Bomba Estéreo on Tour

Bogota-based Bomba Estéreo is bringing the beach to cities across the world with the Deja World Tour 2022. The group has been dropping club-ready beats featuring their signature electro-tropical sound since 2006. Bomba Estéreo is ready to electrify audiences in 2022 on the Deja World Tour with their refreshing mix of electronic, reggae, pop, and Colombian folk and dance music. Fans who want to sweat it out to a unique blend of psychedelic cumbia, vallenato and champeta will also get a dose of Bomba Estéreo's eco-activism, with many tracks from Deja focusing on the collective healing of humanity and the Earth. The album's first track begins with a chant of "agua, tierra, aire, fuego," setting the mood for an energized dance party that celebrates the group's love of our planet's natural beauty. Fans who love breezy beats and hot dance floors won't want to miss the chance to grab tickets to the Deja World Tour 2022.

Bomba Estéreo Live in Concert

Bogotá native Simón Mejía formed Bomba Estéreo as a solo project featuring a loose collective of musicians who shared a love of salsa, cumbia, electronic beats, and dance music. Realizing they had formed something spectacular, the group formalized their relationship in 2005 and adopted the name Bomba Estéreo, or Stereo Bomb in English. The band released their first album in 2006, titled Vol. 1. It was on this album that singer and rapper Liliana "Li" Saumet contributed her first tracks and became a permanent member. In 2008, the group released Estalla, titled Blow Up in the U.S. And blow up they did, because in 2010, Bomba Estéreo was voted Best New Band in the World by "The MTV Iggy Show" and subsequently toured internationally, playing SXSW, Bumbershoot and Bonnaroo. The album Elegancia Tropical followed in 2012 and was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. In 2015, the group released Amanecer, featuring the hit track "Fiesta." The album was certified gold, nominated for two Latin Grammys and served as a big break into mainstream pop culture with the track "Soy Yo" featured in Pitch Perfect 3. Amanecer also placed 50th in Rolling Stone's list of the 50 best albums of 2015. In 2017, Bomba Estéreo released Ayo, earning another Grammy nomination. After touring and working on collaborations like 2019's "Playa Grande" with Sofi Tukker, the group retreated to the Caribbean coast of Santa Marta to rest and record. Surrounded by the ocean, high winds, tropical birds, and the sounds of the jungle, Bomba Estéreo were inspired to create yet another impressive dance album, 2021's Deja. The immersive sounds of the local wildlife and jungle were left in the mix to lend a tropical ambiance to the album, which earned the group another Grammy nomination for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album.

Bomba stereo is as fun as it gets. The place was also very good although their people were having trouble putting the sound system together. It took them at least an hour after the first band finished.

    Awesome

Despite a smaller crowd than expected, the band played as if to a full amphitheater, and with enough energy to blow the place up.
