Beautiful dancing, music, costumes, sets and dancers! Everything is beautiful at the ballet.
At times, I believe the audience is very quick to give a standing ovation at events, but this time it was well deserved!!!
Ballet performance was the most colorful western classical event I have ever seen. The Phoenix Symphony orchestra is just magnificent. The ballet dancers were pros and this was a real great performance, spectacular special effects. I take out one star because the ballet did not have that quintessential Russian charm or calisthenic precision of the Bolshoi. Other than that its one of the must see ballets during ones lifetime.
I'm embarrassed to say that I had never seen the ballet Swan Lake before yesterday. I knew the music and had seen bits of the ballet on television, but this was the first time I had seen it live and it was fabulous! Everything was awe-inspiring; the dancing, the costumes, the music, the sets. It was just a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I was so pleased to see such a diverse group in the audience. Lots of us grey hairs; but there were also hundreds of children who were absolutely delighted by the production. Kudos to all. It was a great afternoon.
I absolutely loved the performance. I attended Saturday night. Costumes were great. Dancers were awsome. I was very impressed with everything I witnessed throughout the entire performance. Beautifully done. Great job to all!!!!! Jon
We felt the performance was exceptional. The beauty and elegance of the dancers was extremely uplifting. The scenery and costumes enhanced the performance. The orchestra complemented the extraordinary choreography. We also want to thank Ticketmaster for exchanging our tickets so that we would not miss this performance. Our grandson was very seriously ill in New York and we were called there to care for him for two weeks. When I called to exchange the tickets for a time when we returned to Scottsdale, your agents were extremely helpful and understanding. They are to be commended.
The piece really kept your attention and was an amazing work of art. Choreography was excellent, I've recommended it to several friends=) It was a very relaxing and enjoyable evening.
I enjoyed the way the dancers faces were so expressive. Very symbolic, the way in which the swan dancers hands and arms resembled the head and neck of a swan. Even though a dancer fell in the first act, we all felt bad for him because he looked like he was trying very hard. Plus he looked handsome, so that helped him too. The ushers were quite helpful, Although they could use a little more instruction as to where the portals are. We were misdirected twice. I was pleased that even though we are entering winter, that the auditorium was still cooled. Prince Siegfried and Lady Odette's love looked real. Very extraordinary!! They were awesome! Thank you for making my experience a memorable one!
My daughter & I enjoyed this performance. It was fantastic!
I thought it was absolutely beautiful. The dancers were amazing and the set was beautiful. I would definitely see it again.
I thought swan lake was fantstic, beautiful and gracious. I would highly recommend this play to everyone.
We really had a good time. I would recommend it as a family outting.
It was beautifully done, with grace and style. The audience loved it!
The cast at large were acceptable. Three dancers were wonderful. A section with up tempo steps were choppy, but performed on point. The audience wanted a Disney ending, but given the inexperience of the prince against a powerful sorcerer; the realistic outcome prevailed. The dances of foreign lands were relief in breaking dramatic tension. The costumes were very beautiful, as was the set.
Mesmerizing, lovely and dreamlike. The cast was in great form and Natalia and Astrit were a wonderful partnership. A must see!
I worked for the San Franciso Ballet in the sales department and saw Swan Lake and it was the most bbeautiful ballet I've seen, When I saw that I could take my 10 year old I jumped at the chance and wow outstanding...my daugther talked about it all the way back to Gilbert, AZ. I've lived in Atlanta, GA, New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles and now Phoenix area and was hoping to have the arts here in Phoenix area!!!! Phoenix has not let me down!!!! Thank-you I LOVE THE ARTS
Wonderful experience! The set, costume and the lighting enhanced the talent of the dancers. The music was wonderful. Overall, one of the best performances of Swan Lake I've ever seen.
The company of BalletArizona played a fine performance and the Phoenix Symphony provided beautiful accompaniment. A very worthy way to spend an afternoon or evening and support local performing arts!
Coming from New York, I grew up attending the NYC Ballet . This production comes very close to them. The Prima Ballerina was amazing and the lead male dancer was more than adequate. He was very strong with great lifts and quite attractive. The symphony did a very good job. The sets and costumes were wonderful. All around a very pleasant time. I will purchase a season pass next year.
First of all, I could not believe what great seating we had for only $15.00!!! We were on the main floor in the back but could see the stage perfectly!!! The acoustics were incredible and the staging was beautiful!!! The dancers were astounding and overall the whole ballet was intense, dramatic, and took your breath away! I actually did not want the ballet to end. I will definitely see this event next year and for years to come.
