Unbelievable!! Well worth it. I would definitely go see it again
Love the show, every moment was amazing!!! I will recomended to anyone and will go to see them again. One little thing, will love to see Derek Hough as well.
Very talented and beautiful female dancers. First row seat allowed good views of magnificent legs.
Great show. Well done, main dancers interacted with the audience, made you feel part of the show. Would go again if the show came back.
an uninspiring waste of of sunday afternoon dancers performing with out their soul just going thru their paces and prances a sad waste of money lackluster capitalizing on television with poor result
Dancing was outstanding, the show was non stop, over two hour of complete enjoyment. Not only the dancing the singers were an added entertainment note. All were excellent. We completely enjoyed the performance that lasted over 2 hours. It if comes to you town take the time to go and see this show, you will not be disappointed.
Fabulous! I had a great afternoon! It's amazing what the cast was capable of doing without "the glitz" of the TV studio!! They provided "the glitz" with costumes & movement alone..... I loved the background lights & patterns...someone was doing an excellent job with the lighting!!! Excellent, fascinating, beautiful, very moving!!! I'll go again next year if the opportunity is there! Thanks for a spectacular afternoon of twist!!!!
The performance was very enjoyable. It was obvious that it was a low budget performance. Was a little disappointed that there wasn't more pizzazz, like cool lighting and smoke, etc. For the price of the tickets I was truly expecting more. But bottom line is I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were very disappointed in this show. We felt it was not worth the money and very amateurish. Some of the dancing was good but the American Idol singers did not add anything to the show. It did not flow well and having a question and answer segment was a little silly. It seemed they were just trying to fill time.
I love “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” so I was pretty excited to see “Ballroom with a Twist.” Unfortunately the title is far more fun than the show which was quite boring. The music fell flat and the dances were uninspired. While Chelsie Hightower and Dmitry Chaplin are fabulous dancers, they only danced 3 short numbers. The best part of the show was the singing by Gina Glocksen and Von Smith.
I went by myself and that way I got to enjoy the show with out any distractions. Gina and Vonn were awsome , I love all the dancing and I have to say when I watch dancing with the stars it will give me a more personal connection with Chelse and Anna and Dmitry. Thank you for entertaining me. Luci
I attended this show last year (at the orchestra) and besides the lack of live music this time (and different stars) it was the same show. The Dancing with the Stars professionals barely danced, they mostly interacted with the audience. The bulk of the dancing was done by the other ballroom dancers, and a few dances featured the SYTYCD dancers. I was much more impressed with the first show than this one. The dancing didn't seem as well rehearsed as it could have been (some sloppy moments). The singers were great, but overall, the show was a little disappointing.
Sorry, I didn't like the show. Very little money put into the show. No stage props or Musicians. The dancing with stars celeberties were hardly even in the show. Great disappointment. At Break many of the people didn't come back.
My girl friends and I went to the show on Friday evening and we enjoyed the dancing and singing entertainment. The dancing was great (I thought the star Chelsea Hightower, Dymitry, & Anna could have danced a little more). I was uncertain how the singers would be I had not really heard of either of them but I was very impressed by their vocals. I thought our seats would have been better. The chairs are very comfortable but we were off to the sides and unable to see the entire production.
Excellent performance great singing and dancing. Great choreo. Recommend it to anyone.
The show was amazing!! The young troupe of dancers was a joy to watch and the American Idol singers were outstanding!! I would have given it 5 stars but I can,t understand why the DWTS people were even there?the time spent with them doing poor stand up could have been used to let the young dancers do more dancing!! The dancing the DWTS cast did was very good!! I really wish there were more dancing shows like this,it was a pleasure to watch,it,s amazing !!
I enjoyed Ballroom with a Twist. But I would have enjoyed it more if the professionals could have been dancing on stage more. The group dancers were good, but when Chelsea & Dimitry danced and then Anna & Dimitry, the whole stage just lit up. Their skill level and artistry was so much more advanced than the group dancers.
So disappointed....Should have paid attention to other reviews. The stars, danced only twice...came out as announcers 3-times. The rest of the show was unknown dancers and 2 idol contestants. I do not recall seeing any " So You Think You Can Dance" acts as indicated in the sales preview. Very low budget stage show. There were NO props...NO orchestra or live music to make the show interesting and appealing to watch. Just plain boring. Save your money...there is absolutely NO comparison to the Dancing with the Stars Show.
As a fan of DWTS and SYTYCD am used to seeing a very high level of dance amongst the professionals, this show did not meet my expectations. They seemed very average. There was not enough dance from Jonathan and Anna, and (understandably) no chemistry between the two during their talking parts; maybe those need to be scripted/acted... Also, don't say you're going to do Q&A and not let the audience ask questions. The background did not enhance the performances and a live band or better sound system would have helped. The singing was good, but not being an American Idol watcher, I couldn't really get excited about names I haven't heard. I am normally not ths critical, but I had my hopes up high and was very disappointed. Oh, and don't promote hip hop and not have any authentic hip hop dancers! Surely there were SYTYCD contestants that could have participated. This show does not do the brands it promotes justice.
Thought the dancing and singing was great. Loved the different style of dancing. My husband & I enjoye the entire evening.
