Banda el Recodo -- the group's full name is Banda Sinaloense el Recodo de Don Cruz Lizarraga -- celebrated their 75th anniversary in 2013, and the Mexican Banda group hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. During the landmark year, the ever-evolving band -- believed to be the first Banda act to release a commercial recording -- was awarded with the Musical Legacy Award at the Billboard Mexican Music Awards.
Banda el Recodo was founded by clarinetist Cruz Lizarraga in 1938, and he remained the bandleader until he died of cancer in 1995. The group is still in the Lizarraga family, however, and counts four of his sons among its members. Banda el Recodo still tours regularly -- often playing in the United States -- with a huge lineup of musicians playing clarinets, trombones, trumpets, tuba, and various percussion instruments, along with vocalists. Fans who buy tickets to a Banda el Recodo concert can expect a wide range of styles representing the massive swaths of musical ground -- including Latin, big band, jazz and classical -- they've covered over their hundreds of recordings.
Great concert! Will definitely go to another banda concert again
The concert was great. The application to retrieve the tickets was so easy.
Worth every cent! It was an amazing experience & super affordable! Never been so close to the stage!
THIS CONCERT WAS AMAZING ;) CAN WAIT TILL THEIR NEXT SAN DIEGO CONCERT
Lovely experience I have always purchase my tickets here never had an issue
An experience I will never forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great performance from the band missing Poncho! Cabazon employees (securities) had very poor customer service and attitude!
I felt the show went by too fast. It needed an opening artist.
Any seat in the house was great. It’s more of an intimate experience with the performers
They were fun but too short only played for 1 hour and half. I wouldn’t go see them again
Recodo sang their classic songs, made famous by other singers, along with their two other hits from the past decade. The venue brought me down memory lane, it seemed like they were playing at a quincenera. They were really close so that was nice. Other than that, they were nothing special. At the end of their show they didn't thank the people in attendance and just walked off stage abruptly. The venue could use more bartenders, they were a bit slow in that aspect. Lines for drinks took forever for such a short show.
This concert felt so intimate because the venue is not that big so it was perfect. Had front seats the performance was amazing played all my favorites songs and the band interacted with he fans which made it even better pictures were taken it was just a fabulous night the only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the concert was short 1 1/2 comparing to 3 hours that I’m use to but either way I enjoyed it just wished it was longer like other times.
I was really close to the stage and getting in was fast. I would return.
The best, couldn’t have been any happier. Wish to attend more of their events!
This was an awesome concert 2 hours of non stop music with there best hits
The show was just too short. Preformed only about 8 songs. Show lasted only about 1 hour and 20 min
It was el recodo on tour with Los recoditos. I had a good time, they sang some of their classic oldies and new songs as well. Great environment.
Loved the event it was an amazing night with my wife, I felt in love again with her
The best baile EVER!!! I recommend this event to everyone!
Went to see Banda Recodo and was very disappointed to see that they lip sing instead of singing live. It seems like a play put on by the owner who is clearly not a singer and is crying out for attention. I've been to many concerts and this has been by far my worst experience. Worst 200 dollars spent. Banda Recoditos did a great job and performed well.
