Beyond all expectations and they were high to begin with! Finding out Exene and John from X were on this date was an amazing surprise, which only was added to, post show, when Exene was kind enough to let me (well i probably barged in looking back) interrupt a session at a slot machine and sign the Blondie tour poster for us. There is Youtube evidence capturing the solid, really inspired sets all the bands put on this night. As always The Pearl was a great venue, and I must be getting old to say I didn't mind having a seat in what could have been the pit area for this show. Great sound and lighting , I have to say the video screens could have been black all night as far as i was concerned, way too much going on onstage, but they look great on Youtube :) Exene and John played a great if a song or 2 too short of a set before heading back to the 18th floor, (if you were there you will know)to enjoy the view. Garbage isn't going to please everyone with this set list, but will keep you standing, jazz hands flying,( thanks neighbor), throughout, the boys killing it and Shirley stalking and circling the stage like the old days, with an interesting wardrobe choice(s) this outing!!
