It was such an amazing experience to be able to see my favorite band all these years later!
BOYS LIKE GIRLS sounded great and I was really impressed with their sound so many years after they rose to fame. My only complaint was that the some of the breaks between songs seemed unnecessarily long and they started to lose my attention at points. It seemed like Martin was fighting a cold, so I'm still giving 4 stars because maybe the breaks were made longer for him to grab some water and give his voice a couple minutes rest. Overall, I'd see them again. State Champs opened for them and are always top tier.
Boys Like Girls may not be the biggest band in the world, but if they’re music means something to you, then you owe it to yourself to go see them live. Their performance was top notch, the memories that can come back from hearing the songs you probably heard 15 or so years ago is something else. Their new music was also great, modern sounding music with a Boys Like Girls twist on it.
I fully believe that this concert was one of the best I’ve ever been to. I’ve never been to a concert where the artist asked us to put our phones away so that we could fully enjoy the moment, it was incredible. They sounded just as good as on their records and had so much enthusiasm. You can tell they really love what they do and they love their fans dearly. I’m definitely going to see them again. It was my childhood dream to see Boys Like Girls live. That concert was something that I will remember for the rest of my life.
I have been waiting for over a decade to see this band and they did not disappoint. They put on a phenomenal show and kept the audience engaged throughout the whole concert. They performed for about 1.5 hours and there was very little empty space throughout their set. The whole concert in total was over 5 hours and all groups that performed were incredible. I will absolutely be seeing them again when they tour again.
I loved Lolo, The Summer Set & State Champs. BLG are probably just out of practice. I didn’t feel as connected to them and thought they were a bit cringey. The venue was nice but everything was so over priced. We actually left early, 45 minutes into the headliner because it was giving ick.
Combining good music from your early 20s, memories of Warped Tour and an amazing new venue made for a great night. BLG still has it, and I hope they follow through with their promise of coming back to Toronto/Canada again soon because I can easily say it was a great show and a great time. I would also like to note as a hearing impaired human, History has some of the best acoustics out there. It’s hard finding venues that create a great ambiance and sound. I appreciate that I could sing along AND hear what they were saying, vs. singing along because I knew the words.
The long wait is finally over and it was incredible. They optimized their set list time and kept talking to a minimum. One of my favorite concerts ever.
It was not advertised that there were three additional bands performing with BLG. This was a late evening concert. Those three bands did at least six to eight songs each. There was a long delay before BLG started their performance as the final act. With having to go to work the next day, myself and alot of other people there left. I only got to hear 3-4 songs. I was extremely disappointed and expecting to have a night of listening to BLG music, but what i got was more of the other bands music and limited BLG. Maybe there should have been only one or two opening acts, just a thought.
This show was FANTASTIC! The opening acts killed and Boys Like Girls was better than I could have imagined! Would 100% see them again.
They're back like they never left! Years later and they haven't skipped a beat, it not even better than I last saw them 10+ years ago. Was definitely something special seeing them back at it again!
Opening act Michigan's own EVERY AVENUE sure pumped the crowd up, and the other performers followed suit. Each brought their unique energy and drive, and the crowd was totally having it! The Fillmore is the total venue package, great location in the D, vintage charm, amazing sound, clean, well organized, ADA section, nice bar, good staff and security. The crowd was having a good time, there were no issues, just fun. They were loud and proud, and off the charts when BOYS LIKE GIRLS took the stage. Fans won't forget this night, will continue to follow their faves, and will want to return to the Fillmore to see others perform.
You could not hear the vocals. Whoever did sound check did horrible!
Boys Like Girls / STATE CHAMPS / The Summer Set / Every Avenue How can you beat a line up like that! They did not disappoint. Mezzanine seats were the perfect seats! Perfect view!
Spectacular show! Every single band brought amazing energy and talent. Boys Like Girls KILLED it, but Every Avenue, Lolo, State Champs, and the Summer Set were also outstanding! Everyone had an amazing time screaming the lyrics, dancing in the aisles…..10/10 experience.
Boys Like Girls was ABSOLUTELY amazing… however. There was 4 opening acts which was not needed. The sound check was terrible, I was upper balcony, could barely hear a word some of the bands were even saying. The show wasn’t even over yet and the parking was expiring even though it said 2 hours after the show ends I have till.. so we left early because it was 4 hours of opening acts. I would have loved to hear more of Boys Like Girls themselves as I love them! But overall it was a “meh” experience.
This was an incredible show and overall experience. From the venue to the band everything was great! I would attend another BLG show is a heartbeat!
I typically avoid shows at HOB Cleveland but couldn’t miss this show. We were packed in like sardines and unless you got there hours before the door opened or paid for VIP, it was very difficult to see the stage. The sound in the venue is muffled and hard to understand.
The line up was amazing at House of Blues. Tickets stated doors open at 5:30 and show started at 6:30. We got there at 6pm disappointed to find that they started the show early and I missed the first band, which subsequently was the band I wanted to see most - maybe next time Every Avenue. Rest of the show was great.
