Banda el Recodo -- the group's full name is Banda Sinaloense el Recodo de Don Cruz Lizarraga -- celebrated their 75th anniversary in 2013, and the Mexican Banda group hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. During the landmark year, the ever-evolving band -- believed to be the first Banda act to release a commercial recording -- was awarded with the Musical Legacy Award at the Billboard Mexican Music Awards.
Banda el Recodo was founded by clarinetist Cruz Lizarraga in 1938, and he remained the bandleader until he died of cancer in 1995. The group is still in the Lizarraga family, however, and counts four of his sons among its members. Banda el Recodo still tours regularly -- often playing in the United States -- with a huge lineup of musicians playing clarinets, trombones, trumpets, tuba, and various percussion instruments, along with vocalists. Fans who buy tickets to a Banda el Recodo concert can expect a wide range of styles representing the massive swaths of musical ground -- including Latin, big band, jazz and classical -- they've covered over their hundreds of recordings.

The whole night was awsome, enjoyed all the performances . It was a perfect day for a date on valentines
Venue was awful if you don't have vip then go there 3hrs early due to no parking and you have to get in line for apx 2hrs to go inside the venue. Show was good Banda recodo musicians were louder than the singers. Voz de Mando and Espinoza were amazing they made the night.
Only gave it 2 stars because of the artist that performed. besides that the hole experience sucked. There was a long line just to get through security which was operating through one door only for the entire venue. Finally get in and the place is huge but everything looks un-organized and there are a handful of tables for people to sit. They sold food but had nowhere to sit so i literally eat over a trash can because there were no tables or anything. then when the performers came out the sound sucked, you couldn't here anything they were singing or saying when they addressed the crowd. honestly it was a waste of money in my eyes because nothing was organized.
Doors didn't open til after 7:15 or later, set up was not the best, crowd was standing and once the show started, people were very rude when you tried to get out or in the crowds. We got shoved several times -.- Voz de Mando was great! And Recodo was of course AMAZING! Didn't stay for Espinoza Paz cause we don't care for him but i couldn't believe Recodo opened for Espinoza Paz!
This is a great place to see big bands but normally these bands play a little more exciting. On saturday they were a bit down, amybe because of the member who died. Either way we pay to watch the show and listen to music and some expected more. I wished Recoditos played a little longer too. Thank you
I loved the atmosphere. The music, the bands. It was amazing. I would gladly do it over again..
The gates opened at 1 but nothing really started until 2 o'clock. There were many vendors selling food and beverages including beer, liquor, and mixed drinks. The two groups that started the event played well and there was a rodeo show also. The main groups/bands started around 5 PM. All the groups/bands were amazing! We were there until around 11 o'clock. Well worth the price of entrance. Everyone was having a great time. They also open the ground floors so that everyone can get closer and dance if they want.
Had a great time, great VIP Seating only thing once everyone got to the dance floor as I was not able to see and had to get up. So purpose of sitting not well planned or thought out
It was awesome! Event was not promoted much but the day before I randomly looked for Harrah's events and saw they were playing . I mentioned it to my boyfriend we went and it was amazing. Super lively everyone dancing great drinks at Harrah's except the service to get a drink takes forever! But other than that a great performance great music and over all great night! Please come back!

Voz de Mando was amazing...danced the whole entire time this performer was onstage!
Good times! Great music! The artists were great! Music was good and cold beer! Great experience and the venue was big lots of space
The Concert was great ! Definitely got my moneys worth for this concert, Banda el recodo sure knows how to deliver a great concert.
I sat in the vip area and it was not too bad, the security didnt let people get closer to the stage or dance in between sections, they were kind of rude. Other than that, the music was good.
good show but organization was bad. long lines to get in and if you were vip had to get into another line vip all you got was a numbered seat thats all
