BETH HART IN CONCERT:

For more than two decades, blues singer-songwriter Beth Hart has been moving audiences with her soulful voice, heartrending lyrics, and finely crafted songs about love and loss. Hart is a storyteller of the first order, delivering world-wise songs like "LA Song (Out of This Town)" and "Leave the Light On" with an honesty and intensity that make her concerts an unforgettable experience. Whether she's sharing the stage with legendary guitarist Joe Bonamassa or playing with her supremely talented band, Hart is a world-class performer whose passionate and confessional live shows satisfy on every level.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Beth Hart was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, where she began playing the club scene in her early twenties. In 1993 she made several appearances on Ed McMahon's Star Search, going on to win the season's Female Vocalist prize thanks to her emotive voice and heart-on-sleeve performances. That same year she released her debut album Beth Hart and the Ocean of Souls, an auspicious collection of songs that featured the fan favorite "Am I the One". She put together a band for 1996's Immortal, and in 1999 the lineup achieved breakthrough success with the album Screaming for My Supper. The record's lead single "LA Song (Out of This Town)" cracked the Top 5 on the soft rock charts and reached No. 1 in New Zealand. Hart continued to work with a rotating lineup of musicians on subsequent releases including 2003's Leave the Light On and 2007's 37 Days. In 2013 she and Joe Bonamassa topped the Blues Albums chart with Seesaw, a critically acclaimed collaboration that earned a Best Blues Album nomination at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

    1st intimate Beth Concert

by RealLongTimeFan on 10/28/14Chameleon Club - Lancaster

I saw her with Jeff Beck at a big venue and as a warm up for Foreigner. this was first small venue. Drove from Detroit area to seen her. 10 hours each way. Worth the trip. Think I will take the train to Chicago to see her there.

    Beth Hart not entertaining

    by Jackie2222 on 10/28/14Chameleon Club - Lancaster

Perhaps its age, but myself, wife, and another couple were quite disappointed in Beth Hart's performance. I was hoping to see the sultry Beth Hart in an evening gown singing her soulful renditions of the blues. Instead, we saw a crazy rocker jumping around the stage like some grunge rock act. Her voice, her gift, is too good for that. The venue, Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA is definitely not the place for that night's performance - the extremely loud music bounced off the walls and made it uncomfortable for the "mature" crowd that was in attendance. The Chameleon Club is a fine place for what it is. Ms. Hart's potty-mouth did not help.

Beth Hart gives an incredible performance

    by pra1 on 10/28/14Chameleon Club - Lancaster

The whole experience was different. The club was an old warehouse and you stood the entire time. The crowd was middle-aged. All very different from what I expected or had experienced before. The lead in act was terrible. Fortunately they didn't stay on stage too long or this crowd may have revolted. Then Beth came on and it all changed. What a voice that woman has and what an incredible performance she provides. I would guess she was on stage for two hours without any break, and what a two hours it was. My personal favorite is "Blind Girl" which was her closing act.

    Great performance, terrible venue...

by Anonymous on 10/28/14Chameleon Club - Lancaster

Beth Hart and her band were great and very entertaining, although the show could have been longer with more of her older material. Her voice is just as good as it was in the late 90's when we last saw her. The Chameleon Club, however, is the absolute worst place I have ever seen a show. Much too small to even attempt to handle an artist with the kind of following Beth Hart has. This was my first time there and I will never be back - no matter who is scheduled to appear. Cramped, poorly set-up, might be OK for small local acts, but they should not even try to book national acts.

    Beth Hart was amazine

by indijnki on 10/28/14Chameleon Club - Lancaster

The venue was a bit odd, you stand in a line to get in, and then have to wait again in a not so formal line to enter the actual venue. Sound was ok, Beth Hart rocked through trouble with the keyboard, and sound levels - didn't miss a beat, high energy and the sold out crowd gave 100% back!

