Like old times, but with older people

by nickAnameO on 9/15/13Town Hall - New York

Everyone did stand-up kinds of things, there were self-aware sketches and call-backs, and Bob and David answered questions at the end. If you liked Mr. Show, this is definitely worth checking out, if you can. A lot of fun, and it's cool to see them together again.

    Must see!!!

by Seanessy on 9/15/13Town Hall - New York

If you were a fan of Mr. Show this is a must see. Both Bob and Dave were hilarious. The show included sketch comedy and each person did around 15 minutes of standup. At the end they did a bit of Q & A. They even revisited some old bits.

Show was amazing. Anyone who was a fan of Mr Show will have a great time. All new skits and stand up - but done totally in the style of classic Mr Show - a must see for any fan of Bob and David

    HEY EVERYBODY---

by tombie1982 on 9/15/13Town Hall - New York

Bob, David and Posehn are STILL on top of their game! Right inside the door, vendors were selling SIGNED copies of their book, "HOLLYWOOD SAID NO!" for $18.50! That's price of book: $17.00 + $1.50 for three signatures?! Not too shabby, folks! We didn't get to meet them but, that isn't a bad price at all. There were two other young unknown actor/ress playing random parts which was cool too see. Three veterans giving 2 youngsters a spot. All in all a very cool show for Mr. Show fans, Breaking Bad fans, Posehn fans. If you are an "Alvin and the Chipmunks" "live" action movie fan---well, this isn't for you. You're confused. They swear. For only doing 6 venues and, this being the first venue (but 2nd show), they really had it packed with all sorts of surprises and, never missed a beat. The venue itself was kind of small so, no matter where you are in the place, you could easily see and hear without an issue. (unless there's a lanky dude in front of you, you should be fine.) I'm not gonna spoil anything more so, I'm just going to say, "IT WAS JAWESOME!" put away my little keyboard and read from the book with my wife. *prosit* p.s. "Jawesome" is "Jaw droppingly awesome", tm.

    Good but not great

by Psysci on 9/15/13Town Hall - New York

This show definitely lost something. They are three really funny guys but the material wasn't so great. Bob is always on point and Posehn's stand up was excellent. The show started off great but got a little boring in the middle. It was great to see them together but the show needs work to get it back to what it was on HBO.

    Best night of my life

by CarolAnne7777777 on 9/15/13Town Hall - New York

After being a fan of all three guys for so long, getting to see them live together was a dream come true. I can honestly say it was the best night of my life.

Definitely for "Mr Show" fans! A bit haphazardly organized, but good bits.

    Mr Show in the flesh!

by TalkingJunky on 9/15/13Town Hall - New York

****Spoiler Alert**** I will discuss specific bits, so skip this if you're going to see the show and want a surprise. It was wonderful to see Bob and David together in the flesh after all these years. It was their first show and I actually enjoyed watching them work around some of the minor snags that occurred. I was expecting more sketch bits and was surprised at the amount of stand-up material. That said, Posehn's stand-up set was fantastic. David Cross seemed a bit nervous perhaps during his set? Nervous might be the wrong word since he such a veteran on stage but he didn't quite have his flow together. The Founding Fathers sketch is exactly what you hope for from this crew, taking a risk to bring the funny. I am a Mr. Show obsessed fan so just seeing them together on stage made me giddy. I traveled from DC to see the show and was not disappointed.

    For Mr. Show Fans Only

by geoffreytz on 9/15/13Town Hall - New York

Love the guys.....each did a little standup, but the sketches were amazingly uneven and sloppy.
