    Loved Gaither Vocal Band

by BvKv on 5/9/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

I expected more of the well known performers. I really missed Michael English and Guy Penrod. I prefer when they have all the performers on stage and the group comes out front when it is their turn.

    Worst Homecoming ever

by CajunP on 5/9/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

This concert was the worst one ever attended for several reasons. 1. Arena was a bad location.... no easy way to get off of main freeways (Sam Rayburn and North Dallas tollway). Too congested at the "only entrance" via car probably because another event at the Star complex 2. Parking was not easily obtained. Officers were not at their best. And then there was additional fee, on top of the seat price, plus arena price, plus entertainment price.. 3. Once at the Arena, only one entrance, one door into the event. Scanning of tickets by two people made the line really congested of "funneling" all the people in one area. 4. Once inside arena the "Event Staff" were not available to direct people to their seat, and when asked by one "Staffer" she had no clue where our seats were. 5. Although concert went on for 4 1/2 hours, at times it seemed like some performers were being hurried along. 6. Overall performance seemed like everyone was "trying out" their new songs, would have preferred a blend of old and new.... sound could have been toned down just a bit. 7. We were in a group of 6 people and the comments of our small group were generally the same. One couple who had never been to a "homecoming" were not impressed. 8. My suggestion to Mr. Gaither is to move back to Preston Wood or SW Seminary where he has been for years, and go back to the "Blend".

    The Gaither Homecoming is inspirational

by Anonymous on 5/9/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

This was the best 4+ hours of worshiping God I have spent since the last time I saw them. I wish they were here every year.

Was there Fri nite...much preferred the older songs that you could really worship to...not just being entertained. Words on the screen would help understand what some groups were singing......not what they used to be in an effort to be "new"... Would prefer more hymns

The Gaithers Homecoming Tour 2017 Phenomenon

by Anonymous on 5/9/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

This was the first time I saw a live performance by The Gaither Vocal Band & Company and it was phenomenal and one of the best concerts I have attended. Couldn't get enough and it could have lasted all day and night and still would not be enough! It was very uplifting and entertaining all at the same time. I can't say enough and highly recommend for all ages to experience this fantastic, loving and Christian family of singers at least once in their lifetime, but it won't be an only for me, can't wait to the next one in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. See you there and y'all come back now, you hear!!!

    Expectations Exceeded!

by WCTX on 5/9/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

My first time to attend a Gaither event, and it was everything and more than I expected. Loved every minute. Getting to parking lots at the Dr. Pepper Arena was a nightmare. Along with countless others, we missed the first 20-30 minutes of the concert. Grateful that the Gaithers were not in a hurry to end it.

    Concert Great / Venue Terrible

by Bealewis on 5/9/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

Concert was great as usual. Dr. Pepper Arena was the worst venue I have ever been in. Not only was the venue very uncomfortable, the logistics of getting in and out of the arena were terrible. I will not be going back to anything at the Dr. pepper Arena.

Gaither Homecoming and Gaither Vocal Band are tops

by Gaitherfollower2 on 5/8/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

We are regulars at Gaither events in Texas and on their cruises. There are no greater events for an evening, or afternoon, of beautiful music, comedy, and worship. You always come away uplifted and smiling. Gaither concerts are not spectator events. The audience is encouraged to sing along on any of the music they know.

    Gaither Homecoming 2017 was awesome!

by Tambo1951is on 5/8/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

I love Southern Gospel so I knew the concert would be great. I only got to go on Friday night so I missed some artists I wanted to see but the ones that were there were just awesome. Such a great experience worshipping our God. Only down side was that Gloria didn't sing but her part was so thought provoking. Seats needed floor access.

    Gaithers Weekend

by Onner on 5/8/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

Love the Gaithers and all the artist who travel in their caravan Love their message in song and testimony... I've had a small group of family/friends that travel from East Tx for many years to worship at this venue and this was the poorest rating I've ever given. IT WAS NOT THE GAITHERS FAULT but where it was held.

    Bill Gaither Concerts

by NanaTexas on 5/8/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

The only reason this wasn't 5 stars was the venue. As always, Bill Gaither had 2 wonderful shows this weekend! We have gone to multiple days of concerts for many years. Each show is filled with encouraging, worshipful groups and music. So many older songs to sing along with mixed with newer music as well. Very inspirational! Our only complaint was the venue. Dr. Pepper Arena was designed as a sports arena. The location was very inconvenient for many of our friends and others we talked with in attendance. The seats were too close and very uncomfortable. I'm not sure whether the lack of leg room or sitting shoulder to shoulder, thigh to thigh with your neighbor was worse. It was impossible to see the entire stage and the video screens were set too low. Just not the best place for an older audience.

    Unforgettable

by Pdgr on 5/8/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

Very disappointed. Bought the tickets before David Phelps quit the Gaithers and he was the reason we booked the weekend. We loved the Gaithers with David Phelps not without him. Issacs were great. Martins were great. We left at intermission both days.

    Incredible

by 4959 on 5/8/17Dr Pepper Arena - Frisco

There is only one word to describe these concerts--INCREDIBLE. They were worth every penny we paid for the tickets and then some. We have attended a number of Gaither Concerts over the years and they are always excellent. I would urge Bill Gaither's planners to consider going back to the Prestonwood Church next year if at all possible. I think overall it is much better venue in every way. The Dr. Pepper center was OK, but there is so much congestion in that area and parking is difficult, especially for the churches who bring van loads of people because there is limited parking for this type of vehicle. If there is a baseball game, as there was Friday, just compounds the problem. Aside from parking, the concert was tremendous.