    Not enough! Amazing surprise!

by Pubster on 9/3/13The Trop - Atlantic City

Went to see the Rides with Steven Stills. Beth Hart was the opening act. Without a doubt she stole the show! Her voice was amazing. Within 3 minutes she had the audience who knew they were listening to someone very special. She got a standing ovation at the end of her set ! I have seen a lot of high profile performers throughout my 62 years. I was awe struck by her talent. There is no way this talent should be an opening act for any one! Following her is like a rain storm following a tornado!

    by Markyn on 7/8/13Birchmere - Alexandria, VA - Thu, May 9, 2013 - Alexandria

I drove 400 miles for this and if I knew what I was in for would have gladly drove 800. I have seen Elvis, Stevie Ray Vaughan and everyone else in between and she was THAT good!~!! Never..have I seen the energy, stage presence and flawless, energized performance that I saw that night. There aint enough stars on this to rate her; just unreal.

    Beth Hart

by Bigbethhartfan on 7/5/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Awesome performance by this multi-talented musician!! She works hard to give you a great show and clearly loves to engage with the audience. I never knew that she played guitar until this show. Can't wait to see her again.

    Awesome, as always

by BethHartFan on 5/13/13The Birchmere - Alexandria

I was fortunate to see Beth for the 7th time on May 9th. It was the first time since 2000, but she still puts on an amazing show. She has one of the best voices around. If you have the opportunity to see her, GO, you will not be disappointed. I only wish that she did more touring of the US, but it appears that Europe treats her better. My wife and I drove 2 1/2 hours to see her, but that wasn't much of a drive compared to other people we met. There was a couple that drove from Boston and a guy who drove from Wilmington, NC.

    Beth Hart at the Birchmere

by JohnboyFX on 5/13/13Birchmere - Alexandria

I have always been a Beth Hart fan and thus talked 3 friends into attending with me even though they knew little about her. Beth first came onto stage with a low cut black dress and dark hose looking fabulous. She started off as the lead singer then progressed to a keyboard solo then back to the band where she played guitar. When she finished her show there was no doubt the crowd would not let her out without an encore. She came back doing a keyboard solo that floored the audience. I loved every moment of the concert by the way she mixed things up. My friends thanked me all the way home. If you haven't seen her in concert find a way to make that happen.

    great show

by DoreysDad on 5/12/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Beth Hart was stellar - powerful voice, a passion for what she does, and a great showman (show woman). It was a bonus to hear Patty Reese perform - I had never heard her name before I went to the concert. The only downside was paying almost $8 in the "waiting area" for stale chips, and salsa that tasetd more like tomato soup.

Beth and her band were nothing short of AWESOME!

    by CMan1234 on 5/12/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Never in my life have I been to a performance during which the performers were so "connected" to the audience. Beth was so personal both during and after the show. The show itself was awesome! They sounded great and didn't miss a note anywhere! If you have never seen Beth and her band - THEY ARE A MUST SEE! Also, I highly recommend her older albums too - especially "Immortal", "Leave the Light On" and "Live in Paradisio"!

Beth Hart is a force of nature!

    by Burke25 on 5/11/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Terrific show! Beth was on time, high energy and her voice sounded great! Her band was tight and showed just how talented they are. It was easy to see and hear why she sells out show after show. Truly wish she visited more often.

    What an amazing night!

by HNMjpg on 5/11/13Birchmere - Alexandria

Beth Hart is everything you think she is, and more. I knew she could blast the blues and that she has an incredible voice, but what I did not know is that she is funny, sexy, vulnerable, intense, jazzy, bluesy, folksy and handles every genre with equal talent. She is a fantastic keyboardist, and a great guitarist. If this doesn't get you to beg, steal or borrow to get a ticket, let me just say she is one of the best interpreters of a song I have heard in years. She rocks a rough blues like nobody's business and sings softly and convincingly in a love song. Whether she wrote the song or she is doing an old standard, Beth makes every note and every word her own. She was backed by a tight, masterful band whom she trusts to wail but never cover her spectacular voice.

    Amazing voice!

by Bluesmandan on 5/11/13Birchmere - Alexandria

We discovered Beth Hart from a song she sang on Slash's solo album. We then started listening to her own material and became instant fans. However her recorded material, while excellent, does not do her as much justice as hearing her perform live. We are veterans of live performances and have seen the best of the best. That said, Beth hart was one of the best performers that we have ever seen. Her voice is simply amazing!

Beth Hart... Waiting for her to come back!

    by Taboo1099 on 5/11/13Birchmere - Alexandria

What can I say about Beth Hart other than she has one of the best voices I have ever heard and she is even more mesmerizing in person. I recommend that anyone who has the chance to see her in concert do so, you won't be disappointed..
