A GREAT live band, I actually enjoy their music more than the record! Deap Vally was a pleasant surprise, not what I expected but a great opening set.
I traveled from Pittsburgh, PA to the Columbus show after seeing the band in Pittsburgh and was so excited for the show. I twisted my ankle 1 block from the show. Not only did the bar tender give me a bag of ice for my ankle but the staff let me sit in the front section during the opening act to ice my ankle in a chair. Thank you so much Newport Music hall and Band of Skulls. Even though my ankle is the size of a baseball right now I had a really great time and recommend both the band and the venue to everyone. It was a great night. Thank you
My friends and I traveled from Cleveland to Columbus for these guys, which is about 2-2.5 hours away. The thing is, this wasn't our first time doing that for Band of Skulls. They are fantastic live and I'd do it again. They sound just like the studio versions, but better. The audience is a bit older so there wasn't as much movement as I normally enjoy but I'm not reviewing the audience. This band is the beez kneez.
Absolutely one of the best bands going. They are definitely a band not to miss. I love every song they do.
Band of Skulls was excellent and did not disappoint. I had an excellent unobstructed view. It was my third time to see Band of Skulls and the most memorable.
The British band totally brought down the house! They were very passionate with their performance and they connected with the audience. Best of all, they have the audience exactly what they wanted! It was my one of my first real concerts and I enjoyed it fully! Plus, I got a chance to meet them after the concert and they were really nice, chill people.
Such a magical and passionate night, the music was incredible and they played with such love. One of the best concerts I've seen in a long time.
Fantastic concert, third time seeing them (Williamsburg, Paradise) and it's always something special compared to other concerts I go to. Russell and Emma's voices together are strikingly harmonic, doesn't seem like they mess with it at all when recording the albums. You can go to see them and guaranteed it's going to sound better live and you will like the songs on the album more than you did before. They are just sincere and very talented, not east to come by, don't miss them.
Good show, but the shortest concert I've ever attended. An hour and 20 minutes (including encore) is not enough, especially for an up and coming band. I still love the band, just disappointed.
They played an awesome show and it was even better than I expected! The venue was perfect for this British rock group of 3 and loved how I got an unobstructed view to all their amazing on-stage performance.
With so many artists using heavy backing tracks, it's refreshing to hear real live music
Great show, high energy, awesome location, great crowd interaction
I enjoyed Band of Skulls' set, but, in my opinion, Vintage Trouble totally stole the show! They were so groovy and I really loved how involved they were with the crowd. The whole band has an amazing energy and you can't help but groove with them! Band of Skulls was a little more subdued and not as involved with the crowd so I would give them 3 stars. Vintage Trouble DEFINITELY gets 5 stars from this gal ;)
The evening started with a great opening number. Then the real kids came to play. Band of Skulls killed the last stop of their tour. My love for this band goes back to 2010 when I saw them for the first time at Lollapalooza. I will definitely be seeing them again!
Love Vinyl and the Band of Skulls sounded amazing.
Went only to see Vintage Trouble, they were amazing as always. Ty Taylor is a showman and knows how to bring the house down. They have been on every evening talk show: David Letterman, Jay Leno, Kimmel and Conan, can't wait to see where they go next. Stayed a bit to check out Band of Skulls. They weren't my music and It sounded like one long song, in other words every song sounded the same, but they were pretty good and looks like they have a big following. However, we need more Vintage Trouble in Las Vegas for sure.
One of the best concerts i've seen in 2012! Must see band!
They sound great! The show they put on is great and the overall feel of the audience should feed off their energy like it did at this show. I will definitely be on the look our for any of their shows for here on out. Ponderosa was a great opening act as well.
Band of skulls was awesome. The warm up band may have been good too, but it was way too loud & the sound not balanced so you could not hear the singer at all. First song of the Skulls was also too loud & couldn't hear the singers, but they got it fixed after that. They are talented and also seemed to be having fun. The only other negatives were that smoking is allowed in this venue & the start time on the ticket was when the doors opened. The first band didn't start for another hour & a half.
This was by far the Best concert I've ever seen. Amazing Venue! Amazing live band!
