About

When Dad feels like a little bit of Sunday afternoon time out, Bluey and Bingo have other plans! Join them as they pull out all of the games and cleverness at their disposal to get Dad off that bean bag. BLUEY'S BIG PLAY is a brand-new theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children's television series, with an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, and new music by Bluey composer, Joff Bush. Join the Heelers in their first live theatre show made just for you, featuring brilliantly created puppets, this is Bluey as you've never seen it before, brought to real life. BLUEY'S BIG PLAY is presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay in association with Windmill Theatre Co.

Bluey's Big Play is friendly for all ages so the whole family can enjoy! Please note that, after the performance, audience members will be invited to participate in games of "keepy uppy" - one where several air filled balls (made of materials which do not include BPA, Latex or PVC) are released into the audience, and another with bubbles (made of non-stain solution). As with many children's games, playing "keepy uppy" may at times become boisterous and unpredictable. If you do not wish to participate in these games, we recommend you leave the theatre after curtain call.

    Bluey

by Jmbg on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Good but could have been longer. Also, when they tossed the balls out at the end many kids were crying because they couldn’t get a chance to play. They should have gotten some up to the balcony and they could have asked the adults to let the kids play.

    Very entertaining

by Linds on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The show was very entertaining for both kids and adults. It was full of fun and laughs. The only disappointment was how short it was. Was expecting it to be longer than 40 minutes.

    Cute for kids!

by LC on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

Bluey’s Big Play was perfect for our *almost* 3 year old and I can imagine it would be fun for older kids too. Our gal was so excited and mesmerized. The storyline was ok…nothing to write home about as an adult; however, the fact that she loved it made th experience worth the price.

    Cool Show

by MUM of 1 on 5/7/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

My 2 year old really enjoyed the show. My only geesh moment was at the meet and greet I would have love for the entire family to be out there to take pictures. I get it, it’s the Bluey show…nonetheless we had a great time!

    Fantastically Done

by Great Auntie on 5/6/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I took My 3 Year Great Niece to See Bluey. It held her attention the entire time! The performance was fantastic. The Crew did a Great Job! I only have one complaint; the show was only 40 minutes long. Way too short! Drive downtown, pay for parking and tickets. I do not feel I got my money's worth.

    OVER CHARGED

by NuNu on 5/6/24Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

The cost of tickets did not accommodate or equate to what was delivered with this unexpected puppet show and the high cost was extremely misleading. I assumed as a parent there would be a full costume wardrobe worn by performers with this live show, however it was simply a bunch of visible humans using control devices such as rods and strings to move these puppet like characters around the stage…VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Would not recommend this show especially at the venue prices EVER!
