  • Ben Rector is a god

by Marilyj on 10/7/13Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I think that Ben Rector is one of the best performers I have ever seen at the Ryman. And I have been to several. He is very low key and has an amazing stage presence. His music sounds so great in the auditorium. DEFINITELY think you guys need to have him back.

  • Amazing

by Anonymous on 10/7/13Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Seriously one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Raw talent from both acts- Tyrone Wells and Ben Rector. Great music in a great venue. I sat up in the balcony and they were still awesome seats!

  • Best All-around concert I've ever been to!

by Anonymous on 10/7/13Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I had a blast, you could feel it in the air, there was something different and personal and exponential about this concert. Opener was crazy good and Ben Rector literally tore the place down with how good he was!

  • BEN RECTOR KILLED IT

    by NTB14 on 10/7/13Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was so pumped for Ben Rector on Friday! His first time playing at the Ryman in Nashville and he sold it out! It was so cool to be apart of a big moment in his life, and it was obvious he was excited about it! I will without a doubt be attending another one of his shows! Also, I was pretty excited that Cody Fry had such a large part of the show. Being a Nashville native, I have seen Cody play and grow through a ministry at Brentwood Baptist Church and I am so pumped for him that he is apart of such an amazing production and show that is put on by Ben Rector and the band that is with him. Great show and would absolutely recommend this to EVERYONE!

Incredible show. Ben was so happy to be there and he completely rocked it. Tyrone Wells was amazing as well.

  • I loved Ben Rector!

by Anonymous on 10/7/13Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time, but it was very frustrating to me that people would not stand up in the balcony. Ben Rector is one of my favorite singer-songwriters and his music makes you want to dance. People were making me feel uncomfortable when I was trying to stand up and enjoy his music. It was obvious that musicians like when their audience stands up and Ben even told everyone to stand.

Ben Rector was absolutely incredible! The only possible complaint about the show would be that it was too short; I don't think anyone wanted it to end. The lighting, music, Tyrone Wells, acoustics, atmosphere and audience were fantastic. I would definitely recommend the show and come back.

  • Ben Rector rocked the Ryman!

by AngelaMarieSurvant on 10/7/13Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The performance was amazing! Bring Ben back! The opening number, Tyrone Wells, was also great! I wouldn't have changed anything about the concert! Grade "A"!

Ben was able to blow the audience out of the water and still be relational with the crowd.

Ben Rector is a fantastic entertainer! Tyrone Wells was amazing too, both are great singers/songwriters!

  • Ben Rector . The bargain of the year.

I would have to say that any regular concert goer that missed Ben Rector wednesday night should feel cheated. You have probably spent hundreds of dollars on other shows that would be hard pressed to match Ben's show. Starting with an incredible opening act , in one of the best venues around , to one of the least expensive tickets to be had. What a night. As a musician and more so a sound man, that was the best sound quality that i have heard in a long time. Usually you hope they get all of the bugs out on the opening act and it sounds pretty good by the latter part of the main act. In this case they were spot on from start to finish. I was blown away by the opening act, Tyrone Wells. A very strong sound for 3 guys. 45 minutes was not quite enough for me. Can't wait to see him as a headliner. Then there was Ben Rector. Wow. I kept making comparisons all night to other great acts. Mostly he reminds me of Ben Folds, only with a great voice. He surrounded himself with some amazing talent. It seemed like everyone on stage could front their own band, but why would you if you were having so much fun in Ben's band. Great lyrics. Smart timing. They were having so much fun on stage that it spilled across the entire Pageant floor. I still can't believe that the tickets were so cheap. I took my daughter for her 20th birthday and would have gladly paid much more. She will return the favor in a couple weeks when we see ZZ Ward with opening act Wild Feathers at the Firebird. Folks, don't miss that one either. Enjoy what Stl. has to offer . bradguitar

  • Good

by BigDaddyPops on 5/4/13The Sinclair - CambridgeRating: 3 out of 5

Decent concert-- he played to the audience in a the way the love-child of a crooner and Jack Johnson should. Props for rocking a bow-tie. The highlight was the opener-- Alpha Rev. Good concert, but the wrong band opened.

One of, if not the best, concert I've ever been to. Including the opening band, Alpha Rev- who played a brilliant cover of Hallelujah.
