Great place for a basketball game, plus my team WON
There are no bad seats at this arena - and the games were all fantastic. Well played by all teams!
good game great price and providence won and someone has minimum character requirement
Great basketball teams. Good arena, easy to see anywhere. Good prices for two games with such quality teams. However, food service was terrible - ran out of food early in first game of afternoon session, very long lines that did not move, not enough concession stands were open.
Good matchups - Carolina/Richmond and Louisville/Fairfield. Nice size arena. Could still see well from the nosebleeds. Unfotunately, the arena grossly underestimated how hungry the fans would be during the 12 pm - 4 pm time slot. Not nearly enough food. Couldn't bring food in from the restaurants outside the arena. My review would have been higher, but for this issue.
First time user ... Ticket at retail price + reasonable service fee + nice venue + great game = a good time had by all Seat location was fine. Moved to be with other family
Not a bad seat in the house. The venue was not prepared properly with food on a Day One but the hoop action was great.
Good Game, Nice Location, Reasonable Price. I would consider going again in 2014
Since I was flying solo for this game, I scored an individual seat right next to the floor seats but paid the lower level price. WIN!
What's better than seeing NCAA Men's Bball? Seeing it from great seats that cost about 1/2 the price you'd pay to see a stellar game at a home court!
Really fun tournament. Had to walk through a very smoky casino, though.
Very good game between two top tier teams and it delivered. Was a great game, tons of action, and though the result was pretty evident with about 10 minutes left in the game, the players were still playing hard and the action never waned.
What a great venue and an awesome experience!! I can't wait for next year!
The tournament itself was great. The games we attended went well and we saw some good basketball. Mohegan Sun, however, gets an F from all 18 of us who went. We attended the first session on Saturday, with the first game starting at noon. At 11:45, 15 minutes before tip off, ALL of the concession stands were out of hot food, except hot dogs. 45 minutes later and they were out of hot dogs. I still don't understand how they could be so unprepared. I did hear a worker mention that they don't usually do matinee shows and just weren't sure what to expect. Based on the number of people I saw walking in with pre-purchased tickets, I am guessing they had a pretty good idea as to what the headcount would be. We had 11 12 and 13 year old boys with our group. Like most growing boys, they eat constantly. Not being able to feed them at lunch time? That didn't go over well. I would seriously reconsider before attending another event at Mohegan, especially until they get their act together.
Great venue at the Mohegan Sun and great match up between Louisville and UNC.
The game was great. Very close the whole time. It helped that I don't think there is a bad seat at Mohegan Sun Arena. Everyone could see the action.
Great weekend at Mohegan Sun watching awesome hoop! They had some high level competition between some very historic universities. Impressive that they can bring this talent in on a yearly basis!! Keep up the great work & looking forward to next years event already!!
Love the stags! valiant effort vs the defending national champs!
The basketball games were great, and it was fun to be able to see to premier programs such as North Carolina and Louisville so close to home. The Mohegan Sun Arena has good sight lines for basketball, and the timeout entertainment was fun for the kids to watch. The concessions, though, left a lot to be desired. Only a few windows were open, and those that were open near the arena entrance also had specialty drink stands open across from them, causing a horrible bottleneck of people at halftime. Had an emergency situation occurred, people surely would have been trampled. Also, the few available concession windows were constantly running out of items. During one visit, the stand was out of sliders, pretzels, and sausages, and during another visit two different windows were out of popcorn. The people manning the stations were also not interested in moving the lines along, causing longer-than-necessary waits for the few items they did have.
Great time! Great game! Will go again next year. The staff was helpful.
