Great show, a lot off the new album I didn't know but am looking forward to hearing! Was very interactive with the audience which I love!

    About time for a reunion!

by Sasspantsjes on 9/19/12Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

The Ben Folds Five show was amazing. The opening act - Kate Miller-Heidke was fantastic as well. I really enjoyed her show and her voice was wonderful. Ben Folds Five played several tracks from their new album, and a lot of older crowd favorites. Everyone was singing along and there is not a bad seat in the Ryman. Everyone was surprised when Wayne Coyne (of Flaming Lips) and Ke$ha joined BF5 on stage, but that was great as well. It was certainly a different side of Ke$ha than I have ever seen. If I ever get the chance to see Ben Folds Five, or even Ben Folds solo again, I will certainly go.

Ben Folds Five was amazing -- the VIP seats howevr

by Peformalosophos on 9/18/12Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New York

The show was great. The band is legendary. My only complaint was that the upsell of VIP seats ended up being not very VIP. They were farther back and $20 more expensive. This makes no sense. I get that being able to sit is an added bonus but not worth the misleading price of the ticket.

Brought back great memories from the 90s

by bokomaru on 9/17/12Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New York

It took the band about 1/3 of the show to get into a rhythm, but the last 2/3rds of the show were really fun. it was fun to see the band performing together again. only complaints are that the show was really short, especially given how expensive the tickets were. the show brought back lots of memories. i wish it had been better promoted because it felt kind of empty at the venue.

I stood 25 feet away from Ben Folds. Could see his fingers fly all over the place. Amazing musicianship, good mix of banter and improv, once in a lifetime experience.

It was a great show! The tickets were a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and we both enjoyed it immensely. Ben Folds Five is a great band, and you can tell they put a lot of work into their set lists.

    The five is back!!

by Emaline284 on 9/17/12Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New York

This concert has been a long time coming for me personally and Ben Folds Five definitely delivered! The band was tight and it was so cool just to see how they fed off of each other. I would've given 5 stars had it not been for the fact that the show began promptly at 6:00 and ended at 9:00! This fact would have been fine had I not had to work that day. Needless to say, my party arrived 15 mins into BF5's set and completely missed the opening act! I do wish that the show went on for longer, I walked out of there wanting more, but I suppose I can get that when the new album drops. The venue is pretty cool offering a good selection of beer, wine and food. Overall, decent spot, amazing band!!

    Good Performance, Lame Crowd

by Anonymous on 9/16/12Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New York

The band really brought it. They were really fluid, which was impressive, considering how they've been apart for so long. Their only flub was towards the end, and they took that as an opportunity to jam, which was a cool experience. The crowd, on the other hand, was kind of apathetic until at least halfway through. I was really disappointed with people talking over songs, and even over Ben's jokes in between songs. Why pay $50 to NOT listen to the concert? Many (maybe most) of the fans were engaged and excited to see such a rare reunion, but the bored minority really detracted from my experience.

So good to see Ben, Darren, and Robert back together! They are incredible and seemed to be having so much fun it was contagious. Lots of the classics as well as some from their new album, which promises to be excellent.

    Ben Folds Five was awesome.

by tnaps on 9/16/12Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New York

Seeing Ben Folds Five was definitely worth my money. The venue was nice and I had a good spot. Kate Miller-Heidke was an incredible opening act, too. Of course, the highlight of the night was the Ben Folds Five themselves. Their amazing talent and energy made the night one to remember. This concert really demonstrated the wonderful musical talent of Ben Folds, Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee. Their combiniation of new and old was very balanced, and their new stuff was VERY good. I would DEFINITELY see them again.

Concert sounded good. However, I wish there was a stated time when the main act started. The only time I could find was the time when the opening act started. There should be a time listed for both.

    Disappointed

by Anonymous on 9/16/12Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New York

Ben both went on and ended very early...he was walking off stage (after the encore) before 8:45. I've seen him many times before and always had a blast, this was a really disappointing experience.
