Big Blue Madness Tickets

Our favorite parts of the nights were the dancers and the cheerleaders! They were fantastic!! However .... 2023's Big Blue Madness lacked the excitement of Madness in the past. I have been to many BBM in previous years and they were so much fun and really hyped us fans up to look forward to the upcoming season. This year was not the same. It seemed like they were just going thru the motions. Very disappointed when the alumni were mentioned that they did not walk across the court nor were they shown on the jumbo-tron overhead. Coach Cal didn't even make a good speech. It seemed like he was ready to go home early.

Crowd wanted to be into event, but structure was very disjointed and forced. Why not incorporate men’s and women’s teams in the three point contest together?

Beyond excited to have gotten tickets for the most anticipated event for Kentucky Basketball. We’ve watch on TV and could not wait to be a part of the excitement. We arrived, the 101 Club members were very helpful and greeted with excitement. The Super Nachos were “make your tongue slap your brains” delicious. Then…. It went a little downhill from there. It’s great to see the introductions of each player and was as expected but there was minimal “hype” from the point after that. The woman’s coach came into the building on a motorcycle and then seamed like she got lost cause the excitement was gone by the time she made it to the stage. Cal spoke for a few minutes and “dropped the mic” and then we proceeded to the 3 point contest. From only seeing it on TV I would assume some of the down time is eliminated by commercials and understandably so. But the “Hype” just didn’t seem to be there.

The atmosphere was electric, the seats were cheap and had a great view. The staff at Rupp Arena were kind and helpful. The experience was fun and energetic and is something I will definitely be back to experience again.

UK basketball is always great. Great atmosphere, great fans, great venue. Go big blue!

The newly renovated facility is awesome. The line to get in was not long and easy going to get in. People were really nice. So, as far as the event its self; the energy was sucked right out of that place. Not sure why. Maybe everyone was tired or maybe not that excited about the new team. Hard to say, but John Calipari didn't give much of a speak before they were introduced. This felt different and my girlfriend thought the same. I'm excited about this year's team and hope that Kentucky brings home another #9.

UK has all but killed the BBM campout over the past four years. This was something that we did great and is being strangled to death with limitations in size and length. Limiting households to two tickets? How can anyone take their family? Where were all the people that should have been in the empty seats? How many tickets are distributed outside of the general availability for fans? How many are given away by UK to people who don’t care to attend? BBM would be much better with an actual scrimmage with defense. Watching players attempt wide open dunks while defense clears out is boring, which is why people leave early. Too much down time when live and apparent lack of preparation on the production of the event itself. Is there any rehearsal? Introduce former players and identify them when showing crowd shots. Maybe have contests for the crowd. Involve fans in the evening to get them excited. Recognize the recruits in attendance somehow, especially if they just committed to UK on ESPN so people will know. Turn off the DJ after the introductions. Playing music throughout the contests and scrimmage discourages crowd participation. Changing rules for men’s 3-point contest midway through (what happened to the round two shoot-off between top 2 scorers?) and declaring a dunk contest champion who only completed one dunk is wrong. Love Toppin, but he should not have won. No energy from crowd. Why not have cheerleaders actually lead the crowd in cheers to get the crowd going like in high school? Our cheerleaders are great at stunts in their routine, but don’t really lead cheers. TV coverage is terrible with too much talking over the events happening on court. Then they cut away to go to a volleyball game?! Allow autographs afterward. People might stay and interact with the players more.

I was a bit let down with the performance. The mc’s were mediocre and didn’t really get the crown in to it.

The crowd was low energy. Took a lot of excitement out of the event. Not as much fun as previous years.

I joined the queue before the sale started but after 20 minutes I get a message that no more tickets are available. I tried again and got nose bleed seats. I noticed a large number of empty seats, and I suspect many were resold and scalped. It is so disappointing, unethical and dishonest

In the past years it was awesome, this year was meh. Felt as if they weren't prepared. Lots of downtime, nothing in seats, show just started with no "get ready" speech. Been to better, I have to say. Still made the best of it, though.

Wasn’t happy that I was on right as it started and I checked an hour before I had to get my ticket to make sure I could log on and had everything ready like it said and I got kicked out saying it couldn’t purchase it that something went wrong by the time I got back on after it made me log back in and be in line there wasn’t any. Disappointed with the new set up go back to the way it was in 2019 on here

Great time, atmosphere, and day trip!! Seemed well organized, I got there early enough to not have traffics issues, as well as route leaving. Great venue and experience.

Rupp Arena was at it's finest!oved zeeing rhe Sea of Blue!!! Everyone was helpful and pleasant! Parking was easy, all arpund AWESOME TRIP TO RUPP!!!

The ease of using Ticketmaster was unbelievable. I really like the process and will use again for my entertainment needs.

I wish we could’ve camped out and then got our tickets but it’s always great to get to go to the Madness

Went to Big Blue Madness in Lexington and it was awesome!! I had never been to an arena and Rupp Arena has got to be one of the best!! Me and my fiancé cannot wait to go see a UK game there and hopefully a concert someday, too. Didn’t have one problem with our tickets and I didn’t know to put them in my Apple wallet just in case the wifi was messed up at Rupp. That was a helpful tip! It was a great night with my favorite person. We had a blast!
