    Much needed Hype!!

by Heartographer on 3/27/11Harrah's Casino - New Orleans

Big Boi did his thing at Harrahs Casino along with local N.O. Rapper Dee-1 (he is amazing- youtube him). It was well over an hour show. I'm so happy I got to see at least one member from Outkast. I'm a very big fan of their Aquemini album, especially. Big Boi kept the room hype and we felt as if we were participating. In fact, he pulled a lot of women up on the stage... it was pretty funny. Had a great time!

Big Boi put on the best show I've ever seen!

by SchmaaDoo on 3/27/11Harrah's Casino - New Orleans

This show was so much fun. Big Boi was amazing. His rapping was perfect. The videos they played along with him rapping was really cool because Big Boi was on stage rapping along with him rapping in the videos. Everyone was dancing. The excitement in the room was contagious. The DJ was awesome too. I wasn't even expecting him to play Outkast songs, which he actually did! Including great songs like "Rosa Parks", "Ms. Jackson", "Bombs over Baghdad", and "So Fresh,So Clean" and other Outkast songs from "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik"album. And he also played songs off his new solo album, which I LOVE. Almost every song the audience was asked to participate by either shouting something or dancing on stage, etc. It was so cool. Also my boyfriend and I were able to buy Big Boi t-shirts, which we previously couldn't find anywhere else online! So that's exciting; I just wish mine was smaller. One of the funnest nights of my life! I had so much fun dancing and singing/rapping along to EVERY song! If Big Boi comes to this area or another area even remotely close to here then I am going no matter what the cost is. That show was worth it, and we were decently close to the stage;but we could have been a lot closer if we wanted to! It was a great show. Big Boi is a top notch musician, which I already knew, but I'm glad his live show lived up to my expectations as well! If you have a chance to go see him rap, GO! Do NOT hesitate. The only change I would make is having it last ALL night because I didn't want the concert to end! I wish he would have played some of my other favorite songs from his new album like "Night Night" and "Back Up Plan" that aren't as well known. But I'm really glad he played Outkast songs, "Shine Blockas," "Fo Yo Sorrows," "Shutterbug," and my favorite song "Daddy Fat Sax." Overall, this was the best concert I've been to and I've even seen The Police, Paul McCartney, Tiger Army, Coheed and Cambria, and many local jazz and ska shows over the years. This took the cake, however, with being so close to Big Boi, singing and dancing along to the songs, and Big Boi's expertise rapping! I want to go see him rap again soon!

    Big Boi

by juhupenguin on 2/4/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

Maybe it was because it was his Birthday, or maybe it was because he was only playing one other show in New York City, or maybe it's just because he's Big Boi, but the man has not lost any flavor. He thoroughly rocked the house, starting off with a medley of throwback Outkast favorites and throwing in a new hit every couple of songs. I salute you General Patton!

Big Boi with Eligh & Scarub

    by Chink44 on 2/1/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

The concert overall was amazing! Big Boi brings in all walks of people. Big Boi was well worth the ticket price and hearing some of the old Outcast stuff was sweet. However, Eligh & Scarub were truthfully more entertaining. Their beats and lyrics were the bomb. Props to the new boys.

Big Boi was amazing while he was on stage

by Anonymous on 1/30/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

Big Boi's performance was amazing....while he was on stage. There was energy, engagement, and limitless fun during his performance but unfortunately he only played for one hour. For an artist of Big Boi's caliber, a one hour show is disgraceful. I understand that Denver may not be his demographic but that does not mean he is to give a show that lasts half the time of the opening act. Suffice it to say that despite the spectacular performance while he was on stage, the length of time he was on stage was extremely disappointing.

    Great Show, Bad Crowd

by Azncoleone on 1/30/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

I was surprised he didn't do as much of his solo album, but you can never have enough Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik and ATLiens. As for the crowd it was a bunch of obnoxious people who were drunk before they walked in the door. I felt bad because this guy behind us passed out and slammed this lady to the ground hard.

    Don't miss Big Boi

by Anonymous on 1/30/11Ogden Theatre - Denver

The Bog Boi show at the Ogden Theater in Denver was incredible! I attended the show with a group of 5 girlfriends and we all said it was the best show we had ever attended by any artist. Big Boi performed songs from his latest album, Sir Lucious Leftfoot, as well as everyone's favorite Outkast songs (which was a nice surprise!). Big Boi was enthusiastic, energetic, and interacted with the crowd quite a bit. I would definitely see this show again in another city if given the opportunity. Don't miss Big Boi when he comes to your city!

