    INCREDIBLE!

    by Ricopace91 on 3/22/12Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

This was my second time seeing this band. I first saw them at Midtown Music Festival this Fall - I knew then I had to see them again. What a perfect venue for such an intense band! The Variety Playhouse was a perfect combination of comfort and good acoustics - really made the show awesome.

Band of Skulls is a MUST SEE!

    by AllyM86 on 3/21/12Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

First of all, the venue was awesome! At first I was nervous it would be too small, but the size was perfect! The sound was awesome in there. I had seen Band of Skulls at Music Midtown back in September, but they honestly sounded better at Variety. If you ever get the chance to see these guys live, I would suggest doing so. They are each so talented and perform so well together! Can't wait to see them live again.

    Incredible

    by scat1974 on 3/21/12Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

It was AMAZING!!! I loved this show. The venue is not my favorite, but the bands performance helped overcome the lack of ambiance.

Band of Skulls Sweet, never Sour

by RayRayATL on 3/21/12Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

The Brit rock trio rocked the Variety Playhouse -- starting with Sweet Sour. It's easy to hear influences from blues, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Jimmy Hendrix, but their sound is still totally unique. Her vocals are Pretenders-like -- I actually wanted to hear her shine more as she's so good. The drummer KILLS it. And the lead guitarist/singer helped slow up songs and speed them down, making it less like a studio recording and exactly like the rock show we hoped for. The concert was full of both songs from both their albums. Faves were Hollywood Bowl and Cold Flame. But loved Bruises and the Devil Takes Care of his Own. I bought tix the day they went on sale and I bought their new album the week it came out. I will definitely see them every time they come through the ATL. Probably one of my all-time favorite bands.

Awesome show. Glad I saw this band in such a small venue because I think they will be playing much bigger places very soon! Mercury Lounge is an awesome intimate setting and the sound was right on.

Band of Skulls Rocks Mercury Lounge

by Yets on 10/2/11Mercury Lounge - New York

It was a late show and I was feeling a bit old... The opening act started at 10pm but the second they hit the stage I was energized. Gringo Star was a great companion band to play with. They played musical chairs with their instruments. They all played everything and everything, well. Drums, keyboard, guitar and bass. Their best song was Holding onto Hate. I downloaded it the next day. I met Band of Skulls biggest fan and it was awesome because the lead singer played to him and I was standing right next to him, so it was like he was playing to me. They sang a lot of new songs, which made me so excited for their new album. Band of Skulls is a great band and I felt privileged to see them in such a small venue. They belong on a big stage. They rocked the roof off the place. They were energetic, played well together and were just, tight! When the crowd sang along to one of the songs, the biggest smile spread across Russell's face. It was nice to see. The in between song banter wasn't really there, but it didn't need to be because the songs were so amazing. It was a great night. I got to meet the band and take some pictures with them, also.

I have been waiting for them to come to the U.S. and I was NOT disappointed! The opening act, Gringo Star, was excellent. Band of Skulls did a wonderful mix of old and new, which made me impatient for the release of their next album. I danced. I drank. And, I had a wonderful time. Wish I could've gone to both shows.

    BOS Rocks!

    by Serafina007 on 1/28/11Marquee Theater - Tempe

Saw Band of Skulls at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ. I had heard a few songs on the radio and wanted to hear more. They were amazing. The band was spot-on in every way. Would love for them to come back and play at a larger venue. Will definitely go see them again and I hear they're working on a new CD. Can't wait for it to come out. They are even better live than in studio. Their music is popping up in commercials, movies and TV shows, and I'm so happy for their success. My husband had never heard of them, but he fell in love with their sound as well. It's alternative rock with their own unique vibe.

Band of Skulls was bad to the BONE!

    by MrsPeel1 on 12/13/09Troubadour - West Hollywood

This three-member, tight-knit British band really knows how to "Rock the Casbah" -- or The Troubadour, in this case! Love their organic, uncomplicated melodies and raw sound! Would relish a chance to see them in concert again!
