We usually really enjoy seeing Ben Folds not only because of his music but because he is such a great entertainer overall. The band had one spontaneous and hilarious musical moment, but we just didn't see that side of him nearly as much at this concert, and it really lost something because of it.

Ben Folds Five Keep Rockin' It

by TeeRyan on 1/27/13Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

An amazing show. They sounded even better live than they did 15 years ago. Played a solid 19 song set with a good amount of fan interaction. You could tell they were having fun. It was like college all over for me, but everyone was a little fatter, older, grayer... I would highly recommend seeing BFF if you are vaguely interested in their music. A great time for sure!

Fantastic show by Ben Folds Five!!!

by tx01atc on 1/27/13Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Great show! Ben always puts on a fantastic performance and this time was no exception. Wesat in a box just right of the stage, (as viewed from the audience) and had a great view and great sound. We can't wait to see Ben again....

    A simple yet unforgettable concert!

by detourcentral on 1/27/13Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

I was unable to catch BF5 before they broke up so I was excited to see them now. I was not disappointed. I've been to concerts that were inundated with special effects (which was awesome) and I had gotten used to it that I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this, but I was proven wrong. The setup was simple and one wouldn't know Ben Folds Five would be playing until they would came out. They don't need special effects to make a good concert .. just them rocking out like they've always been. I was happy with their mix of old and new songs. It flowed nicely and wished they could've played longer.

    5 minus 2 equals 0

by WeekendChief on 1/27/13Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

The "Ben Folds Five" was actually the Ben Folds THREE. The three tried to make up for quality by raising the volume. What they actually got was mud and distortion. I know the music was in there somewhere, but we couldn't find it. My wife and I walked out after the third song.

This show was incredible! The sound was fantastic, and there was a ton of energy onstage. I loved when Ben created a song to the creeper watching us from his window. I'll look for the title - Lonely Silhouette - on his next album.

Ben and the boys were on fire this Saturday night! Wish I had seen them when they first came to town back in the 90's, but this show will do just fine! Great venue, Great Show!

    The Five Returns!

by MrMike51 on 10/9/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Cards on the table, this was my 8th time seeing Ben Folds in some way shape or form. I had seen him with Ben Folds Five a few months prior, so the setlist was virtually the same with regards to his older catalog of music. The exception was the new songs from the Five's new album. Don't get me wrong, I love the new album, but the beginning of the show was a bit of a snooze. They alternated new and old songs, which was great when songs like "Magic" were played, but the crowd reaction was mixed, at best. The lowpoint came when for some reason, they decided to play "Landed" which was a Ben Folds solo song. Everybody seems to know that song when you ask if they know Ben Folds. I saw it as a bit of a copout, but regardless loved the show because of the nerd thunder Ben Folds brings to any show he plays. I will always go and see him when he is in Chicago.

    Ben Folds FABULOUS Five

by mamaschwegs on 10/5/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

GREAT concert! Not wild about the opening act, however, it was an non-issue after Ben and the boys took the stage! Wonderful music! Glad they got back together, as I have seen Ben Folds many times, by himself. Loved it with "the FIve"!

Ben Folds Five fantastic; venue seats only problem

by DrPookie on 10/4/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

As promised, Ben Folds Five delivered an amazing show. Incredible musicianship, relaxed/casual show structure and overall felt like drinking buddies sharing incredible music for you in an intimate setting. Opening act was memorable, as well. As a venue, the Orpheum overall was great. In the front balcony section, however, it is very difficult for any person over 6 feet in height to have a comfortable seated position. I am 6' 2" and when seated with my buttocks as far back as I could sit, my shins were digging into the top edge of the seats in front of me. Aside from this one issue, the venue is amazing.

    Great show

by Vinbone on 10/4/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Even after many years apart, the Five can still rock the house. They mixed their new and old material well. I was most happy to walk away from the concert feeling like it was a Ben Fold Five set, and not a Ben Folds plus the friends he used to play with set. Only one tune from Fold's solo career: Landed, which somehow had way more energy than when Folds did it solo.

They were great. I wasn't sure, after such a long hiatus, that their show would be great, but it far exceeded expectations. A lot of fun and entertaining. I'd definitely go see them again!

    Wow!!

by mathmother on 10/4/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The concert was incredible! Ben amazes me again with his piano playing and lyrics. I have seen Ben in concert 5 times, but this is the first time I have seen Ben Folds Five. Excellent harmony and they were all funny. The crowd stood through the entire concert and I sang every song with them and I am sure I wasn't the only one hoarse the next day. I give it a 10+ out of 10!

    Great BF5 Show!

by rememorable on 10/3/12Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

This was an awesome show! Ben Folds Five is back and better than ever. They played a great mix of old and new music and even one track from a Ben Folds solo album. The seats from the balcony of the Orpheum were unbelievable. Opening act was great as well (Kate Miller-Heidke) I highly recommend this show!
