Country group Big & Rich hit the big time when “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” off their triple-platinum 2004 debut became a Top 40 hit.The song outlnined the duo’s arrival in Nashville and was featured in commercials during the 2004 World Series of Poker and Super Bowl XLI, garnering the band further attention after appearing in the video game Karaoke Revolution Country. Big & Rich’s fan base is so widespread that 2014 tour dates only sell a limited amount of tickets per individual. Peoria, Illinois, will be welcoming the country duo to Ravina on the Lakes in July 2014. America’s Technicolor cowboys provide plenty of party songs while on tour, including “Party Like Cowboyz” and "Get Your Game On." Interspersed throughout the concert are socially conscious ballads, such as "Last Words," John Rich’s description of "Roy Orbison meets Queen."
John Rich was one of the original members of country band Lonestar before meeting Hollywood Records solo artist Kenny Alphin (Big Kenny) in a club. They collaborated on writing the song, “I Pray for You,” in 1998 and started MuzikMafia (Musically Artistic Friends in Alliance). Both John and Big Kenny participate in worthwhile philanthropy projects, including performing in a 2006 benefit concert for construction of the 173rd Airborne Memorial, which was later turned into a documentary. The concert's Vietnam-era song, “8th of November,” was recorded in 2007. Big & Rich are still spending plenty of time in the studio and plan to release their fifth album in 2014. The duo’s hard work has paid off with nominations for Vocal Duo of the Year in 2012 and 2013. "We continue to try to inspire," says Kenny. "We just try to be ourselves in a world that sometimes insinuates you shouldn't go outside the boundaries.”
I have seen B&R perform about 15 times, but their 3 year hiatus did not hurt them. The only thing flashy are John's pants. It is all about the music and the love. And Gretchen Wilson took the whole event to a higher level. How many bands perform the Star Spangled Banner in the middle of a show. They are truly a class act. All that I can say is that B&R are my all-time favorite.
Hi : Great concert, very high energy show. Everybody plays together, one stage, same band. Gretchen Wilson is the true female southern rocker. None of the other gals come close. Hope too see this show again.
The Xtreme Muzik The Tour Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson W/ Cowboy Troy was truly awesome! My wife and I have seen Big and Rich live over ten times and this was by far their best show. Gretchen Wilson was at her best, we have seen her live five times and she keeps getting better and of course Cowboy Troy was super. We have tickets for the Xtreme Muzik Tour in two weeks at Whites Creek, TN and we can't wait to see the show again. PS: The IP Casino's Studio A is a wonderful facility, not a bad seat in the house, with movie style seats throughout the facility. Our standing room only tickets was center stage on the third row and we could have gotten closer since we were around the twentieth inline.
I would recommend this concert to anyone - even if you are not a country music fan. All the players have so much energy they keep you entertained from start to finish....WELL worth the money :)
Very high energy and thoroughly enjoyable. Great setlist with the addition of Gretchen and Cowboy Troy. Nice tribute to veterans as well.
Big and rich were awesome along with Gretchen and Cowboy Troy. I am so glad they are touring together again. Love their music. Fantastic experience.
Studio A at the IP in Biloxi is totally awesome! I thought the tickets were kind of expensive, but being that close to the singers was worth every penny! I will definitely be going there again!!
What a great rockin' show they put on! Loved their new songs! I think they have a #1 with "Fake I.D". Crowd was a great mix of young and old. Everyone on their feet dancing in place. Drove 3 hrs to see them...glad we did!
The show was phenomenal. They all rocked it so hard. I had waited 7 years to see Big & Rich and they totally delivered. They started at 7pm straight up. I was floored when they came on.......together. I didn't realize that was the format. What an amazing group of musicians. I couldn't have been any more pleased. I caught Cowboy Troy's towel when he threw it to the audience. I had seen Gretchen last year and she was great then too. But this time I was up close and that was great. It is so cool to see these guys up close and rockin' it. John Rich's boots, jeans, way cool. Awesome when Big Kenny rocks his top hat. The music was outstanding. I am very choosey about the concerts I spend my money on. I bought the highest priced ticket and loved every minute of the show.
One of the best concerts I have ever seen. The mix of both bands during the entire show was great!
Great camaraderie between all the performers. Good variety and played all the songs you expected to hear, plus surprises.
This concert was WOW!!!. From the start to the finish had you on your feet and crowd participation. Had a great time. Gretchen was as always was unbeilable and Big & Rich was very entertaining. Can not say enough good things about this concert. Definately recommend any one to see this tour. You will not be disappointed at all. Gretchen amazing voice. Like the fact they brought alittle bit of the after party to the stage.
Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson & Cowboy Troy were GREAT! What energy, two hours of fabulous music. I saw them a couple of years ago at the Jam in the Valley & thought that concert was awesome, but this concert was even better. They all know how to work the crowd. Can't wait to see them again!!
The concert was AWESOME!! They played to the crowd, kept us pumped up and feet tapping. Everyone that we spoke to afterwards said that was a great concert and they would definitely see them again!
One of the best concerts I have ever seen. They put on a fantastic show. Gretchen Wilson was great also. If you ever get a chance to see them don't miss it.
They build excitement & then draw you in making you feel you are part of their party. As I looked around the room everyone, yes everyone was pulled in. The party lasted two jam packed hours with the best music of Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson.
Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson were great. They put on a fantastic show. I would recommend seeing their show. However, the Event Center left a lot to be desired. Six rows from the front and on the left side and had trouble seeing the whole stage. Purchased tickets with-in 10 minutes after they went on sale and the seats should have been a lot better. I don't know if they saved the better seats for people in the premium club at the casino or what, but if that is the case they shouldn't have charged over a $100.00 a seat. I know I'm partly to blame for paying that much but I figured for that price we would at least be able to see all the stage. If I ever go there to see another show I will be very selective about the seats. Asked security on the way in if it was ok to take pictures, was told cameras were not allowed. After show started noticed about 2 out of every 3 people had cameras. some were taking videos of the show. Did the policy change, if so shouldn't they have announced it. Bottom line: great entertainers, crappy seats,

When Big & Rich were on stage, they did well. But there were too many opening acts and too much time spent between opening acts. B&R did not come on until after 2 hours of opening acts (7 pm scheduled start, 9 pm B&R). And then, they played for a little over an hour. I don't think we got our value for this one.
Like some others had mentioned 3 opening acts.......they were not even introduced and not very good.....1/2 hour between each band for set up. Big and Rich didn't even come out till 930pm for a 7pm start on concert. Not a comfortable wait in the rain!! Love Big and Rich and have traveled many times to see them but simply not enough of them!! Very dissapointed and I have tickets to see again in Nashville and not looking forward to it now! Would have gone to Pikeville KY as I live in KY but not going to bother now.
