Overall it was well done but some little things added up for me! For example, the beast was one of the shortest people on the stage when he's supposed to be "8, maybe 10 ft tall!!". Also, the library scene which, in my opinion, is a huge part of the movie since Belle is so into books, was a disappointment. It was one tiny bookshelf. They couldn't have a backdrop of books?? Seemed lame to me. Lumier and the duster were extremely sketchy for a kids play, I thought, and the forks and spoons were basically naked when they turned around! Also the beasts roar was pathetic...and was the same recorded roar every time. There were many funny scenes also though. Belle was cast perfectly! Great voice match!! Many of the characters were very well done and overall the play was great. There were just so many little things that I felt like would've been easy fixes. Lion King on Broadway was better!

This musical was absolutely fantastic! Leave early if you are attending Centennial Hall because parking is awful....I can't stress that enough!

This play was one of the best I've seen in awhile. The actors were charismatic, humorous, were easy to understand due to perfect diction and had excellent voices!

Beautiful and not at all Beastly

    by JenH71 on 12/17/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

Wonderful costumes, great staging, good music and fine actresses and actors made this a great production , It was engaging from the beginning to the end, Disney spares no expense on it’s lavish productions, I recommend seeing it if you have a chance, The plot is not quite what I expected but still followed the theme of Beauty transforming the Beast to a Prince through love. And it seemed to have a little of Cinderella,a little of Snow White and even Alice in Wonderland,So a mixture went into the production but it did not take away from it ,We enjoyed it immensely

    Fantastic Play!

    by m2l2 on 12/17/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

One of the best plays we've ever seen! We're transplanted New Yorkers and are hard to please. If it comes back, we'd definitely go see it again.

I have never been to play/musical before. I was so totally consumed by the actors and scenes! I got so engrossed that I didn't notice when the scenes changed. It was beautiful! I will be looking forward to attending more events in the future.

    by ljr724 on 12/17/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

Beauty and the Beast in Tucson was terrific! I took my daughter and 2 granddaughters and we all had a great time and enjoyed the play... PS... Belle was our favorite in the play, and the actress that played her sounded exactly like the original!

I really enjoyed how true the show was to the Disney film, but could have done without a lot of the filler songs that weren't in the movie. The guy that played the Beast was not very tall, which made him seem more werewolf than beast, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

    Beauty and the Beast

by Light on 12/17/14Centennial Hall - Tucson

The play was a little disappointing in that the costumes were lacking the grandness and glitter we were hoping to see in a live play. The solo dance was not as magical as the movie and the grandeur of Belle's meal in "Be our Guest" was also disappointing as there was no large table nor grand props.
