BIG HEAD TODD & THE MONSTERS IN CONCERT:
Rocky Mountain favorites Big Head Todd & the Monsters have been serving up no-frills blues rock since the late '80s, but it was '90s classics like "Bittersweet" and "Circle" that really put them on the map. More than 20 years later, the band has still got it, and they've had ample time to perfect their live show, often taking the stage for more than three hours on their 2013 tour dates. Punctuating the band's marathon sets are extensive solos by guitar virtuoso and frontman Todd Park Mohr, who rifles through his arsenal of guitars while dueling with the band's frequent special guest performers. Fans can expect another impressive series of shows as the band hits the road once again in support of 2014's Black Beehive.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Colorado in the late '80s, Big Head Todd & the Monsters enjoyed a slow but steady rise thanks to their hard work on the road. Already a revered live act by the time of their 1989 self-titled debut album, the band found mainstream success with 1993's Sister Sweetly, which spawned three charting singles and went on to receive platinum certification from the RIAA. Over the years Big Head Todd & the Monsters have recorded and performed with blues legends including John Lee Hooker and B.B. King, maintaining an impressive release schedule that has kept them busy on tour. With the release of Black Beehive in 2014, the band celebrated 25 years of recording, hitting the road for an extensive US tour.

Had the best time seeing Big head Todd and the Monsters at Count Basie. My husband knew him in the blues circles in Colorado in the 90s. This was my first time seeing him and I was blown away. I would go once a week if possible!
Todd and the Monsters were incredible. I urge you to go see them and support them. Blown away!

I always appreciate my Colorado brothers stopping by St Louis. Love hearing Todd’s bluesy guitar. The house mix was great also. I could hear that beautiful organ coming thru this time. My only request is more solo time from Jeremy. I know he’s capable of it.
They sounded fabulous and musicianship far exceeded expectations. The jam solos were ungodly.
I bought tickets in the balcony and what was not stated was they were obstructed views. Could only see half lead singer and bassist and through a “fence like” railing. Be careful buying tickets on left or right side Concert itself, staff, ability to get a drink are all great
This was a great show, by a very talented group of musicians. The sound was excellent too
St Andrew's Hall is always a great place to see a show. Sound is always great and the venue is clean with great employees. The band was fantastic and played just under 2 hours.
This band has been putting on great performances since the early 90's. I try to catch them anytime they are in Michigan. Great show as always!
The venue is amazing, plenty of bar and bathroom for everyone. You can always see and hear the band no matter where you are. Big Head Todd has been a great show every time I have seen them over many many years. They are so good live - and do not seem to have aged. Really one of the best show bands still playing regularly. This show was no different. An awesome night!
Great Band, Great Show, Great Venue and I think it helped that it was only about half full but made it a wonderful and enjoyable experience.
This band never disappoints! Like a fine wine gets better with age! They switch up the setlist while including fan favorites! Love this band!
Got there early, showed my tickets on my phone. Got our seats as soon as the doors opened. Easy as pie!
