overall rating.
Everyone gave an great performance! Brandy and Mya were my favorites. Can’t wait to see them again.
Parking was horrible. It took 40 minutes just to get in to park. It took another 40 minutes just to get a drink. This caused me to miss 4 performances. Brand and Monica was awesome.
I loved the concert. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, the seating is way too close together. I had a woman next to me who was spilling on to my chair making my $180.00 seat super uncomfortable. I wish they could get a better seating arrangement. That was my only negative experience.
Drove up parking was a easy..went in to gate to come in lines moving quick....seats was great... show started on time...the weather was beautiful...this show did not disappoint...THIS SHOW WAS EVERYTHING!
