Boston Bruins History
Established in 1924, the Boston Bruins were the first American team to join the NHL(Opens in new tab). They won their first of six Stanley Cup championships in just their fifth season in 1929, defeating the defending champions New York Rangers. It was the first Stanley Cup championship to feature two U.S. teams. The Bruins added championships in 1939 and 1941, and between 1943 and 1958 they reached the final five more times.
After the arrival of future Hall of Famers Bobby Orr (a three-time MVP) and Phil Esposito (one of the greatest goal-scorers of all time and the first player to score 100 points in a season), the Bruins won Stanley Cup Championships in 1970 and 1972. The image of Orr flying through the air after scoring "The Goal" in overtime to defeat the St. Louis Blues in 1970 is one of the most memorable in hockey history.
On April 9, 2023, the Bruins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-3, marking their 63rd win of the season and setting a new NHL record for the most single-season wins. They made history again on April 12 when they reached 133 points scored in a single season thanks to a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals, besting the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens for the NHL team with the most points scored in a single season.
Twenty-nine straight appearances in the Playoffs followed — a record among all professional sports — including Stanley Cup Final appearances in 1974, 1977–1978, 1988, and 1990.
After a two-decade absence, the Bruins returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2011, defeating the Vancouver Canucks in a thrilling seven-game series behind the goaltending of Tim Thomas. To date, the Bruins have made 20 appearances in the Stanley Cup Final, including most recently in 2019. Legendary players who have worn the Bruins’ jersey include Hall of Famers Cecil "Tiny" Thompson, Eddie Shore, and Aubrey "Dit" Clapper.

My first time in the Bruins game, amazing experience with my 6 years old daughter she enjoined a lot
Great seats as always! Love us some Bruins! Second home.
This was my first NFL game. Best way to spend a birthday! The view was better than I expected and the game went to shoot outs
It is hard to believe a 60min game takes 3hrs to finish but that's TV for you with the ad breaks etc. A great sport spoiled by commercialism. So it was a long, cold and uncomfortable viewing of the Bruins. I do not drink but my wife fancied a beer during the game, as you do. NO where, and I mean no where, while on holiday in Boston were either of us asked for ID to buy a beer. But they do in the TD Garden. Having only with us our UK driving license we were refused a beer. Mentioned for refusal was that it was an out-of-state driving license but happy to give us one with our passports, but who on holiday (vacation) goes out with their passport. And how did the New Yorkers there for the game get a beer with their out-of-state license? I'm 50 and my wife 49, I'm sure no one would mistake us for someone under 21. Yet again common sense fails to prevail. It should be "if in doubt get the ID out"
My son got fan of game and was up on the jumbotron multiple times on his birthday. Pretty memorable evening for him!
Great seats! Had tickets in the family section. Love the Bruins!
Game 7's are extraordinary. Had to be there. Atmosphere was electric until Canadiens scored early in the first period. Thought momentum was shifting but too many penalties some of which were questionable. In the end my team did not play well enough to win. My wife was happy!
It was great. to see the Bruins lose a Game 7 at home to the Montreal Canadiens after holding a 3-2 series lead. The Bruins had the best record in the NHL this year but can't beat Montreal, and especially couldn't win with any class. The Bruins are just a bunch of thugs who are sore losers.
Boston 4, Detroit 1. Series tied at one game apiece.
great game bruins came back to win and the garden was really loud
The game and experience was awesome!! It was my birthday and it was unforgettable! Best birthday ever!!
Great event and venue. Anywhere is a great seat! Atmosphere was unforgettable!
had to sell the tix for a loss the 1230 start time was awful, I paid 444 and sold for 1/2 that thanks alot.
An amazing game amazing city. It was an unforgettable day spent with the family
What an amazing come back by Boston! The Garden was electric in those last 9 minutes! Go see a game if you can!
Most entertaining thing I've ever seen. The Bruins were awesome.
Great Game - Lots of Fun. The Bruins made an awesome comeback in the third period. Wish they had won but had a great time anyway.
Great Game. TD Bank Garden is a tremendous facility.
It was my first time I went to see Bruins to the TD Garden and I really enjoyed it! Even though there was a lot of people, I didn't wait too long in the queues. Also, the atmosphere in the stadium was amazing... And the Bruins won!!!
Excellent game to be at...a Bruins win at home clinching the series...what could be better......a repeat performance against the Canadians !
