It was very very nice they should have more praise concerts

  • Hezekiah Walker & Praise in the Park was Awesome

    by airam128 on 7/23/13Chene Park - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Praise in the Park with Hezekiah Walker, Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett and others was awesome!! We truly enjoyed ourselves and had great seats. We definitely got our money's worth for this concert. The crowd was amazing...everyone was up on their feet singing, dancing and praising God. It felt like we were at a huge church. We hugged and spoke words of life to people we did not know. I would definitely like to see more concerts like this at Chene Park.

  • Excellent music, but.....

    by Vince27 on 7/23/13Chene Park - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

Tribbett commanded the concert. His heart was most evident in his performance. Byron was also outstanding but the sound system was so cranked up, by the time Hezekiah came out my ears were severely ringing that I endured only three songs from him. PLEASE adjust the treble levels in future concerts!

Great gospel concert, looking forward to more concerts on the riverfront and other venues. Missed Minister Charles Jenkins " My God Is Awesome". Would of like more songs from Byron Cage.

  • Hezekia Walker was wonderful

by Annointed7 on 2/2/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

This concert was much better that I expected. The planners took special care to ensure that the event started on time and moved smoothly for the entire evening. I was especially pleased about the many talents included for the low price of the tickets. Yolonda Adams and the local choirs were amazing. The host ("CoCo Brotha") and gospel comedian were a nice fit with the entire show and helped to keep the audience much engaged. Good job to All!!

  • Great

by Ceedouble on 2/1/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Everything was good except, I think Yolanda Adams can do a little less talking and more singing. Hezekiah is the bomb. I love him sooooo much. Will pay anything to see him again. Also is from my home town in Brooklyn N.Y.. I can see more of Hezekiah in Atlanta. So Please bring him back soon.

Shiloh High School was amazing! I hope to see them at future events. Hezekieh was amazing and Yolanda, what a beautiful voice. All the other choirs and groups God has truly blessed all of you with the gift of music!

  • Too Long....

by Msgtdel on 2/1/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Had I know that there were going to be 2 hours of opening acts, i probably would not have purchased tickets. I paid to see Yolanda Adams and Hezekiah Walker. One or two (at the most) opening acts would have been ok.. Yolanda Adams did not come to the stage until about 840, (the concert started at 640 instead of 630). I was also disappointed that Yolanda Adams did not have a live band with her. However, she sounded wonderful singing with music tracks.

  • Truly Blessed!

The anointing was definitely in the place! I really enjoyed Yolanda Adams and Hezekiah Walker! Yolanda did quite a bit of talking, but what she said was very inspirational and true. I would definitely love to see them again!

If it were not a gospel concert i would probably say worst, I was totally disappointed in the show, one thing that I have found out is if coca brother has anything to do with is look out, maybe Im too old but it was totally not what I expected, the sound was not good , the choirs were ok if you could hear them, no band with yolanda adams, It just was not what i thought it would be, every time i have gone to something coca brother has been apart of I have been dissapointed, dont get me wrong he is definitly a man of God , just does not promote a good concert.

The program was very good except there were too many chiors. I came to see the main entertainers. Three or four chiors would have been more than enough. I would also love to hear more songs from Yolanda and less talking. I appreciate how smoothly things were managed and that the program started on time.

We came to see Yolanda Adams and Hezekiah Walker. What we got was an endless parade of local artists performing. By the time Yolanda Adams came on stage at 9:15pm(The concert started at 6:30pm), we were tired and bored. After all that, she performed for only 30 minutes....talked more than sang and then exited, never to be seen or heard from again. Hezekiah Walker's presentation was a little more dynamic, but was also too short. Next time, please let potential ticketholders know how these concerts are organized so that we can know what to expect and decide if it's worth spending the money!

  • Hezekiah Walker Was Incredible

by 2B2BS on 2/1/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was excellent. I realize it was a benefit but would have preferred to hear more songs by Yolanda and Hezekiah than the local choirs.

Blessings to all you had the Faith to put on this super duper event.

  • Hezekiah was great and Shiloh High School WOW!

  • Hezekiah Walker w/Yolanda Adams

by Collette55 on 1/31/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed the talent that came before the main event such as: Hopewell Inspirational Choir, Beulah Baptist Church, and the High School Choir.....as well as the comedian. Then Ms. Yolanda Adams just encouraged the audience like she always does and sung songs that literally matched what she was telling the audience. Great!!! My goodness Bishop Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Choir just sung my soul happy. The seat I was sitting in was real scary for me (the height), but once they took the stage all my fears were erased!!! I felt like I was in another place, location and time. I was in heaven from start to finish, just imagine if he had the entire choir, oh my goodness!!!!

  • Yolanda and Hezekiah

by CAgrlz on 1/31/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

I attended last night's Gift of Music Live with Yolanda Adams and Hezekiah Walker. I enjoyed the concert...Coco Brother was a great MC and Shiloh High School's Choir was just awesome. In fact, while the other choirs were entertaining, I would have preferred to just hear from Shiloh and then to have gotten on to Yolanda and Hezekiah. After all that's really who we came to see. I got to the Gwinnett Arena at 7:30 pm...an hour after the event began and I was right on time. By 7:30 p.m. I had missed three previous choirs and still was in time to hear Beulah, Voices of Faith and one other choir sing several songs. This was just too much before the headliners. The line-up was so long that there was time for two MC's...just too much. As for Yolanda and Hezekiah. Yolanda is always beautiful and inspiring. BUT....she did way too much talking and joking. We to hear her sing and while I know she had a lot to say (preach) I wanted to hear more of her awesome voice and was a little bored with all of her gym and fitness talk. Hezekiah came out and turned it out....He sang! Period! and the Word came through the music.

  • Shiloh High School Awesome!

by SnoopyJ on 1/31/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I believe the name of the high school was Shiloh. Those kids were AMAZING!!!! I would have paid to hear them perform a whole concert. I believe the other high school students were MPH. Very good rappers. I LOVED< LOVED <LOVED the second rap they performed. It was a blessing to be involved in a gospel experience that was not the norm.

  • Yolanda short and sweet

by atl187 on 1/31/10The Arena At Gwinnett Center - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was uplifting, but brief in musical content. I went to see Yolanda Adams and she was great. Unfortunately she only sang five songs and didn't have her band. I didn't mind not having the band as much as her short list of songs performed.
