Blondie & Garbage Rocked Despite the Heat

by Sparyn on 7/23/17Stir Concert Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel - Council Bluffs

It was hot, but that didn't stop the music. Garbage was phenomenal as always, in fact, I thought they were the best. Though Blondie was fun, and Debbie Harry sounded better than I expected, Garbage was great. It was a nice way to muddle through the hot night. I wasn't disappointed. The fans were active and still danced and we had a lot of fun.

    Blondie + Garbage = AMAZING

by Rockbird86 on 7/22/17Stir Concert Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel - Council Bluffs

I'm a big fan of both bands and when I found out they were touring together I couldn't buy tickets fast enough! This show was my third time seeing Blondie live and my first for Garbage. Blondie always put on a great live show, I have never not enjoyed myself seeing them. They do not disappoint. I was equally blown away by Garbage. As I said before, this was my first time seeing them live and I was so excited! They came out and gave a great performance! If you can get tickets to a show GO! Or if you ever have the chance to see either band on their own go! About the venue: it's outdoors and standing room only on the floor. You can bring your own seats if you want to sit at the back of the audience area. If you attend shows in the summer be mindful of the weather! It was very hot! I would recommend sunscreen and drinking lots of water, along with light cloths and comfortable shoes! No smoking and no outside food or drink - just an FYI. But over all a great place to see a concert. Have seen a few shows at this venue and would gladly go back for more. The setlists may not be in the correct order from start to finish but those are all of the songs played. I believe the Blondie set is pretty much right start to finish but the Garbage set may be a bit mixed up.

    These ladies rock!

by TheresaISU on 7/22/17Stir Concert Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel - Council Bluffs

Garbage put on an amazing show in spite of the temperature soaring over 100 degrees! Shirley looks fantastic! Blondie played with an energy I hope I can achieve at her age. Great songs, great energy, great sound!

    Garbage/Blondie were great!

by Pinkyfuzz on 7/22/17Stir Concert Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel - Council Bluffs

We showed up right before Garbage went on, so we didn't get a chance to see/hear the openers. Garbage was fantastic! Blondie was also very good, playing both new songs and hits from the 80s. Debbie Harry put on a great show!

    Biased....Maybe?

by TAllRED3Y3 on 7/13/17Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

It was "ON" from the get-go. Shirley has lots in the tank. I can't wait to see them again - it's just a question of where it'll be. Blondie was great!

It's Okay to Leave after the Garbage Set

by Chaptak on 7/12/17Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Not sure if Debbie Harry was not feeling well. Blondie was sad and painful -- mostly because the voice wasn't there. I didn't expect Ms. Harry to move a whole lot, so the "cardboard cutout" action was probably okay. All of that was a massive contrast to the energetic and phenomenal set by Garbage. I had seen Garbage half-a-dozen times during their career. This show was a contender for the top spot on my list. So, go see this for Garbage. Also enjoy the opener (in Vegas, it was a low-key duo -- still trying to find out who they were). Then leave. Play some Blondie songs in the car as you drive home.

    disappointed

by caryntwex on 7/11/17Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

the opening duo was so not for the crowd. Garbage would have been great if I could have seen the stage! when they came out everyone stood up and never sat down! Talented group. Kind of disappointed in Blondie. I don't agree that people should use their fame to promote their social issues (even if I agree with them) esp at their concerts. I would have enjoyed the concert more if I could have seen the entire stage! I didn't pay for a seat to stand the whole time!

    1/2 of X + Garbage and Blondie !!!

by mslabd on 7/11/17Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Beyond all expectations and they were high to begin with! Finding out Exene and John from X were on this date was an amazing surprise, which only was added to, post show, when Exene was kind enough to let me (well i probably barged in looking back) interrupt a session at a slot machine and sign the Blondie tour poster for us. There is Youtube evidence capturing the solid, really inspired sets all the bands put on this night. As always The Pearl was a great venue, and I must be getting old to say I didn't mind having a seat in what could have been the pit area for this show. Great sound and lighting , I have to say the video screens could have been black all night as far as i was concerned, way too much going on onstage, but they look great on Youtube :) Exene and John played a great if a song or 2 too short of a set before heading back to the 18th floor, (if you were there you will know)to enjoy the view. Garbage isn't going to please everyone with this set list, but will keep you standing, jazz hands flying,( thanks neighbor), throughout, the boys killing it and Shirley stalking and circling the stage like the old days, with an interesting wardrobe choice(s) this outing!! Debbie, Chris and Clem riveted your attention to 3 places at once and the 2nd guitar player (look them up yourself) along with the rest of the band made for

    Blondie/Garbage

by emt2er on 7/11/17Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

2nd time to see Garbage in Vegas. Glad to see Bud back on drums. Nonstop hard rock fo an hour, played all their hits except "Control" On a scale of 1-10....50. Blondie was good for a 72 y/o hip hop artist. A lot of familiar songs, good band.
