Ballet Met’s Nutcracker is a holiday tradition for my family. We have been taking our daughter every year since she was about 8 years old and we always love it. Ballet Met’s show and the Ohio Theater are beautiful. But the best part of course is Tchaikovsky’s incredible music performed by the CSO. Spectacular!

Every year I take grandchildren to the Nutcracker. This year there were 8 of us (two adopted grandchildren). They ranged in ages from my 72 to 19 years old. We all had a great time! Loved the show. The adopted grandchildren had never seen the Nutcracker and they were blown away by the performance. What a great holiday tradition!
This was the first time my daughter has ever seen the Nutcracker. She and I absolutely loved it. It was a perfect Mother & Daughter night out. We had good seats and was able to see all the action of the musical. The greeters were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to see the Nutcracker again next year. Thanks for a great evening.
I took my 5 granddaughters ages 5-8. It was magical, the Ohio Theatre, the Christmas decorations, the orchestra pit, the stage, the costumes, the backdrops and props, the carolers, the seats, the crafts, we loved it all. Can’t wait to return next year!

I'll be honest. I just went to this because my wife wanted to. But I can host say, I really enjoyed it. There were some talented folks in this show! The music was just phenomenal! The sets were visually appealing. Overall, it was just great, and I'm glad I experienced it with my family.
I’ve seen many many productions of The Nutcracker. This was, hands down, the most beautiful production I’ve ever seen.
This is the 4th time for my wife and I, 2nd year in a row with our granddaughter - and it has been almost unbearably hot both times with her. Last year it was in the teens or below outside so we figured the theater was just over-compensating. This year it was around 40 degrees and way hot again. I asked a couple staff members/volunteers about it but they didn't have any answers. We very much like the production, but this has really taken away from our enjoyment. I'm not eager to return...
The dancing is very good hence the three stars. But the narration cost it a star. And opening act is far too busy. I’ve seen many other productions are better
This was the first time that I have seen a performance of the Nutcracker. The dancing was very impressive, and the costumes and sets were breathtaking. The performance of the orchestra was flawless. My husband and I had a lot of fun.
This was one of the Christmas gifts to my 10-year-old granddaughter. I had never seen it, and it was a very memorable event for both of us. The beautiful architecture of the Ohio Theatre, the great orchestra, dazzling costumes and fabulously talented dancers all contributed to an amazing experience!
With a nice and familiar score and performance. Having seen this production many, many years in San Francisco, that's been my bar and expectation. I appreciated the enthusiastic and committed performance by all the dancers and musicians and their supporting staff.
This is one of the most fun versions I have seen. Whimsical and entertaining.
It has been about 16 years since I last saw the nutcracker and I found this particular production to be dissapointing. I don’t remember, and didn’t like, the almost “comedic” feel to the first act. I found the second act to be rather bland with regards to the stage set, and the mouse costumes looked like old worn out stuffed animals. The dancers were very talented and the music superb.
