Ballet Theatre of Ohio Tickets

The Nutcracker was a wonderful show. You can tell everyone worked really hard to give such a fantastic performance! My daughter and I loved it.

The only thing for me upset that a group of 4 people that didn't have tickets cut in front of us that were rude and one of them had lice. We had 3rd roll seats. These people waited until everyone was seated then they cut in and set in. I know for a fact it wasn't their seats.

Went to see the Nutcracker on a Saturday afternoon. Thought we had bought amazing seats. Nope! There is no incline on the floor level so if someone tall sits in front of you, you won't see the show. Very disappointing especially for my daughter (8 years old) and her first ballet performance. This show was not what I was expecting for the cost. They were amateur actors. I wanted the real thing! It felt like my daughter's dance performance at the end of the year. Will not return. The venue was cool looking with some fun history.

Enjoyable, well done, awesome experience for our young granddaughter's first trip to the ballet, she loved it.

Arriving early we were able to mosey around the vestibule; enjoying snacks, drinks, and vendors with theme related gifts. The atmosphere is mesmerizing and the staff is over the top!! I have always loved the ballet, and this event only added to the adoration. Thank you Ballet Theater for an amazing family friendly production that never disappoints!! No lack of class here..

We were amazed that a small midwest city like Akron could put on such a professional performance. We've seen The Nutcracker in Los Angeles, Seattle and in New York and this was every bit as good as those performances. Akron Civic Theater was the ultimate venue. The sets were gorgeous and the dancers were perfection from the ornery little boys in the Christmas party scene to the grizzled Herr Drosselmeyer character to every beautifully talented man, woman, girl and boy in between. One stand out performer was the little girl who played the male columbine doll. She carried the scene with grace, technical perfection and the enthusiasm of a seasoned performer who loves what she does. (All of the doll characters were superb, but when discussing over coffee later, we all remembered her first. Expect great things, her parents and teachers.) The Ballet Theatre of Ohio has proven itself world class. We, who are difficult to stun, were impressed.

Took my granddaughter to her first ballet- The Nutcracker. She loved it and was in awe. I’ll have to add I liked the “free” parking for the show. Cleveland charges for parking! Well def be back for more shows!

The Ballet Theatre of Ohio delivered an outstanding performance of Cinderella! Truly impressive talent on stage. Akron Civic Theatre is a beautiful venue to visit, and it is fitting that the last theater I was in last February became the first one I returned to after more than a year. Wearing a mask isn’t always comfortable, sure, but it was worth it to be safely back in a theater. Temperature checks at the door were also an appreciated precaution.

I like their dancing but there was no singing or real music
