Awesome, awesome, awesome. I love to hear these guys play and they love playing for the audience. When Steve Cole came out the amphitheater was half full. Cole rocked it out like the amphitheater was full. He was awesome.
The show was fantastic. Venue was perfect, there is not a bad seat at the Mable House.
All of the Artist were great! I really like enjoy Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. They need to have more old school and jazz concerts starting in April through mid-October.
I really enjoyed the Smooth summer nights. It was a great time, with great jazz and venue.
Steve Cole, Eric Darius, Brian Simpson, and Kim Waters gave great performances, as expected, but I had to comment on the Mable House Amphitheater. This was my first time there, and I will be actively looking for future shows at this venue. The seats were great and I was surprised that the entire reserved seating area was covered. We were cool and dry during a rainfall. Loved it! An added bonus was the ease at which we entered and exited the parking area. The FREE parking area. This was a great venue and the fans of smooth jazz are always a great group to be around: fun, friendly and classy.
I've attended many Wade Ford Jazz Series concerts, but this one was my least favorite because of Ben Tankard. He talked wayyyyy more than he played. And calling his loud wife and grandchild to the stage was so annoying. We paid money to hear jazz, not your life story and some lame jokes. And to abruptly stop playing and walk off the stage was very rude. Even the band was looking at each other as to say "WTH"??
It was a wonderful evening. The weather was just right, the venue was awesome. Great music. Eric and Brian was terrific and Steve Cole was on point. Kim was great. Ben did too much talking and not enough playing. It took some steam out of the lineup. But overall it was a great event.
The entire Concert was awesome! All the Entertainers were Great, the atmosphere and weather was beautiful. It's wonderful to meet other people sitting close by and grooving to the music. I recommend Wade Ford Jazz Concert to every Jazz lover.
All of the artist were great, but what made Brian Simpson and Eric Darius so unforgettable was how they complimented one another so well. You could tell they had played together before and knew how to play off each other. It was a great show!
