The living room format was new, refreshing and a bunch of fun!
Billy Crystal was wonderful and most of all humanly entertaining. I laughed, cried and he has no problem making you think. He is one of a kind.
He had friend Bonnie Hunt on stage for a two hour rehearsed conversation that seemed spontaneous and was punctuated by performances and story telling.
Entertaining, but not to the tune of $165. plus add ons per ticket.
Billy was wonderful for 2 1/2 hours nonstop. Funny, warm. Incredible impressions. Bonnie Hunt was funny in her own right and made a great partner for Billy. A memorable evening!
talk show boring - missed that he didn't much of his comedy act
He was absolutely "marvelous"! It was a funny and clean presentation which I appreciated!
Great entertainer! Bonnie Hunt was a great comic partner! Beautiful venue!
He is such a master story teller and has lived an incredible life! You laughed and smiled your way through an entire 2 plus hours and left feeling like you had just spent that time drinking and laughing around a kitchen table with close friend.
it was the most wonderful show I have seen in a while. He is brilliant and knows how to deliver to the audience.
Loved the show. Billy Crystal was great. Would loved to hear more from Bonnie Hunt.
Was very disappointed. Did not like all the swearing. Comedians can be very funny without using cheap profanity. Would of liked Bonnie to say more about herself and her work, especially the movie Return to Me!
The show was 2 hours long. There was some old stuff, but he had a lot of wonderful new material. Helen Hunt was fabulous in interviewing him. He was very funny & it is clear that he spent a tremendous amount of time preparing for these shows. Extremely enjoyable evening!!
For some reason I had expected more of a traditional comedian's performance... standup... but what it really was more like was an episode of "Inside the Actor's Studio." A series of stories/anecdotes from behind the scenes of Billy's career... not sure I'd pay this sort of pricing for that again. But still a fun night out with some laughs. We had a good time...
I always loved Billy Crystal and was looking forward to seeing him live. What a disappointment! It was basically a review of his life and there was nothing "live" about his performance.
We missed the first 15 minutes of the show because we were driving around the parking garage trying to find a vacant spot. What was frustrating was seeing numerous spaces secluded behind metal barricades. We wasted 35 minutes in that garage. We had planned on staying at the casino before departing the MGM, instead,we drove home. The next day was the end of Billy Crystal's 4 month tour. He was very funny and he is a great performer. Summary: Billy Crystal= A+, Theater at MGM= A, parking at MGM= F.
We had a wonderful time at this show. Billy Crystal and Bonnie Hunt are awesome. They really worked well together, and the show was fantastic to watch. The theater at the MGM National Harbor is very nice, and the staff are wonderful and helpful.
Love Billy Crystal! This was a fun evening. I didn't enjoy the format as well as 700 Sundays, but still lots of fun. Loved the old clips. MGM National Harbor needs to work the kinks out about waiting in line and entering the theater. Theater not very plush.
i rarely write reviews. while we love Billy Crystal and his humor this show was VERY disappointing. the format of his being "interviewed" was poorly constructed and delivered as we were expecting and would much preferred his comedy routine and "act". The big screen behind him should have displayed him during the show and our poor seats in the balcony could not see his facial expressions when he was using them for his humor. HIs stand up act would have been preferable to the format used for this show, as this seemed a recap of his career rather than what we were expecting to be a standup routine which would have been much funnier.
The show was nostalgic, heartfelt and absolutely without a doubt entertaining! What an incredible man!