    A Great Performance

by PChoix on 12/31/10Terminal 5 - New York

While I was very disappointed to hear the news that Calvin Harris had to cancel, Dave 1 really made up for it. While I missed the Knocks, LA Riots threw down an incredible set, bringing incredible energy with the groups new releases, mashing up label mate tracks (My Personal favorite being warp 1.9 by Steve Aoki and The Bloody Beetroots vs Pon De Floor by Major Lazer), and just hyping up the crowd really well. Big Boi was a nice surprise for me. While I am a fan of hip hop and of both outkast and Big Boi's solo work, I didnt see how he fit the bill. However, his performance was very strong as he brought tons of energy and really got the crowd going. Finally, Dave 1 took the stage with his brother A-Trak watching from the side. Dave opened up a bit tight, but as the night went on he really got into it and loosened up. Dropping many tracks by his brother and Duck Sauce, the brothers malkovitch killed the set and made me even more excited to see chromeo in February

Big Boi at Terminal 5 - yes please!

by Anonymous on 12/26/10Terminal 5 - New York

Big Boi is an unbelievable performer, who doesn't do that many shows a year, and anyone lucky enough to see him would know, his sets are high-energy, crowd-pleasing, euphoria. Big Boi's career is truly unique, with all the Outkast songs and his excellent new album in 2010, and he played a lot of both old and new, sometimes going back and forth, but always with the intensity of the best in the game. He would do the first verse and chorus of a song, then jump right into another banging song and do the same, then over and over again for what felt like 10 minutes but was probably 7 or 8, stringing together 5 or 6 amazing songs. For the Outkast songs he wasn't held back by Andre 3000's absence, where Andre had sang the chorus it was just included in the track. I danced my pants off, had an amazing time, Big Boi is made for the stage, you could tell he was loving it.

The concert was really good. Big Boi was absolutely awesome. However, the place was packet with teenagers clad in no clothes. That definitely dropped the rating down. Other than that, the show was fantastic. Loved how fast the set changes were!

    Terrible Headliners

by Anonymous on 12/24/10Terminal 5 - New York

Summarily not worth the time / money. Calvin Harris would have made the show, but instead the VOCALIST from chromeo took to the turntables. What is worse is that his brother, the ultimate DJ, A-TRAK was just hovering around on stage instead of saving his brother from his awful set. As probably 80% of the crowd was under the age of 18 with little discernment over the playlist / would dance to anything, I'm sure Dave 1 came out thinking he did a hell of a job. Except somehow the crowd knew as people began chanting "A-TRAK! A-TRAK! A-TRAK!" when Dave1 was expecting his curtain call. Love chromeo, but dave needs to stick to the mic.

    Little Children

    by MusicFan1387 on 12/24/10Terminal 5 - New York

My first time being at the show like this and was far different than I exprected. 80% of the crowd was 14 yr old trashy girls & Douchey guys. Big Boi signaled for some girls to come on stage and none of them were above 16. Very strange. The show was pretty good, the opening act THE KNOCKS were great, they are true musicians who put on a good show. The venue cut them off so quickly unfortunatley, Check them out!

    A Brofested Experience

    by musicfan781 on 12/24/10Terminal 5 - New York

I was very excited to see Calvin Harris at terminal 5, however I had the bad luck of his cancellation. Calvin would have worked well because the drunk and/or coked out jocks and bro's would like the pop and my fellow house music lovers would get some crunchy beats. LA Riots had a little bit of that, but played to the crowd with some rap. Big Boi was fun for about two seconds, when all of the bro's started getting in everyones face and fighting or trying to start something. Really just an extremely low class crowd, even in the way they treated the girls (just staring at them like a piece of meat). Big Boi was not good at all in reality. The beats were mostly weak and the rap gimicky and spotty. I was quite happy when he was done and Dave One came on for a real dj set.... Or So I thought! Dave played some nice house music for about a half hour, then realized that all the bro's left the dance floor so he threw on a bunch of poor rap tracks. This got the bro stampede back onto the floor and basically watered down the beats that should have been even crunchy calvin harris stylings! Quite a poor experience overall, very disappointing.

    BIGGA -PLEASE- BOI

by REFUGE on 10/26/10Showbox SODO - Seattle

BIG BOI had an excellent stage prescence better than i have ever witnessed. However the sound was missing punchiness, and lacked dynamic frequency range. For 40$ this should not be an issue, and some of the staff was rude when asked simple questions.

Big Boi Put It Down at The Palms!

by Novelist73 on 10/21/10The Pool at the Palms - Las Vegas

Ok, first of all, my sister and I were almost denied entry to this show because we came late after coming there from another show, and by the time we got to this one, Will Call was closed. But thanks to my sister's arguing with the man about the Will Call being closed as to the reason why we couldn't get our tickets and he got tired of her, we were let in, LOL. Even though the venue wasn't as crowded as it was the last time we were at a show there, the vibe could be felt and I danced a lot more than I did at the show that I had come from. Since we came late, we only saw about the last 30-40 minutes of it, if even that. But it was a great show and our first time seeing Big Boi in concert. I loved how he sung a lot of his hit songs when he was with Outkast as well, which really had the crowd going! I will definitely go see him again and hopefully get to see the entire show because from what I able to see of it, it was great!
