Bob Shneider is awesome! The members of the orchestra and guest groups he had perform with him were incredible musicians. But somehow it was not understood that this was a Christmas concert. I was expecting the Bob Shneider I listen to on Spotify, but this concert was almost entirely songs from his 2009 obscure jazzy Christmas album. Even though the Christmas stuff was good. It was mostly slow, and the highlights were definitely the 2 or 3 popular songs that he played. It would have been nice to know this.
Great, fun venue. Nice bars and art on every level. It's just missing food options. Now, Taco Deli is there sometimes, but only if sold out. Again, great spot.
Had a great time! I love Bob Schneider and he did not disappoint - great musicianship and so much fun. Great rapport with the crowd. Love Blueberry Hill - such a great, intimate venue. But why do people come to a concert and then spend the whole time talking? And talking so loud that they are heard over the music? So disappointed that the performers would leave with a bad taste in their mouth due to the rudeness of some of the members of the crowd. Is there no way to police this?
Was pleasantly surprised that I got to hear Bob Schneider with his entire band. They are very talented, looked like they were enjoying themselves, and afterward, he was personal and greeted fans. They played a range of songs - loved it! He also had a duo first act who were very good as well. It was an awesome evening and a great venue. (Only negative would be that other concert goers would be quiet while they perform.)
As a long time Schneider fan and concert goer, the concert I loved the concert. Truly a great songwriter and artist. Bob performed the songs I love and sounded great. I saw the baby grand on-stage and thought possibly some songs, like "I Can't Change Your Mind", might be performed at the piano, but all songs were accompanied by his guitar. This concert wasn't as high energy without a full band backing him up. I saw him in DC a couple of years ago with a full band and it was amazing "A+" concert!
Bob Schneider is one of the most solid musicians. A deep vault of great music, with always something new or improvised. He has the ability to change styles of music to reach each person in the audience.
It's not easy to motivate on a Wed. night. I'm not a college kid, and live in the suburbs, so it takes extra effort to go to a show on a weeknight. This show was worth the effort, and definitely worth the price of the ticket and then some. I've wanted to see Bob Schneider for a few years now, and realized that if I didn't make the effort to see him at this small venue, I may not have the opportunity. He's not from around here (he's from Texas), so to catch him locally at a small venue was an opportunity I couldn't let pass. So worth it. Horns, accordion and kick drums. Fun show. Good crowd.
I've seen Bob a bunch in Texas and he is better than ever. His new music is incredible and as always he is amazing on stage. So glad he made the trek to the Northeast because he and his musicians gave one of the best performances I've seen.
My wife and I saw Bob for my birthday. He and his band put on great show, and was on stage for almost two hours. I loved how he mixes it up with different instruments and has so many musical styles. His dialog between songs was a different story. He was quite crude, which wasn't the problem as I'm no prude. However, the things his says are just bizarre and really detract from his overall performance. My wife almost thought that he was drunk.
I enjoyed seeing him live! Great show, great crowd, great venue!
If you are a Bob Schneider fan, you know he could never let us down. Was so happy he came to Boston. He was Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!! Can't wait for the next time!
I will seek out seeing Bob Schneider anytime he comes to the DMV. having lived close to Austin, I became "obsessed" with the music. I would love to see him at ANTONS-on his own turf with an Austin crowd. The DC crowd was a bit boring. I do like the Birchmere. There is never a bad seat, and the food is good....Loved the show.
Bob Schneider never disappoints whenever he returns to Boston; whether an acoustic set for charity or his band at the Brighton Music Hall this past Sat., Oct. 11, Bob Schneider and his die hard fan base were treated to Bob's best. And thank you Bob for bringing along some serious talent with your band. Incredible show - Bob played a long set of great songs - he's his own Greatest Hits - no matter what he plays - and had fun with the audience. Can't wait to see him again!
Never disappointing! If you ever get the chance to see him - you MUST go!!!
The show is consistent with all his shows, great! In my mind the band can't play long enough....That was my only complaint. I wish they just played more. The band was tight, but sounded nice and loose. Bob sounded great, new tunes, old tunes, dirty jokes and expectations met! If you don't know him, get too. One of the best singer song writer / rock / funk / alt- country artist of all time. All in all a great time....and the beer was cold too!
My wife and I had an awesome time at Bob's concert. He played all of his great songs...Super time.
Awesome! Bob always puts on a great show and is an absolute master entertainer. The intimate size of the venue made it even better!
The concert was great! Enjoyed the whole band, great variety, loved the horns.
The concert was great. Both opening acts were enjoyable. Bob put on an amazing show.
