About

William "Billy" Currington has racked up seven No. 1 hits over ten successful years including 2013's smash single "Hey Girl" and brand-new album We Are Tonight.

Born in 1973 and raised in Rincon, Georgia, Currington moved to Nashville after high school to pursue a career in country music, working for a concrete company to make ends meet and playing clubs and writing songs on the side. He eventually cut tracks for George Strait, Kenny Rogers and Mark Wills, which led to him signing to Mercury Nashville Records in 2003. His self-titled debut album came out later that year, featuring the singles "Walk a Little Straighter" about his relationship with his alcoholic stepfather, and "I Got A Feelin’", which reached the Top 5 on the country charts. His sophomore album Doin’ Something Right was released in 2005, spawning the singles "Why, Why, Why" and the number one hits "Must Be Doin’ Something Right" and "Good Directions", and selling over one million copies in the U.S. In 2008, Currington put out the track "Don’t", which climbed to number two on the charts and preceded the release of his third album Little Bit of Everything, also featuring number one singles "People Are Crazy" and "That’s How Country Boys Roll". His fourth studio album Enjoy Yourself came out in 2010 and its singles "Pretty Good at Drinkin’ Beer" and "Let Me Down Easy" also achieved number one status on the country charts. He was toured with the likes of Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Sugarland, playing concerts to ticket holders all over the country.

Billy was hot! And Marty rocked!

by BillysFan on 9/7/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

This was our first time to cowboy's and it was so worth it! Billy currington was hot and kept it going all night! His opener Marty (forgot his last name) was awesome too...I can see him on cmt soon.....incredible voice! With both of them there was not a boring moment . I hope to return to see them another time and only with a better camera! This cowboy's was impeccable.not trashy or dirty either. They had literally everything you could need or want.I loved it!

billy currington found the words in my heart......

by gallerygirl on 9/7/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

i completely enjoyed the event. billy currington is not only sexy to look at, listen to, and watch, but he is a true entertainer. no crazy stuff, just great music and enjoyable stories thrown in to get to know him on a more personal level. I enjoyed the atmosphere of cowboys dancehall and found the opening band enjoyable and extremely talented. the only drawback to the whole event was the late hour that billy got started. i'm just not a late night partygoer and am a working gal who had to be up early for the laborday weekend sales at my business. but all in all, i loved the concert and can do that at least a couple times a year.

Check location for concerts clubs are a poor choice bands dont start on time and play a quick hour. Fans want to here the bands music not other artists. If playing other artist music keep it to one song if your only playing an hour.

    Billy was awsome

by danarae123 on 9/6/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

I loved the concert. His voice is so amazing. He can really sing. I loved how laid back he was. He sang without his shoes on. I was right up front. He kept looking my way. He sang all his hits and some covers and some songs from his new CD. He played for an hour and 1/2. At first I thought the concert would never start. When it did start it was the best concert ever. He wore jeans that were torn at the knee and at the hip. His muscles were showing through his shirt. His hair is so curly. When the concert was over he came and touched our hands. I loved it. My fiance gave him a fist. I love concerts at cowboys. The lead guterist kept coming over to our way and he got right in front and rocked it out. Then the keybordest came out and staged dived.

    Billy Currington was AWESOME!!!

by steph0807 on 9/6/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

This was the first time me and my husband have been to a concert at cowboys dancehall and we had a great time. We were right by the stage and got to see everything. It was an unforgettable night. I got some amazing photos and video. This was better than a stadium concert. The ticket price was reasonable. And we look forward to other concerts at cowboys.

Billy Currington is the real deal

by EddieDean on 9/6/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

Billy Currington delivered the goods in fine style. He is relatively young yet already has several number one hits to sing, and still holds a great future in his hands. It was just a fine, fine night. Billy Currington is the real deal. But why do venues feel concerts have to be so LOUD? We ain't deaf, ya know. But we soon will be deaf after a few more sonic blasts like that!

Billy Currington show was disappointing to me

by Platypus on 9/6/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

For what ever reason the show never started until 11:15. ( much too late) Opening act off the stage nearly 45 min before Billy came on. Then 2 of his songs were played on moniter before he took the stage. I was hoping for country music but got mainly rock, too loud and words barely audible most of the time. When we pay for a concert we want to hear what we hear on the radio and even his pop songs were played so differently that they were almost unrecognizable. Then on top of all that his current hit people are crazy he forgot the words at the end of the song. We left before he finished, not happily. Billy Currington is a good showman but his show needs some work.

    Barefoot and Beautiful

by kat28 on 9/6/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

After the introduction from radio personalities and too long a wait, Billy Currington finally came onstage and instantly won over the audience with his somewhat shy and unassuming style. He was barefoot and dressed in extremely worn jeans. However, it was all very refreshing. As he played and sang hit after hit, the audience sang along obviously having waited for this privilege and opportunity. Billy Currington's voice is perfect for singing country, pop, and blues. While this fan appreciates all his vocal endeavors, I hope he sticks with country.

    Billy Currington

by CurringtonFan on 9/6/09Cowboys Dancehall - San Antonio

It was terrible. I don't know whether it was a Cowboys Dancehall issue / request or whether he simply wasn't ready to come on stage but he didn't come on to perform until 11:35 PM. I was disappointed to learn when we got there that he wasn't coming on until 10:30 but then to have to wait for over an hour longer was insulting. As it was, I did not get to hear some of my favorite songs that he sings as we needed to leave at midnight to be ready to serve in worship service at church this morning. A huge waste of money.

    Show Awesome, Venue Awfull

    by BillyFanOhio on 8/24/09Screamin' Willie's - Columbus

Billy Currington is one awesome artist. He has so much different music in his show. He is just simply georgous but seems shy. He has so many different taste in music and the blues comes out in the different songs. I am a huge Billy Currington fan and wouldn't have blamed him if he left and didn't come back out for an encore. Screemin Willies was the worst. It was so hot that people actually started leaving. Too many fights, too many people crammed in one place. They didn't bring him on until 11:00 pm. some had been there for hours. By the time he did come on, most of the people that stood for hours left because of the awful conditions! People were just awful there and they didn't even have fans on the artist. It had to be 100 degrees or more in there. We missed half the show because we all just felt sick and had to go outside. Never recommend this place for a show. It's a shame because it is a big place and centrally located for all.

    Billy Currington

    by Weldergirl on 8/24/09Screamin' Willie's - Columbus

The event had terrible sound. Hard to understand what he was singing if you were not familiar with his songs. Everyone was crammed in so tight there was no air circulating. He did not come on stage until after 11:00 PM due to people with backstage passes, etc. This should have been taken care of during the opening act. I will never go back to Screemin' Willie's ever! Will see Billy again if he is in a decent place.

Billy was amazing, venue not so much

    by hfoster2 on 8/23/09Screamin' Willie's - Columbus

I have never seen Billy Currington in concert before and I was very excited about seeing him at Screaming Willie's, knowing that it would be smaller then most venues. When we arrived at eight o' clock, the small bar was already packed and we waited in line for over twenty minutes for drinks, which were essential in the overbearing heat. After fighting for a spot to stand (which was a very difficult task), we found ourselves standing there for over two and a half hours. Billy didn't come on until well passed eleven and didn't even play for an hour. Ten minutes into the concert we were forced to move due to heat and not being able to see well at all. In the end, I don't even feel as though I saw Billy Currington, and felt as though I wasted thirty dollars and four hours of my life.
