About

Forming in 2000 on Long Island, New York, Brand New is an alternative-punk band consisting of Jesse Lacey on vocals and guitars, Vincent Accardi on guitars and vocals, Garrett Tierney on bass, and Brian Lane on drums. They signed to Triple Crown Records and released their debut album Your Favorite Weapon in 2001, full of emotional angst and ex-girlfriend tales, before touring with the emo Dashboard Confessional, post-hardcore acts Finch and Glassjaw, alt-rock Midtown, and pop-punk bands New Found Glory and Taking Back Sunday. Their sophomore album Deja Entendu came out in 2003, featuring the singles “The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows” and “Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades”, and a matured sound that became a certified gold album in the US. Derrick Sherman joined the band on guitars and keys in 2005, and the band signed with Interscope Records to release their third album The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me in 2006. Its hit Jesus became their highest charting single in the United States. In 2009, they put out their fourth album Daisy, their most successful effort to date, reaching number six on the Billboard 200. They are currently working on their fifth studio album, and will play concerts in December 2013 on the east and west coasts where they will perform two albums in their entirety for ticket holders each night.

  • 3 straight hours& not a single backing track used.

by Morgan on 8/14/25Rating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I saw them back in June and let me tell you, we're still talking about it. This band played for 3 hours straight and didn't use a single backing track. The crowd was on fire. The sound was authentic. In 3 hours there were still songs left I wanted to hear. I really appreciated the use of session musicians for fill tracks rather than paying to watch a prerecorded voice over, and toward the end you could really tell how appreciative the band was for all the support. Would go again, would highly recommend.

  • Brand New

by Shelby on 7/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Ive waited so long for this. I would have paid any amount of money and nothing short of death was stopping me from getting to this show, not even the threats of flash flooding and terrible weather we had in Philly. Through it all, Brand New put on a great show and sounded better than ever. I’ll be putting my tin foil hat back on and hoping for a new album.

Jesse and Vin stole the show and made all these old songs feel alive as the friday they were dropped into existence. Heard some new songs in the works on YouTube so hopefully they make a new album and tour again. Will 100000000 percent be attending❤️ thank you Brand New!!!!!

  • Horrible

by Joe on 7/5/25UBS Arena - Belmont ParkRating: 2 out of 5

Came for the nostalgia and to hear the songs I grew up on and got a bunch of new songs nobody cared about. After 15 minutes the crowd was dead. After 45 minutes people started leaving. Never again, childhood ruined.

  • The best

by Daniela on 7/5/25UBS Arena - Belmont ParkRating: 5 out of 5

  • Better, but Still Disappointing

by BB on 7/5/25UBS Arena - Belmont ParkRating: 3 out of 5

As a band, they sounded awesome. This is a complete 180 from the last time I saw them in 2014, when I swore I would never see them again. They came out swinging to an energetic hometown crowd. After the first handful of songs, snoozefest. Musically they were great, but they let their egos get in the way of what could’ve been legendary. They have so many hit songs but instead, decide to play what THEY wanted to play and not what the crowd wanted to hear. Venue was awesome, transportation to and from was easy, but the main part, the show, was 50 out of 100.
