Big K.R.I.T. on Tour

Southern Rap is not dead, and Big K.R.I.T. is here to prove it with his Digital Roses Tour with special guests ELHAE and PRICE, making 32 stops across 24 states in the U.S. This tour comes off the release of two major projects in 2022 for K.R.I.T.: Digital Roses Don't Die, a solo project that comprises 17 songs including the single "So Cool," and the joint-venture with Wiz Khalifa and Girl Talk titled Full Court Press. Known best for his tight delivery and down-south themes, concertgoers describe K.R.I.T.'s stage presence "like no other. . . that never disappoints," and promises to deliver a "top shelf performance (with) good vibes and great fans." His style is influenced by Southern rap legends like UGK, Smoke DZA, OutKast, Three 6 Mafia, and Ludacris, but K.R.I.T. has spent years carving out his own influential and impactful space. His breakthrough came in 2010 with his single "Country S***." The song was remixed by Ludacris and Bun B a year later and sent waves through the hip-hop community. In 2011, Big K.R.I.T. was named one of 11 rappers to XXL magazine's Freshman Class. In perhaps the most loaded year since the magazine started naming their freshman class with a list that included Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, Mac Miller, YG, and Lil B, K.R.I.T. separated himself from the pack with his freestyle cypher. A year later, K.R.I.T. was one of a half dozen rappers to feature on A$AP Rocky's "1 Train" (other features included Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, and Action Bronson) from the album Long. Live. ASAP. Despite a saturated track, K.R.I.T. distinguished himself yet again with tight delivery and precise rhymes that lended to his rise. Since 2012, K.R.I.T. has fed his fans with a steady stream of projects, releasing nine albums in 10 years.

Big K.R.I.T. Live in Concert

Born Justin Scott in Meridian, Mississippi, Big K.R.I.T. will tell you himself you can hear the Southern influence in his music. K.R.I.T. learned music at an early age, even playing the cello in his younger years. He was rhyming and producing for years before he got his first big break in 2010. With the success of the single "Country S***," he signed with Def Jam and released his first album K.R.I.T. Wuz Here with features from Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa and Smoke DZA, among others. A year later, his album Return of 4Eva was praised by Rolling Stone and Spin magazines as one of the best projects of the year. However, K.R.I.T. did not establish himself in the mainstream until 2012 with his feature on "1 Train" and the release of his project Live from the Underground, which debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 5. His style was more reflective and refined on the substantive release Cadillactica (another Top 10 hit), which released in 2014. Shortly after, K.R.I.T. departed from Def Jam records and founded his own independent label, Multi Alumni, on which he's been releasing projects ever since. Since then, he has been producing a steady output of project releases and lyrical and production features for Rick Ross, A$AP Ferg, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, and J. Cole.

    Great Show!!!

by ShalisaP on 9/20/12Howard Theatre - Washington

As a newly signed artist, but definitely not new to the music world, BIG KRIT gave an amazing performance!! The energy at the show was super energetic, as I'm sure everyone there has followed KRIT and his work for a while, and as I am, very proud that he has made his mark as he did. He did nothing less than captivate the entire crowd when he poured his heart out with "The Vent", a single from his album "Return Of 4ever" and left of us emotionally fired up and cheering $%^& these haters and #&^! these hoes- with "Got This" Hands down KRIT def got this!!!

    King Remebered In Time

by ChipOnder on 9/20/12Howard Theatre - Washington

Krit killed it, as I knew he would.(I have seen him before, so I 'm hip to what he can do). Slim Thuggah did his thing too. Dope tribute to Pimp C, UGK, & H-Town. As well as the other opening acts. Big Sant represented. Did a lot of his features on Krits earlier material, w/ was cool. I wasn't really up on Tito Lopez, but I am now. GT did his thing too. Ol' boy from the Southside put on a good show too. I'm not familiar w/ him at all, and I live in SouthEast, DC.(?) Steve Francis assisted hypeman was cool. I'll say, it was so good, I went to the very next show in B'More, the very next night. B'More's venue was a lot smaller, more intimate. But lacked the energy of DC. Which was surprising because, The District is usually too cool to party w/o it being straight Gangster/hype material. (Figure B-More got off to a late start on the libations & the chiefing). Love the Howard Theater, great venue. Feels like Black History. Classy set-up, but not boojie . Still blazed. Real professional staff.

    Big KRIT is great!

    by Eddey91812 on 9/20/12Howard Theatre - Washington

I greatly enjoyed Krit. He always gives a great performance and keeps the audience very engaged. I was blown away to see that after performing he and Big Sant didn't leave the stage until after signing every requested autograph in the audience. It was truly a great show. Love me some Krit!

    Rip off!!!

by JessieMaye on 6/11/12Alabama Theatre - Birmingham

I was so pissed and highly upset with this event. I paid the highest price possible to sit in the front row and you know what happened??? Big K.R.I.T. did not come out until the very end and he only did 2 short songs! It started at 8pm right? Well he did not come out until 11:50pm!!! NOT even kidding! I was so mad! I waited 4 hours listening to a bunch of local artists that SUCKED! The place had to close at midnight so 2 songs was all he could do. So I paid all that freakin money to see some crappy local artists and only 2 messily songs from the person I PAID to see!?!?!?? I love Big K.R.I.T. but he really disappointed me!

KRIT should be ashamed of himself for Bham gig...

by SteveOwens on 5/15/12Alabama Theatre - Birmingham

KRIT I am a big fan of yours. I am going through a tough time right now and your music has given me a lot of strength. I drove alone from Atlanta to Birmingham to see your show last night at the Alabama Theatre. Gas, ticket, hotel, etc.... I have been to 75+ concerts over the last 10 years and that was the WORST excuse for a show I have ever seen. You owe your fans an apology and their money back for the disrespect that you showed us all last night. Leaving us with a couple of local acts and then hours of a local DJ while we all waited for you to show.... Then showing up at 11:40 PM, doing 3 songs and walking off at Midnight.... ridiculous. I don't know who's fault it was and I don't care but you need to make it right. With a new album coming out you don't need this... Either refund all the money or do another show for free.... yes, it was that bad! Steve
