BETH HART IN CONCERT:

For more than two decades, blues singer-songwriter Beth Hart has been moving audiences with her soulful voice, heartrending lyrics, and finely crafted songs about love and loss. Hart is a storyteller of the first order, delivering world-wise songs like "LA Song (Out of This Town)" and "Leave the Light On" with an honesty and intensity that make her concerts an unforgettable experience. Whether she's sharing the stage with legendary guitarist Joe Bonamassa or playing with her supremely talented band, Hart is a world-class performer whose passionate and confessional live shows satisfy on every level.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Beth Hart was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, where she began playing the club scene in her early twenties. In 1993 she made several appearances on Ed McMahon's Star Search, going on to win the season's Female Vocalist prize thanks to her emotive voice and heart-on-sleeve performances. That same year she released her debut album Beth Hart and the Ocean of Souls, an auspicious collection of songs that featured the fan favorite "Am I the One". She put together a band for 1996's Immortal, and in 1999 the lineup achieved breakthrough success with the album Screaming for My Supper. The record's lead single "LA Song (Out of This Town)" cracked the Top 5 on the soft rock charts and reached No. 1 in New Zealand. Hart continued to work with a rotating lineup of musicians on subsequent releases including 2003's Leave the Light On and 2007's 37 Days. In 2013 she and Joe Bonamassa topped the Blues Albums chart with Seesaw, a critically acclaimed collaboration that earned a Best Blues Album nomination at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

    Exhilarating Performance

    by A&B-T&A on 5/8/22Carolina Theatre - Durham

One of the best live performances that I have ever seen... There isn't another artist on the planet more willing to be as emotionally raw, open, or giving to their audience. Regardless of your seat in the venue, she has the ability to make you feel like she is talking and relating directly to you. Also, it helps to be at a wonderfully intimate venue like the Carolina Theatre. The song list was varied and diverse. Overall... An Awesome show.

Best of the year so far in Charleston

by Marty on 5/6/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Beth was on. Her voice was as strong as ever and her exuberance emanated throughout the building. She carried the crowd though many mellow self respective ballads to her totally rocking Zeppelin covers and I’d rather go blind encore. She needs to put Charleston as a stop on every tour. We enjoyed her and I believe she enjoyed us.

    Beth Hart

by Seahorse on 5/6/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Beth Hart has an awesome voice and her vocals and piano solos were incredible. Her song selection was very disappointing. We have had 3 cancelled concerts due to COVID and we were so excited to finally be able to attend but we’re surprised and let down that so many of her original songs were not included in her playlist. She is so talented and a great songwriter which is what we were really wanting to hear.

by Sodapoppingmama on 5/6/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Beth is so amazing!! From meeting her outside to hear her perform. The band was awesome also! Can't wait to see her again. It was the highlight of both my husband and I concert experiences! Thank you Beth and band for your talent and personality!

    Unique

by Gabby on 5/6/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

What an extremely talented lady. Gritty, sexy voice, yet vulnerable. Beth took control of the stage as though it were her own living room, kicking off her shoes, sitting cross legged while talking to the audience. Sweet sad songs while playing the piano or rocking it out with her remarkable band. Wish I could see again. My new favorite artist!

    Beth Hart Knocked Me Out!

by Mike on 5/6/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

From her entrance until the last note was played Beth Hart gave everything she had to the audience. Could not believe her range of music - blues, rock, jazz, delta, gospel - and her skill at the piano. Her band backed her up to perfection - bass, guitar and drummer - all spot on. There were times when she was tearing my head off and times where she was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. She also dealt with some distractions from the crowd with grace and kindness. I'm 64 years old, been to hundreds of concerts, and this was, by far, the best show I have ever seen. She told many great stories in between songs. I could go on and on....go see her. That's it!

    Unusual and cold

by Gonzo on 5/4/22The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater - Miami Beach

She was hard to see at times when she was sitting or rolling around on the floor. Sound was OK and the band was good and visible. Please lower the air conditioner, I had goose bumps the size of strawberries.
