    Good times

by ValleyChick on 8/12/11Club Nokia - Los Angeles

This was my 2nd time seeing BAD. They put on a high energy show with two encores, and Mick entertained the crowd with his song intros. I'm only giving 4 stars because they were musically sloppy on a few occasions.

    BAD re-energized

by DareToBeTrue on 8/12/11Club Nokia - Los Angeles

Even though the songs and lyrics of Big Audio Dynamite would be enough reason to see them, the fact is they bring it live. And bring it passionately. Mick Jones' time in the Clash is obviously something that influences his live ethic. For those in the crowd content merely tripping down memory lane, it was a good deal more.

    Big Audio Dynamite

Mick Jones (lead guitar player for The Clash) was awesome. While the music is of course from a previous era, there is nothing old about how he performs and the musical quality of the set and the band. Mick Jones song writing, performance, singing and guitar playing is incredible. Great show, must see for anyone who knows about music.

Come on and dim the lights - it's party time

by JoeInLA on 8/12/11Club Nokia - Los Angeles

This concert was incredible. I have been a fan since 1985, and bought "This is BAD" on cassette. I last saw Mick Jones and BAD II live in 1992. I actually he is getting better. His voice, guitar work, and energy were electric. Don Letts and Leo "EZ Kill" were awesome too. Expect to hear a lot from the first two albums.

"Spread the News the Maestro's back!"

by AndyKofHB on 8/12/11Club Nokia - Los Angeles

A little over 25 years after forming, Big Audio Dynamite are playing a North American tour that should not be missed. Playing 14 songs during a 90 minute set, B.A.D. played songs off of their first 4 albums. The crowd was diverse from young teens to a 40-something man that tried to get on stage during their encore. Mick looked like he was having the time of his life, smiling throughout every song and strutting around the stage. If you squinted your eyes a bit you would swear you were watching him during an early Clash show. Between songs he exchanged comments with the audience and bandmate Don Letts. With the roller coaster ride the stock market has seen the last couple of days it was appropriate to hear Mick singing...."A dance to the tune of economic decline" during "The Bottom Line." Wearing a suit, Jones looked like an elderstatesman of the punk/reggae/hip-hop, funk style he pioneered and developed. During E=MC2 Jones sang, "Spread the News the Maestros back...." Amen to that!

    Solid Performance

by vfxrtist on 8/12/11Club Nokia - Los Angeles

Seeing Big Audio Dynamite, it was as if they had never gone away. They were as amazing as ever. Mick Jones' sense of humor and rapport with the audience was great! When it came down to the music…unbelievable! Their sound and performance was super solid!

The sound mix was just ok...possibly Club Nokia problem more than BAD. Show was a bit short. Nokia is a comfortable place to see a show.

    B.A.D are awesome!

by SiouxsieSioux on 8/8/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

This concert was great. The opening band was good, which is rare. Mick Jones was great, his voice and attitude were awesome. The band sounds so good, they sure were having fun, as was the audience. I will see them whenever they are around, a pleasure to watch! What a performance! Dan D was not there- but still, very very good concert. I got to meet the band afterwards, and they were super nice and down to earth. B.AD. rocked!

    BAD Was Far From it!

by RLWJR on 8/7/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Unexpectedly high energy show that was out and out fun! Great fusion of Punk influence with late-80's Dance overtones makes it music with a meaning that's impossible not to move along with. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Thank God for great live bands!

by groovyhousewife on 8/6/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

We drove 3 hours to see Big Audio Dynamite in Philly and they were definitely worth the trip! They are still fantastic live! If all bands had live shows as good as BAD's, the world would be a better place!

    Big Audio Dynamite 2011

by Strummer441 on 8/6/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Best concert I've ever been to! I'm too young to have ever seen The Clash, so seeing Mick Jones perform with B.A.D. was amazing! You could tell how much the entire band enjoys performing and the energy Mick and Don had was awesome. Before the show we met Don Letts. We started talking and then he escorted me and my gf backstage to meet Mick Jones. He was more than willing to take pictures, talk and sign autographs for us. Greatest night ever!

    Big Audio Dynamite

by keef1966 on 8/6/11The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

The show was incredible. Fantastic energy, with bass & drum pounding out a massive sound that hit you in the chest and rattled your heart. Mick was friendly and the and his mates appeared to be having a great time. We had a great time too, one couldn't help but dance from the first crack on the snare and kick of the bass drum to the final beat of "Rush." Eliminating much of the sampling and superb playing and high energy from the band allowed the raw energy of the music to came through. Most enjoyable show and great to see Mick Jones again.

The performance was smashing; great live presentation, high energy, good maintenance of the 'produced' elements of B.A.D. (i.e., sampling etc.) without detracting from a good live delivery. The sound in the Electric factory was rather poor- way too much low end in the mix, and some of the sharp guitar was mushed, especially up close to the stage. Otherwise, fabulous.

Big Audio Dynamite Awesome Show at Roseland!

    by BrooklynRocker1 on 5/9/11Roseland - NYC

Big Audio Dynamite played a great show at Roseland tonight. I hadn't seen BAD in about 20 years and they were in fine form. It was great in particular to see front man Mick Jones. He is a fine guitarist. Watching him made me think of all those great riffs he did on those early Clash (his first and better known band) that rip through you like a buzzsaw. This was pretty much the original line up of BAD which included famed film maker Don Letts (Third World Cop). They performed many of my favorites including E=MC2, Bottom Line, and Rush. How time goes by. I realized that is was just 30 years ago that I saw Mick and his mates in the Clash perform just a few blocks from Roseland at Bonds. They played over two weeks of shows at Bonds which was unheard of. That Clash on Broadway. Great Show Mick .

BAD AUDIO @ Big Audio Dynamite

by Ted1081 on 5/9/11Roseland Ballroom - New York

The band put on a good show but the sound, especially at the beginning of the show, was terrible. We were standing just to the right of the board so it wasn’t due to our location. We enjoyed ourselves despite the crappy quality of the audio. I hope they hit the NY area again if the decide to return to the US
